Wonderful little bookshop. We need to treasure these places! I never order online now that I have this place on my doorstep. Anything not in stock they order for me within a couple of days, and the loyalty card stamps means it's a bargain too. Lovely childrens' section and greetings cards as well as a wealth of new and second hand books.

No fault here - knowledgeable staff, a well stocked shop, with an excellent second hand section; speedy ordering for items not in stock. I appreciate the growing focus on LGBTI+ titles, and BME authors. The book group/s are lively, and successful. Improved counter area now that the screens are gone. Please reinstate the/a LGBTIQ+ banner. Thank you!

I've been using this shop for more than 20 years, even though I now have a moratorium on my book buying as I have two shelves of unread books. They also have a delightful range of greeting cards, stationery and gifts and a huge second hand stock in the back and downstairs. The staff have been there for ever, a very good sign in the shifting population of booksellers elsewhere, and are always friendly and helpful.

Charming bookstore with really helpful/super nice staff that ordered a book for me that came the very next day. Upon getting delayed to pick the book up, I called to ask about their closing time and briefly mentioned I was taking the book to a friend who is currently in hospital, to which they said they would stay open until I got there. An extra 10 minutes really meant a lot. Having recently moved to the area, this shop is a gem - thank you so much! Looking forward to returning.

The bookstore is excellent. Always a fascinating selection, a tasty second-hand cubby at the back and buried treasure downstairs. Also their Twitter account is priceless for music recommendations, which is an unexpected boon.

A little Sydenham gem. Always has a great selection, good displays and accessories section. There is also a second-hand bookshop downstairs which has a treasure trove of items. The real highlight is the children's section which is beautifully curated and laid out. Perfect for last minute Christmas gifts!

This is a great local books shop. They have a really child accessible book area and welcome them to the shop. They selection is great and its so nice to flick through the pages of a book before buying. They have also ordered books in for me. They have loads of cards and bits and bobs of ethical gift items. I always pop in to get gifts as I know there will be some thing suitable for anyone. I am sure I sound a bit gushy but it is such a fabulous resource to have in the area. Plus a post box out side to send the birthday card from...

Wide variety of good books. Plenty of newly published books, literature, history, political and cultural, popular science, local interest, children's and young adult. Big quality second hand sections. Also gifts, toys and cards. Free humbugs before Christmas.

Friendly, helpful staff. I've ordered lots of books recently and they've always arrived promptly - typically next day. I decided some time ago to support my local bookshop. No regrets!

A great selection of books with many genres. The shop is larger than I thought with a extra room for children's books and a down stairs section also. A good choice of second hand books at very reasonable prices.

One of my favourite local bookshops in South London. Attentive, knowledgeable staff. Lovely, calm atmosphere inside, great selection available + orders come in on time. I've yet to leave this store disappointed and empty handed.

Firstly I am a self confessed bibliophile so all book shops are wonderful to me However there are those that surpass expectations and really go the 'extra mile and this is one of them The benefits are endless so I' d urge you to visit but there is a 'used' book section in the basement down the rickety stairs You could spend a day down here alone. There is also a rare and collectable section + childrens section too besides the new releases The shop is always changing and evolving and like all good bookshops, it is totally addictive in a 'guilty pleasure' sort of way. My only issue is that of parking as it really is hellish in this area but if they haven't got what you want they'll order it in for you and in this 'virtual' age nothing feeds the soul and the senses like a real book that you hold, keep and love for life.
