From the second I came into the shop, I was made to feel as a regular - not just a random person. We had a great discussion, talking me through my options. I originally went here to ask them if they could fix my haircut another barbers did (which had ruined my hair). They really boosted my confidence and made me feel 100x more confident leaving there. I highly recommended Essex Boys to everyone, you will not be rushed, or disappointed and will want to return like I will.

The warmth and welcome from little mem was really exceptional. He was really centred on making sure he used his skill to advise me what my options were but still giving me plenty of choice.

I was recommended to come here, and would absolutely return. Visited today with my 21 month little boy! Absolutely fab experience, extremely friendly & welcoming from the moment I walked through the door. My little one can get a bit anxious when having his hair cut. Nick was fantastic, really patient, and brilliant with my little one. Nothing was too much trouble. There was another gentleman in the barbers to but I didn’t get his name, he was also fab help. It’s clear to see how much they enjoy their job. A big thank you to Essex Boys Barbers. We look forward to visiting again very soon.

Well what can I say, Essex Boys Barbers are the best in Essex hands down in my opinion.
Staff are very friendly and professional, they actually listen to what you ask for and always go the extra mile.
I will never go anywhere else.
Oh and not to mention the prices are bang on too, well worth the money. Well worth the visit even if you don't live in Essex.
So if you need that fresh cut, pop down to Essex Boys Barbers. Because I can assure you that you won't be disappointed and you definitely won't regret it.

Essex Boys barber's is probably the best known barber's in Chelmsford, Mehmet and his team are true experts, both men and kid's are always happy whether it's a haircut or shave.
Mehmet and his delightful wife also give back to those who are less fortunate than most, by treating those in need free haircuts on a regular basis.

Our boy has been going here for a long time and had a bad experiance at another barbers and wouldn't let anyone cut his hair. Essex boys were very patient with him and started off with our boy sitting on my lap and in a very short space of time they gained his trust and he was willing to sit in the chair on his own and now gets excited when we tell him that we are going to get his hair cut. Always great service and friendly staff, I wouldn't consider taking our boy elsewhere even though its not local to where we live, it's worth the travel.

For years now we have taken our son to Essex Boys as he point blank refuses to go anywhere else. They are part of our extended family! They have done a fantastic job every single time, whatever the "latest" idea and style he's had. Staff are amazing, warm and friendly and they're very reasonably priced. My son in law even travels from Norwich on a monthly basis as he won't go anywhere else either!

Hands down the best barber shop in town! Hair cuts are a challenge for my son but thanks to Mem & Tracey it has now become a more enjoyable experience and my son looks forward to visiting. Very patient and understanding, they take the time to talk my son through the process and keep him entertained throughout. Plus a lolly pop at the end always brightens his day!

Yeah best barbers around, my boys love them.. Tracey always knows how to calm the kids down and get them ready for a haircut, really makes the whole experience fun and less stressful and the cuts are always on point

Essex boys is by far the best barbers in town! I bring both my stepsons here once a month and they won't go anywhere else. Little Mem always does such a fantastic job and mem and Tracy go the extra mile for everyone who walks through their door! Would recommend to anyone! Thanks guys xx

Mehmet was super patient with my almost three year old who hates having his hair cut. Was calm and patient and still managed to do a great job despite his screaming wriggling customer! Would highly recommend. Thanks so much.

My son Craig has been coming to Essex Boys barbers since they first opened in chelmsford.
I needed help to get Craig’s hair cut at the age of 7.
Mehmet and his team members took the time to calm Craig down and managed to get his hair cut, taking the stress off of me trying to do it at home.
I dreaded every visit as it was horrible to see my child upset just having a haircut, but eventually Craig felt confident with the team and became happy attending and now even looks forward to seeing the whole team.
He loves Tracy and Mehmet and always gives them big hugs and even cheekily, pinches their bottoms.
Craig has now been attending Essex boys barbers for 15 years and I’m so proud of how far he has come from the scared little boy to the cheeky young man he is today. Thank you Mehmet and your team at Essex Boys Barbers, without you, I don’t know how I would have coped.

Been attending with my son and my partner for the last 6/7 years and what can I say, the best barbers we got always happy, making sure kids are happy and settled, smiles all round, my youngest always asking for mem and Tracey when he plan his hair cut! Defo the best around :)

Lovely barber shop for kids' haircuts. They were patient and gentle with our two boys and the hairstyles were the coolest we've had!

Couldn’t recommend Essex boys barbershop anymore if I tried. My little boy was absolutely petrified and I dreaded getting his hair cut. Both Tracey & mehmet have been unbelievably patient with him and have taken the time to build a bond with him that I now look forward to getting his hair cut.
