Bumble Bee

We really enjoyed our time at the Bumble Bee. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely. Very good value for money. Will be going back there again.

**Update, 12/03/24: Well this place has taken a nose dive since our last visit, which was admittedly before lockdown. Plates not being cleared from tables, staff (including kitchen staff!) on their phones at the counter, food taking ages to come out, no onion rings. My partner's cowboy burger and chips seemed to have been overheld and lettuce half arsedly put into the burger. I know staffing in hospitality has been harder since the pandemic but this was so poorly organised and so sad to see. The gravy seemed to have been thrown into the gravy pot from a great height with my chicken burger (my burger and the nachos were the only positives). Really disappointed. If you're closer to Newbridge, go to the Otter (another Marston Inn): larger restaurant, bigger menu, and a lot more organised with the same amount of staff. Absolute shame as it was never this bad. We were only there for Home Bargains but will just give this a miss next time.**

Lovely food, check out the mega meals selection (which are also included in the 2 for 1 offer!), busy restaurant, advisable to book, staff were friendly and great at their jobs. Apologies for not leaving a tip; we didn't have any cash on us and there wasn't an option on the card machine. Would suggest one thing to Marstons, probably have cutlery and sauce stations in the restaurant to take some pressure off of your wonderful staff. Will be visiting again. Thank you. :)

I have never been made to feel so welcome in a restaurant in my life!
From the moment we walked in (no reservation) nothing was too much and it really was an amazing experience.
My little one thoroughly enjoyed his Yorkshire pudding & ice cream that a member of staff recommended!
Already looking forward to the next visit!

So organised and clean! Staff friendly and very good at their jobs. Food was gorgeous! Easy to see why it's busy every day. We will definitely return. Child friendly as well. Highly recommended! And thanks to Phil for helping us have a lovely afternoon 😊 10/10

Thoroughly enjoyed the lovely fish and chips from the main menu,perfectly cooked. The manager Dave was so helpful .We had, my brother and I a pot of tea each but the tea went cold very quickly as the cups were like bowls.

I am pleased to say that there has been much improvement since the recent renovations. The bar staff are welcoming, friendly and seem genuinely friendly. Nothing seems to much trouble. The meal was good, presented well and tasty. Overall our party of 3 were pleasantly satisfied.

Beautiful food and drinks with exceptional service. We come here all the time with our family, thank you to Dave for making our NYE family meal so lovely. Wonderful experience all around, we will be back all the time, as always!

We visited to celebrate our 7th anniversary, the atmosphere was brilliant and all bar staff/waitresses were incredible! Food was delicious and we were made aware as we were sat at our table what wasn’t available (which was only mushrooms). We also stayed for dessert and the apple crumble is insane, it’s delicious and so big that i had to take the majority of it home! overall it was a great experience. Thank you!

Cracking food, best version of hunters chicken that I have ever had! Southern fried hunters chicken is well tasty.
Service was good and friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

This has become quite the regular Thursday spot for me and my partner! Very good value, lovely staff, lovely cosy atmosphere. We were planning to try a few other places as we're fairly new to the area... but why roll the dice when you've already got a 12?

The only thing is that it could possibly do with a few more parking spaces - I'm not sure if you're supposed to use the retail park carpark next door? But I have been, and no problems yet, touch wood! And if you are allowed to use it, happy days, plenty of parking too!

What a lovely evening we had at the bumble bee. Phil, Megan and Keiron's customer service was second to none and created a lovely atmosphere. Food was really good too. We'll be back!

We visited late afternoon so there were not many people here, however the welcome was friendly and welcoming. Some of the items on my plate were slightly cold but the steak 🥩 was cooked to absolute perfection.
Never mind the rest of this rating or post, just try the bloody steak 🥩 absolutely amazing.! Whoever cooked this steak 🥩 is a wasted talent.! Come work for me.!

We went for some food for my daughters birthday, she is coeliac so upon arrival we asked for a gluten free menu which was provided (not told to download app or go to a website, which drives me crazy). Food was really good, my daughter enjoyed her gluten free selection and dessert. We will definitely go again.

Had a good afternoon at the Bee, good service friendly polite staff and good quality food. Good portion size and served as I request my food cooked, bit of a wait for food but was well worth the wait. Will definitely be going back again and more regularly,

Delicious food and very nice atmosphere and very good service definitely be going again.and sorry for the small portion off food their was a lot more on their than that.I couldn't resist not taking a picture of something i released half way through I need to let the locals new how nice it was and also the staff.

Dave was under pressure but more than made up a very short wait by giving excellent service and food. All of the staff were very friendly.
