Y Gegin Fach

Honestly this hidden gem of cafe is just fantastic. The people there are so friendly, the food is outstandingly delicious, especially the Glamorgan sausages and all of the other breakfast items :). We both highly recommend a visit or two (or even more!) to this lovely cafe.

I recently stumbled upon "Y Gegin Fach" in Caernarfon, North Wales, thanks to the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. And let me tell you, this place did not disappoint!

Tucked away just off the main square, "Y Gegin Fach" greeted us with warmth and charm. The couple who owned the place were incredibly friendly, and their hospitality made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was exceptional, and nothing was too much trouble for them.

We decided to try their breakfast, and it was labeled as a "hearty Welsh breakfast." Well, let me tell you, it truly lived up to its name. The sausages were huge, thick, and plump, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The bacon was so thick that it could easily be mistaken for gammon, and each bite was a delight. The whole breakfast experience at "Y Gegin Fach" was simply amazing.

Starting our day in North Wales with such a fantastic breakfast was the perfect way to set the tone for our adventures. The quality of the food, combined with the exceptional service and friendly atmosphere, made our visit to "Y Gegin Fach" truly memorable.

I am delighted to have discovered this hidden gem of a place to eat, and I can confidently say that I will be returning without a doubt. Had breakfast there yesterday (20/3/24) and I must say it was fantastic. Very tasty and the sausages were to die for. Very highly recommend- staff very helpful - I will be returning

Great food at a lovely family restaurant. Everyone in there spoke welsh and seemed like they were locals so it seemed like the place to be! We enjoyed trying different food than what we typically eat in America, all very delicious. Make sure to grab a welsh cake or three!

This small cafe is just amazing. The waitresses are so friendly, the food is delicious, especially the breakfast. We Gas the hearty vegetarian and regular we recommend. The best way to start your day !

Found this little gem of a place. Went in for a coffee and decide to go back later for lunch, was advised by the very friendly staff to book a table. Glad we did! Food was fantastic good homemade food and big portions.

Fantastic place for a great value breakfast in Caernarfon! Found it by chance this weekend as it’s tucked away down a side street but really glad we did! Full breakfast with a tea or coffee for less than a fiver and the food is lovely. Very accommodating as one of our party required gluten free and they were happy to swap items to help. Dogs welcome.

We stumbled on this cafe while visiting the area and so glad we did. We were warmly welcomed and even advised which were the warmest places to sit as it was a bitterly cold day.
I had a hearty breakfast for which I couldn’t fault in any way. The ingredients were great and very well cooked. I can’t recommend this café highly enough.
