A lovely cozy venue. Quite pricey but worth a go. We didn't stay in the rooms but it's a nice place to visit for a drink. Parking was tricky.

The food was spectacular; the service impeccable. The creativity and execution of the dishes was stunning. Requiring gluten-free options usually results in a sub-standard and awkward experience, but not in this case - the entire menu was available, even very good GF bread! It may have taken us years to finally book a table and visit, but it was worth the wait. Eric, the chef and the rest of the team should be really proud!

We decided we couldn't resist the Special " Dinner & Room" offer.
We had wanted to book a table for dinner for a little while, but the wonderful Promotion on offer was too good to miss.
So, we booked a delightful overnight stay, which included a "Fine Dining" evening meal & full breakfast the next morning.
Our Hungarian host's were more than welcoming & really made our stay a memorable one.
Certainly worth a visit, even if only to sample the wonderful food.

Superb 7 course tasting menu, portion size was by far larger than many. Well complimented wine flight as accompaniment. Excellent service. Unfortunately toilets are not accessible. However, all in all, one of the best meals out in a long while.

Fantastic food. Delicious tasting menu. Michelin star prices but Michelin star quality food too. Only criticism would be just slightly bigger portions, I don’t think a crumb went back to the kitchen. Great service too.

Stayed overnight and had an evening meal. What a wonderful experience. The room was comfortable, clean, excellent range of toiletries. Comfortable bed, blackout blinds. Provided with a wide variety of tea and coffee.
The food was stunning, catered well for an allergy. Delicious, would highly recommend. Exemplary service.

We stayed for a night and had the 8 course tasting menu. The food is outstanding, with fresh, original dishes and the wine pairings were beautiful. They have obviously spent a lot of time putting together the menu and finding incredible wines to go with it. The rooms are beautiful too, with a really comfy bed. To top it off, all the staff were wonderful. A real treat that I would highly recommend.

We've stayed here a few times before but a first since new management. The rooms have definitely improved with little extra touches that make a difference. A welcome tray with fruit, almonds and homemade fudge was a pleasant and tasty surprise. As was the complimentary sherry and sherry glasses on the side. The rooms are comfortably decorated with a warm cozy feeling. The shared honesty larder was a great touch of convenience. Food from the restaurant is really good, especially if you like Spanish food. The tasting menu is an experience that reserves your table for a good two and a half hours and I highly recommend the wine pairings. The 'regular' menu is anything but. Breakfast was simply amazing. I would go back just to have the full Spanish breakfast (although I had trouble finishing it as I was so full). The hotel/restaurant is in a lovely location and a short train journey from the beautiful cathedral city of Canterbury. Wye itself is a divine little village where people take the time to say hello and good morning as you walk by. It also has some lovely country pubs to keep you hydrated as you walk around. In summary, lovely rooms, food and location. The staff are pretty awesome too! We'll be back!

Brilliant modern British take on Northern Spanish food. Every course and every dish was delightful and superbly cooked. I've been getting more and more into fish lately and this place really didn't disappoint, this time I had the hake which was cooked perfectly. Staff were lovely and very friendly/chatty.

For what it was I would say the prices were very reasonable at £45 for 3 courses and they don't automatically add service charge (happily paid it here though) , which I really hate in restaurants!

Will be visiting again soon!

Me, my brother and his girlfriend had a fantastic experience at the restaurant today. The food was great but the service was exceptional! We were supposed to take our elderly grandad for Sunday lunch, but unfortunately he’d had a fall so wasn’t up to dining out.

When we arrived we explained what had happened to the lovely waitress, and we asked if we’d also be able to purchase an extra meal to take back to him. She immediately went to ask the chef if this was possible as it’s not usually an option and they were extremely obliging and arranged this for us.

Our grandad is absolutely delighted with the meal and we are ever so grateful! We can not recommend the restaurant and staff enough.

Wonderful weekend at the Wife of Bath celebrating a birthday. The staff were attentive and kind. The food was sublime, and fantastic wine list. The rooms were beautiful, clean and warm. Highly recommend anyone to eat here and if you can, stay the night, the breakfast was delicious.

My wife and I go here about once a month. It never disappoints. The food is fabulous (I had the venison wellington yesterday and it was superb), they have a great selection of drinks including gins, and the staff are so warm and welcoming. Make sure to give them a visit and support once they reopen. You won't regret it!

Absolutely couldn't fault it. Great food. Good selection. Staff were extremely attentive. Butter was brought at room temperature so no fighting it to spread on butter and to top it off my wife can't eat dairy and they created a simple but lovely dessert for her instead of a dull fruit salad or sorbet! Wonderful place.

We had a brilliant meal as a family to celebrate my grandma’s 81st. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the whole place felt like a home from home. Overall we were really pleased.

Went for a light lunch with a friend. We both had a double baked cheese soufle with truffle which was marked as a starter. It was absolutely beautiful and very filling. Glass of wine each and a coffee. Sorted!
My husband and I often stay here and have an evening meal then breakfast which are both excellent.

Stayed overnight and had dinner. We stayed in the Squire room which was full of character and lovely to relax in for a couple of hours until dinner. The staff had written a personal birthday greeting for my wife which went down just as well as the cava I'd asked for in the room on arrival. Room was clean, well provided with towels, robes, a coffee machine and kettle (with all the stuff to make a variety). There isn't room service but an honesty bar with very reasonable prices for drinks. For dinner we had the tapas selection which had 4 beautiful dishes, all a surprise and not what you would get anywhere else. They were all beautiful. It was steak night when we visited and we took full advantage. I had sirloin, lovely and crisp on the outside but melted in the mouth which was a 'rare' delight. I probably didn't need dessert but had it anyway. After a restful sleep breakfast was served in the restaurant with a decent choice. The Catalan breakfast is worth travelling for alone. Set my up for the day. Would definitely do it all again. Staff were wonderful throughout

First class. We went with family and had the 8 course tasting menu. Food original, tasty and beautifully presented. Staff very pleasant and even kindly removed a rogue bee that had got into the room. Some nice touches in the room. Excellent (and enormous) breakfast with Spanish options. Will return!

Food: absolutely superb, and for the quality you're getting actually quite reasonably priced. The ox cheek starter was arguably one of the best dishes I've ever eaten. Couldn't fault it.
Rooms: we stayed in the cottage and it was pleasant, spacious, quiet, clean and extremely comfortable. Slept like the dead
Service: where do you start? Absolute angels. They bent over backwards to make us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and even hooned out on a bike at 10pm to pick up fresh batteries when the ones in the TV remote ran out. Would stay again in a heartbeat

Went to the Wife of Bath for lunch today, we hadn't booked and we're lucky to get a table. Had the set 2 course meal for £20 and it was so delicious, superb quality, ok the portions were smallish but exactly right for lunch. Lovely light, airy unassuming beautiful cottage restaurant with rooms above, highly recommended.
