Waterside Holiday Park

The bar at this holiday park is also open to non guests. It’s recently had a refit and it’s obvious that they have gone above and beyond with quality and it’s a great bit of architecture with relaxing music playing in the background. The outside area is huge with lots of seating with nice decor of plants around. Great view from the balcony overlooking the park too. The inside has nice low lighting and can cater for a lot of people dining. The price on the beer is also reasonable and won’t cost a lot. It’s really good for passing walkers using the coast path for a refreshing stop which is a plus.

The park is in a beautiful location, very clean very welcoming. We come every year the staff are brilliant. Our dog was unwell last year, when we went back this year Lizzie asked how our dog was , it was so heartwarming. Sarah is so helpful nothing is never to much. Chris the new park patrol warden is a credit to the site. I forgot some names but all the staff go above and beyond . It’s been a pleasure see you guys July! X

This campsite offers everything a family could want. If you drive you have around a 5 minute drive to shops and other facilities, by chance you don't t drive you have bus stops right outside the campsite which is about a 2-5 minutes, the buses can take you from Paignton to Brixham and Torquay with other buses available for other locations. The campsite itself was small and extremely clean making it a perfect getaway for a family who doesn't desire a large busy resort. The campsite has a indoor pool which is quite large and dining facilities with a bar and indoor and outdoor seating which is suitable for all types of weather. Now for the negatives, you have to pay for the WiFi and the signal on the campsite is poor which can be a pain but it wasn't a massive deal, and you had to book the pool, it's quite big but still not big enough to fit loads of people so I get the booking system but it still feels very restrictive. Apart from those issues this campsite is exceptional and I would highly recommend staying here.

We always come to Waterside two or three times a year. The staff are all so excellent. They really look after us. We always have a wonderful holiday. Thank you Lizzie,Sue and Sarah and everyone else for our lovely holiday. See you again in June. Hazel Smith

Caravan was gorgeous, lovely and cosy with the central heating on, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Staff on site were all friendly and helpful. Meals in the bar were nice although the menu was a bit limited. No direct access to the beach but site is central for many areas with lovely beaches.

This was the quieter of two sites I have visited in the last couple of weeks. I stayed here with my wife and disabled sister and our dog Chloe for 4 nights in July.
The van was clean and tidy and just across the road from reception and the indoor swimming pool. I do t think there was any evening entertainment but the cafe and bar was open each evening.
The swimming pool needs to be booked in advance and sessions were only 45 minutes. The pool is very smart and has a lifeguard. There is also a hot jacuzzi area which is lovely. The pool was quiet each time we visited and some sessions had nobody in at all. Everything is clean and well looked after and the lifeguard was friendly and helpful.
The biggest plus for me as a train enthusiast is the Dartvalley steam railway which could be seen from our caravan :)

Highly recommended as a quieter site with a lovely pool facility.

Such a brilliant holiday park for a few days away. It has a mini park for kids to enjoy, a swimming pool for the family to enjoy and also a hot tub area to relax! A amazing bar and the entertainment was good on the night however it's not every night and selected nights it's on. The shop wasn't that brilliant however it does sell the basics eg milk and bread. But overall id give it 8/10 stars

Lovely staff very friendly and helpful , the bit of entertainment that was on was brilliant but there was only entertainment on some of the time and not every night. Very quiet and cosy on the site but swimming passes are very expensive, but they are optional which is good!. Tiny shop in the reception area if you need essentials and it has direct access to beautiful coastal walks.

Lovely friendly pub, dog friendly. Massive menu, staff can’t do enough for you. Would defiantly recommend

Definitely one off the best sites in south Devon the caravan was one off the best I’ve stayed in, the staff make this park what it is sue ,liz reception always happy to help with anything we needed like always and Sarah in the bar always happy to help even if it not
Part of her job. Changed a hell off a lot in my opinion for the better even thou it’s not fully kid friendly anymore but we managed to adapt our 7 year old loved it mainly the pool most days.

Nice site, clean accommodation lots to see and do in the local area. Great base if you like walking coastal footpaths accessible from the park. Good central location for a family holiday

Great modern facilities. Well maintained park, recently refurbished, very modern accommodation nearly run all year round.

Stayed in privately owned lodge. Site was well maintained, restaurant/bar staff we came into contact with were pleasant and helpful. Meals were excellent.

Fantatic modern caravan and very clean.
The park could do with a bit of an update but its functional and has everything you need. The onsite cafe was ok, although a bit basic and only offers bottled drinks, no draft.
At the time of our stay the outdoor swimming pool wasnt open due to the site not having a life guard but this didnt affect us as we didnt plan on using it but others were not too pleased.
Overall we had a lovely stay and would not hesitate to book here again.

Fantastic place to visit. Sarah behind the bar is a great host, very helpful and made our stay enjoyable! Even got to catch a glimpse of the steam train

I can not recommend Michael & Harvey's caravan any higher. A beautifully immaculate home with a large decked patio in a fantastic location situated just a few short steps away from the main venue and within view of the iconic stream train which runs a regular service across the front of the park. Communication with the owners has been excellent from time of booking right through to the very end, they have been prompt and precise in every effort. We as a family are more than happy to provide a 5*. Thankyou.

Lovely views walking distance to beautiful beaches If you don't need night partys it's just right place for relax. I recommend it.
