Pontllanfraith Leisure Centre

Went here for my Covid booster vaccine. Very well run. Easily accessible by public transport. Can catch a number of buses from Blackwood bus interchange including the 151 which stop just outside the old council offices then it a short walk up the hill and the leisure centre is on the first right. The site is run down as it the old iswlyn high school but can't let that rule the positives of the main reason of the visit here today.

Just had my booster here, very well organised, Shame the nurses wasn't up for a game of 5 aside on the 4g pitch but in all fairness the weather was awful.

Good pitch in a great environment.
It was all fun. Adequate parking area and quite easy to locate.

Can't speak for the leisure side but went for my covid boaster.

Well organised and well run. In and out in 20 mins and that's including the 15 mind you have to wait after the jab

As a member of a football team who trains here in the winter months - something like this should NOT be demolished. Especially with the 250 new houses being built right at the bottom of the hill.

Loved this place in the 1970s and 80s, when I was a kid, then teenager and we would play five a side there.
Then later as an adult I would play squash there, it was a great place when the bar was still open.

Its small, but nice, and the vaccine setup is really slick

The visit was to take my mother gor her 5th covid injection. This was the best service in 3 visits.

Wow amazing experience I had when I went to have my covid 3rd injection from the time I drove into the car park the parking staff were amazing to the staff inside the Leisure centre everything was run so professionally thanks everyone

Went for covid booster .NHS staff were so friendly and helpful. Got thru smoothly ,no hassles.

Great leisure centre, brilliant pitch. Just what the community needs.
Council SHOULD NOT demolish for sure!

Great place, kids football, donate blood, get vaccinated, all under one roof 😅

Mass vaccination Centre now. Staff inside are amazing and friendly. Sad that's its no longer going to be a leisure centre though.
