UPDATE: Took my dad for lunch at the cafe and we had a good meal. He loved the pie and I had a pizzette which was lovely. Everything clean. Friendly service with no wait.

Supermarket in General: Good layout, plenty of choice and a good selection of veggie, vegan, free range and organic choices. Loose fruit and vegetables available if you're trying to shop plastic-free. Staff helpful and happy to help you find something in particular when needed.

Cafe is one of the best I have seen in a supper store, a lovely little book swap. Clean interior and the package less goods area was superb. Had a lovely pleasant conversation with a lady on checkouts.

Top quality products - but remember the price will reflect that feature of shopping at Waitrose Cheltenham. Large enough to get their full range of products. Excellent parking, dry underground if you want it. The Cafe/Restaurant is a final stop after a long shop and if it's close to lunchtime you get a fair selection of hot food.

A great place for shopping. I would like to compliment the nice service of print photos that Waitrose has in store.
The lady who was there was helpful and very polite with us. Recommended service.

Great supermarket, some say is quite expensive, but with the essential range the prices are reasonable. Very good quality of food all round and staff always very helpful. Plus you get a free coffee everytime you shop and extra discounts if you sign up for a my waitrose card. Good disabled parking and also Thomas Cook on site plus dry cleaners and a pharmacy.

Somehow Waitrose staff always manage to make my visit pleasant, and I've been to stores around the country. They must occasionally wake up feeling under the weather, short of sleep or hung over, like the rest of us, but never bring a trace of irritable reaction to work.

Waitrose must be a good company to make the experience that consistent, but here are a few reasons I feel the Cheltenham branch is even better:
The unpackaged department has a broad range of plastic-free foods at really reasonable prices, not just quinoa and dried fruit, but even coffee beans and frozen fruit. You can bring your own containers or use paper bags to pack it up. Oh, and also refillable wines and beers on tap.

The Waite and Rose cafe has plenty of seats, with an attractive patio area outside, and herbs in planter boxes. Some of the dishes can be small for the price, but there is a variety on the menu.
Outside the store is a nice coffee truck (see photos) and they offer reusable cups for only 25p.

It's also roomier throughout than some other stores, and although it is possible to spend over £10 on some fancy Modena balsamic vinegar, you needn't spend more than anywhere else on key food items, in my experience. We always buy eggs here, feeling more confident in Waitrose's ethical standards in their supply chain than other companies.
Well worth a visit or to try out if you usually shop elsewhere.

Amazing, spacious shop, first time there, but mom goes all the time. Fish counter to die for. Shame it's so far from my home, but will make an effort.

Love this store, easy to park, very good quality of fresh fish, meat and breads, everything of quality so not cheap but worth it.
I Went again yesterday to stock up on a few things and bought freshly baked olive and chiabatta rolls which I have for lunch daily, so I freeze them and when defrosted it is still fresh like when bought.
Popped in just for coffee and cake today, nice selection of cakes would recommend.

Popped in Fri15th Dec. I was a bit disappointed as most of waitrose own brand of kitchen and laundry products which are normally cheaper to buy were noticeably absent from the shelves, so I went home without, now have to go to Savers tomorrow to get cheaper products.

This a review of the cookery school which is in-store.
The Chef/Tutor was absolutely brill, Andy If I remember correctly. I was treating my two boys (11 and 12) to the teen cooking course as a Christmas present. The age limit was 13-18 but my boys are quite mature for their age and worked well together. There is space for 6 people cooking so the ratio for support is spot on, although the KP wasn't very helpful when asked questions by the children, it is relatively new so maybe the KP will be a bit more supportive in the future.
I was allowed to sit in and watch and had a few tastes. They cooked Thai food with Laab Gai to start and Laotian Prawn & Mango Curry.
The other parents didn't stay and missed out on the starter.
The main course was optional to eat there and then, or take home in a foil dish.
We were there for just under three hours, so pretty much near minimum wage value wise.
All of the ingredients came from the shop and were quite exotic and I couldn't find them in my local Aldi or Morrisons and I can't afford to pay Waitrose prices

Great Waitrose, all products one could need for daily life and some luxury items for making life more pleasant. The only slight issue I had today was when I wanted to purchase double edge razor blades. All premium type blades were locked on their shelf locations, and there was no signage to suggest how to purchase these items. There was a sign that said this area was monitored by cameras, but no team members came along to offer assistance. The obvious step would be to find a member of staff but there were none nearby. I don't see this as a big problem, but it it is an issue that could be solved with signage, although if that involves needing to go to customer services, that might be a bit inconvenient, taking one a lot longer to shop than it otherwise would have done. It is really sad in this day and age that all bladed items have to be monitored so closely simply because there are some people who would misuse them.
To end my review on a really positive note, you can buy a good variety of loose goods if you have your own container.
