The Bee Cottage Rutland

Stayed at this cottage for the long weekend with the wife and we were extremely happy with the stay. Lovely, clean place with a fireplace to match the cosy feel. Owner was friendly and catered to all our needs. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye and would recommend for long stays. Will book again :)

Beautiful thatched cottage with an amazing interior. There were some lovely welcome touches on arrival. Outdoor area was especially pleasant and Cottesmore is a wonderful area to explore. The dog particularly loved having the wood burner and so many country walks. Many thanks Steve and Hanri we hope to be back again soon!

I had a “wow” moment on entering Bee Cottage - I can be a bit (see: very) fussy with the places I stay so it’s not often I feel so happy and contented as I did while staying in this beautiful cottage. The cottage has great vibes; calming, relaxing, positive - is in a stunning area and in itself is just very special. I will definitely be staying again when I’m next in Rutland. Hosts are simply lovely people who could not have made me feel more welcome. Perfection.

We love the Bee Cottage!

This was our second visit to the Bee Cottage and I cannot fault anything about the place. Last year we visited on what should have been our wedding trip but due to COVID we had postponed but definitely needed a holiday anyway. This year we managed to finally get married.
Steve and Hanri have a wonderful place that is comfortable, homely and the perfect quiet location we needed. Myself and my husband spent our wedding week here, and it was amazing to have such a wonderful place to get ready for our big day. Bella (our dog) also loves it and makes herself at home in the cosy dog bed which she loves more than her own dog bed!!!
We felt so relaxed here and can't wait to visit again in the future to remember a very special time.

Lovely quaint cottage with fantastic attention to detail.. Very cozy and well equipped.
If you are tall the lower ceilings and beams need to be considered. Also the little garden is lovely to sit out in but if you have a dog who is a princess they may struggle to 'go' without there being any grass - however it is a very small walk up the lane to a grass patch so not too much bother.
Overall a nice property in a great location to visit local attractions with such lovely owners.

Gorgeous cottage. Immaculate and all the modern comforts in a beautifully renovated thatched cottage. Location is great for visiting Rutland and it's gorgeous villages and towns. Lovely to be able to bring the dog to such a lovely area. Everywhere was very dog friendly. The cottage owners left a wealth of useful info about the area which was very helpful. We hope to return.

Absolutely beautiful cottage that's very well taken care of. The owners go the extra mile in making your stay personalised, welcoming and comfortable. Excellent facilities and personal touches. Location is fab, close link to Oakham, Rutland water and a pub about 30 seconds away that does really great food. Very pet friendly!

Beautifully presented thatched dog friendly cottage, furnished to a high standard with everything you would need for a wonderful stay. Located down a lovely country lane in the beautiful village of Cottesmore, all around this area is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended, would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you.

A truly incredible cottage. From the minute you arrive at this chocolate box cottage and start to explore its rooms and garden you will be blown away. Steve and Hanri have done a fantastic job of retaining the original features of this cottage whilst adding a modern twist that provides all the features we come to expect today. The welcome gifts and help during booking and arrival make you feel very special. Our second visit for us to this stunning, comfy and spotless beauty. What an amazing, relaxing place! We were looked after so well and we cannot wait to get back. The beautiful fireplace was the highlight for my 10y old son :).

Beautiful place to go on holiday. Good pricing and lovely welcoming by a friendly host. Lovely area to live. Would recommend Hambleton Bakery which is just down the road. Overall it is amazing.
