Y Talbot Tregaron

We had a wonderful lunch at Y Talbot. Both my lamb and my husband’s steak main were excellent - beautifully tender meat. Everything aromatic, delicious and well-balanced. Portion sizes were just right, which left room for some heavenly dessert. The service was excellent - friendly and available at just the right moments. If we weren’t just here on holiday from Suffolk, we’d be back in a heartbeat!

Absolutely fantastic hotel,brilliant room everything you need. Food was second to none, best food I've had in a long long time in a pub. Very fast service, brilliant staff,all really friendly and a great atmosphere and the Staff couldn't do enough to look after the guests. Breakfast next morning was the same as the food the night before, amazing great selection for a continental breakfast and menu was brilliant for a cooked breakfast. Fully recommended place to stay.

We had dinner there and also attended a wedding there. The restaurant food was excellent, as was the wedding catering. We did not stay at the hotel overnight.

What an amazing place!!! location, food and staff were all fantastic, we couldn't have asked for any more. Stu at the bar was orsm, we are now brothers from another mother🍻😊

Very quiet place, very good personnel and service.
While we had one of the rooms above the kitchen we didn't suffer from any noise or smell from it
Diner was good, so was breakfast. Good price/quality ratio, thumbs up!

I've stayed here a couple of times previously, accommodation, food and staff always excellent.
I was due to meet a group of friends and stay this evening but had to cancel due to illness, when I called to pay I was told it wasn't necessary which is incredibly kind given the late notice.
A wonderful place run by wonderful people. I love visiting this part of Wales and will stay here whenever I do. First class :)

We were on a touring holiday last weekend - had left our campsite in search for a breakfast on a rainy Sunday morning and we found this GEM of a place. So friendly, welcoming and the best bacon sandwich we could have wished for! Thank you so much! We must return - for longer next time - and for a bed!

(Nov 2022) It was so lovely to return. Warm welcome. Very friendly staff. Good beers and steak and chips was fantastic. Asked for rare and it can back perfectly cooked. I even stayed in the same room (single bed) as last time.

(March 2020) This was the last place I stayed before the pandemic. Lovely place.

Came for Sunday lunch, was very impressed. Dietary requirements were met without a murmur, the music was pleasant and at a good volume, the service was prompt and friendly despite the place being fully booked. And the food was excellent.

Very friendly staff, suberb food and local ales.
Have been twice for the fish and chips. Can highly recommend. Really tasty fresh fish

Stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful time.
Felt very covid safe. Tables sanitized after each use, social distance of tables, staff wearing masks etc.
Our room was very comfortable with a beautiful modern bathroom.
Food was excellent on all 3 nights.
Well presented and prepared.
Breakfast was first class.
Can't wait to return again soon.

Staying at a farm house just up the road from the hotel, 5 of us went for a evening meal last night and it was absolutely delicious 😋 our complements to the chief, outstanding.

Stayed for one night and wish I could have stayed longer. Such a lovely hotel, a warm welcome and friendly efficient staff.

Hotel room was perfect it felt fresh and modern without feeling stark and clinical as can be the case with some modern refurbs.

I the evening meal was superb, I can highly recommend the lamb main course (the chef makes a lamb neck croquette... I could have eaten a plate of them. Order time was second to none, I felt like I had barely finished my sentence and the food was coming out.

The same at breakfast lovely meal and not over facing very fast from order to it landing on the table.

All in all I couldn't recommend this place highly enough!

Lovely, smart appearance and location. Warm welcome from friendly staff. Great selection of drinks and guest ales available. Had a fantastic steak cooked perfectly, whilst my wife had a perfectly cooked lamb dish. Both tasted wonderful. Would recommend to anyone.

Lovely hotel, visited as part of a group of motorcyclists. The rooms are very comfortable with fantastic showers, currently operating under covid restrictions but this hasn't effected the quality of service and really lovely food in the restaurant. Owners and staff are friendly and welcoming and they even have a drying room if your bike kit gets soaked - which it did! Highly recommended.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was simply gorgeous. This isn’t a stack it high and sell it cheap pub/restaurant; the food is high quality and tasted exquisite; it is fairly priced for the quality.

Situated on the town square, with free parking available. A lovely old coaching Inn with many traditional features. There is a modern kitchen and dining room to compliment the olde worlde bars. Very good food and drink available. An excellent breakfast.
Well priced and comfortable rooms. Well worth a visit be it long or short . Lovely staff.

Beautiful place and very nicely decorated. Came to see the Mother Goose carol singers, brilliant indeed and such friendly locals. Had bowl of cawl which had lovely chunks of lamb, cheese could have been bigger and the bread but very tasty. Staff very friendly. Was very busy, had great atmosphere. Would 100% come back for meal or just to chill out.
