The Joke Shop Fancy Dress

The shop was not open when we attended, but the exterior was lively and lovely. The clown, however, was slightly scary-looking.

We attended this place recently, namely over the Bank Holiday weekend. The owner was very pleasant and there were many unique things to see.

Rented a very good Georgian outfit from The Joke Shop. Tried on a few items from an amazing and very extensive collection before finding the right outfit. Very reasonably priced, and will definitely come again in the future

Good old joke shop. Plenty of the old school pranks, great selection of fancy dress and more hats than you can shake a magic wand at.

Fantastic shop run by a fantastic couple. Great stock and very reasonably priced. We took over an hour looking round and trying stuff on - nothing was too much trouble for the lovely owners. Heartily recommended.

Fantastic Fancy Dress Hire! We have used the Joke Shop twice now for hire, and the service is amazing! The variety of costumes is exceptional, and always come out with what we need. Staff are friendly, fun and knowledgeable. Costumes are well looked after. Price is very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Love this place. The owners are sooo nice and helpful. They have a really good selection of costumes, masks and all the bits needed for accessories. Great face paint selection from Snazaroo, wigs, hair glitter and colour sprays.

Not been hear, since the children were small, and it was like going down memory lane again. Got my costume for Halloween 🎃 and tried it on, and fit's like a glove, service and assistance was first class as it always has been.

I went in this week looking for a mediaeval costume, the man in the shop was most helpful a great range of costumes. I have to say I have never felt so comfortable an welcomed as a plus size I dread the whole "it's not going to fit you" comments, however the man let me browse at my own leisure and said you know what you need help yourself try them on and if there's not anything for me in the section I was looking he had some other ideas, I have to say he was brilliant at making me feel comfortable. Top guy excellent costume choices! Highly recommended!

I took my two Grandsons in this afternoon, and they loved it. Lots of tricks to play on Mum and Dad. They loved the door handles!

This shop has been there since I was a child growing up in North camp. Visited again recently and still as friendly as always. Good products.
