I have stayed in this lovely hotel on a number of occasions.
It is a revelation to find a hotel of this superb quality in a small Welsh town.
The staff are friendly, efficient and the food is excellent.
The pool and Spa facility are as good as in hotels that charge far more than the very reasonable room rates that are the norm here .
So well done John and the team at the Burton Hotel

We came here for a relaxing mini break before the busy-ness of the Christmas period and we had the most relaxing time! The spa was divine and they are very generous with how much you are able to use the spa for an overnight stay. We planned to go and visit Hereford but ended up staying and using the spa instead because we enjoyed it so much. The gym has limited equipment but enough for you to get in a good workout. I wanted to book in a massage treatment too but unfortunately I left it too late that Gemma was fully booked so I recommend booking in early! The food was delicious, well priced and the menu had a good variety of dishes. The staff were all super friendly and made us both feel very valued staying there. Overall it was a brilliant stay and there was a lovely atmosphere in the hotel. Thank you.

Drove three hours to meet up with family who live locally for Sunday lunch. Service was excellent with very attentive staff. Food was fantastic and one of the best Sunday roasts I have had in a long while. I'd certainly visit more frequently if we lived closer. Thank you to all and we will return.

family swim time fabulous all round. The changing room floors felt a bit slippy to this old lady, take care and enjoy.

Been coming here for years. It may not be luxury, but it is clean, inviting and friendly. The owner and staff are all brilliant. Food is fantastic, in fact a real feature of the place. Great gym and value all round. Highly recommended.

Had a great weekend break in this hotel. Loved the location, bed comfortable, rooms spacious. Big well done to Phllippinian chef. Food taste so good (which I must say is very rare in hotels around), but mostly I want to say big thank you and well done to an amazing, caring staff, especially David! My husband said he wish he had staff like this. Extremely good and professional. (David we wish you all the best!) We felt very welcomed and looked after.

Few things I would advise to improve. Breakfast itself (found it quite poor), and sauna and steam room heat. Felt quite cold, not strong enough.

Overall great hotel, would definitely come back again.

Wonderful family run hotel in the middle of the Welsh Borders... Clean, tidy, friendly staff, ample parking, great breakfast. Accommodation is in the old building or a new block. The new block is very quiet, the main block perhaps not so much as the bar is popular with the locals.

What can I say about The Burton? I stay here frequently, the food is amazing, rooms are cosy and a nice selection of wines. Staff are amazing. The spa facilities are lovely, and as for Gemma, the wonderful ‘miracle worker’ She has realigned my spine, opened my pelvis helped my stance, balance and posture not to mention relieved my pain. Never had a sports therapy massage like hers and they differ every time depending upon my bodies requirement. Cannot recommend enough. If your a local - give her a try!!!

Excellent food, good beer, friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere, reasonable prices, couldn't ask for more.

We haven't stopped in the hotel, but regularly go for Sunday lunch or the odd meal in the week and I can honestly say, we have never had a bad meal.

The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is always welcoming.

If I had to change one thing, it would be the hotel could be in Pembridge, then I could walk there. But seriously, if you are looking for good food and drink, I have no hesitation is recommending The Burton Hotel.

Great hotel! We stayed here whilst walking the Offa's Dyke path. A perfect place to stay, run by a very friendly and considerate team. The spa was very welcome and the food excellent. They made us packed lunches for the next stage of our trip, and are clearly used to hosting walkers. Highly recommended!

We used this hotel as a base for doing some work nearby and it was excellent. Comfy, clean rooms, helpful staff and the location was perfect for us. I can only attest for the vegan options on the menu (which were fine) but apparently the non-vegan options are exceptional.

A friendly helpful hotel, bedroom had adequate drawers and wardrobe, TV and standard double bed, generous bathroom with shower over bath. We stayed in standard room, radiators kept room very warm for our January stay. John the owner very hospitable and accommodating, breakfasts freshly cooked to order, we ate evening meals in hotel also excellent. All staff were efficient and friendly especially Kat running breakfast service and behind the bar 👍 thanks for making my birthday special.

This is a really nice place to come for a quiet drink and a chat. It's most definitely a hotel bar and not a pub, but it's none the worse for that, it's just different. The staff are always friendly and efficient and they always have a good selection of real ale on too. We tend to come here when we just want to chill out and have a couple of beers in a nice, relaxed atmosphere and just chat amongst ourselves and put the world to rights!

I can't comment on the accommodation side of it as we've only ever used the bar, but for a nice, relaxing drink, it's just a nice place to go. Comfy, warm, and good beer. What's not to like?

Very welcoming with nice selection of good quality food. Some modern rooms and a lovely spa. I stayed there as part of a golf society visit to Kingston GG. The hotel helped organise a package deal and it was great.

Lovely bright and spacious room, exceptionally clean, loads of hot water, powerful shower, beds very comfy. Pool and spa is the best we have visited in a long time. The steam room was properly hot. We did one of the walks around Kington which was great. Breakfast was was lovely and all the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.
