I had been looking for a brass bed for my cottage without success..they seemed hard to come by. I was referred to Sowerbutts by a contractor and could not be happier with the service I received. Elizabeth researched various manufacturers and found me a choice of 3 beds, one of which was exactly what I was looking for and well within budget.
The team who delivered and installed the bed went way above and beyond, removing the existing divan and (very heavy) headboard and taking it down to the back alley for storage. They also most kindly swapped out the mattresses for me which meant tricky manoeuvres up and down a narrow stairwell. They were very professional and good natured.
I cannot recommend Sowerbutts highly enough, they provide exceptional service and really make you feel like a valued customer.

There are many large retailers that I could have chosen for my purchase but I chose to support our local shops and visited a local long established comapny Sowerbutts in Clitheroe. I ordered my beds just before lockdown, they kept in touch regularly as, for obvious reasons they could not obtain the beds from the manufacturers. The beds were delivered today, Ian and his colleague arrived in full protective clothing with masks and gloves that they sanitised frequently. I could not have asked for better service, they were superb. They bagged my old bed as my daughter is having it and checked everything was as I wanted it. I cannot recommend them highly enough and the price was just as competitive as the large retail chains.

I bought a manual recliner two seater sofa & single chair from Sowerbutts of Clitheroe in 2019 I had professional friendly advice & service & have been very satisfied with our purchase. Unfortunately 3 years on through wear & tear both leavers on the sofa have gone. I rang Sowerbutts to see if they can be repaired......I am extremely impressed with the after service I was told yes & they could give me a detailed account of when I made the purchase & my address etc WOW I've been given an estimated cost of repair & it's very reasonable.
Fantastic friendly service from beginning to now & on.
You wouldn't get this kind of service in a big department store!

We’ve bought a few pieces of furniture from Sowerbutts and have always found the staff to be polite, helpful and knowledgeable with lots of choice of good quality furniture and beds. We are delighted with our latest purchase which was delivered with care. Nothing is too much trouble for this local family business which we are more than happy to support.

We chose a local family firm instead of a multi national and were not disappointed. Nothing was too much trouble as Ian Sowerbutts showed us various beds before we purchased. I was so impressed we finished up buying a chair as well! The delivery team arrived with full PPE removing the old bed and installing new. They were a credit to the Company and confirmed our choice of buying locally.

Check this shop out first before you try any big chainstores!! Fantastic family run business. We get all our furniture from here. The customer care is amazing. Extremely helpful and will match prices found elsewhere. They don't sell rubbish so you know you are investing in a piece of furniture that looks great but more importantly will last. They even make adjustments to furniture if they can. ForinstanceThey put a hole in the back of one unit so wires could be placed through. And although it took them longer they were more than happy to help.
We have also bought a setee from here and it was an Alston. It was cheaper here than anywhere in the country! And it looks amazing still 7 or 8 years later which is amazing as we have 2 children dogs and cats and it doesn't look any older than the day we bought it!
These local businesses like this deserve our support as they go the extra mile. It would be terrible if we just had large chain stores who really aren't that bothered about aftercare and are just interested in a hard sell. You wont get that here just friendly good advice if required and its upto you take it or leave it, no pressure sales here! You can buy genuinely good quality beds mattreses and furniture such tables chairs cabinets and settees. They will even let you pay in instalments on expensive itiems if you enquire.
Lovely that they have a mix of traditional furniture and contemporary.

Sowerbutts ordered me a glass dining table into their store as there was none in stock. I was kept fully updated when the table would be in. I bought the table & arranged delivery. The table was delivered, assembled & they even took my old table to the charity shop! Fantastic, curteous & professional service.

We took delivery of new furniture a few days ago. It was delivered well before the date we expected and promptly on the day.( We are nearly 50 miles from Clitheroe). We were very pleased with the 3 Piece Suite,tables and bedroom furniture we had ordered.
Our new furniture was installed and some old furniture removed most efficiently. We were very impressed by the professionalism of the deliverymen.
The whole 'Sowerbutts' experience,from chatting to Roberto in the showroom to seeing the delivery van drive away was very much to our satisfaction.

Last Friday we called into the shop tolook at a suite we had seen in the window
We didn’t realise at the time it was the last day of the sale so when we bought the
Suite we were delighted to have got such a bargain
The suite was delivered yesterday very quickly and efficiently the old suite was
Removed and the new one put in place the staff were so friendly and helpful and
Left us with hints and tips to keep the suite looking its best
This service was far more than we were expecting
