Popped in today to get help with a problem i'm having for the first time. As always, helpful to me and was good to get a group discussion as to what the best course of action is going forward. Definitely my first place to go to for fish and advise! Thank you both today!!!

This place specialises in smaller freshwater fish. However, it does have a good range of African Cichlids as well as some Marine fish.

The shops main floor has a wide selection of aquariums if your in the market for a new tank, and they have a handy information marker displaying the daily cost of running a tank of that specific size. There is also a range of maintained items and aquarium decor.

This shop also has a vast amount of cold water outdoor fish, including a large Koi Pond at the back. There are also Sturgeon available, as well as younger Koi.
The freshwater, marine and Cichlid fish are all located in a tunnel on the right hand side of the shop. This can get busy and bottlenecked at some points of the day, but usually quietens down after 10 minutes.

The staff are all really knowledgeable about the fish and plants they sell, and are more than happy to help. The pricing is also fair for fish and most products. Most importantly, they are very dog friendly!

Overall, it is definitely worth a browse if you're in the garden centre for any level of fish keeping.

We bought some fish for my childrens aquarium and I must say, Charlie was very knowledgeable and gave us some great advice regarding our set up. He created a great experience for my daughters of choosing fish - They really enjoyed it! He even provided some great advice regarding the correct type of plants to use in our type of aquarium.

Thanks Charlie!

Good selection of fish and knowledgeable staff. Could do with more variety when it comes to aquarium plants but there were a handful there.

Having previously left a negative review for this store, I have since had the need to visit again on a couple of occasions. The service, advice and time given to us has been fantastic and I thoroughly recommend them.
I can only imagine that the previous experience I had was a one off and have therefore removed all previous negative comments.
Thank you so much for all your help and guidance.

The shop has everything you need regards to set-up and accessories. The staff are also knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about fish.
What I'm not keen on is the layout of the tanks and the under counter fish displays. Appreciate that this is a smaller shop when compared to other MA stores, but the livestock area feels very gloomy and you could do without being bumped around when it is busy, but it is unavoidable in that area as it is so narrow.
They are missing a trick with those displays under the main livestock tanks. They are in complete darkness and could do with being revamped to showcase the fish better.
The livestock choice is just about OK for hobby aquarist and pretty decent for marine as well. There's not much in the way of American cichlids (although there are a couple) and a small amount of Africans.
Fish looked reasonably healthy on my visit.

Edit: Updated to 5 stars! The stocking and displays have come on massively these past few months. It's overtaken Atherstone as my local goto fish place. Really helpful and approachable people that work there as well.

Bought my tank from here as the said they will match the price, spoken to Lewis who was very knowledgeable and gave me advice from his own experience.

The store can get very busy and the staff are generally over worked but you would never get that impression when you talk to them. I would recommend this place to friends.

One of the best places to go never had any issues with the fish I've had from here, staff are always helpful and know what they are actually on about. The shop is always full of a good selection of ornaments/rocks/wood ect. Would love to see more variety of live plants in store though.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff who have served us well for the past 4 years. Fish very good stock. We used to get our fish from another local aquatic centre but after an excessive amount of fatalities switched to Maidenhead and happy to say we've not looked back. Purchase our water from here every 6weeks or so and really pleased. Staff happy to look at water and sick fish and help with suggestions, often saving us money as we may have bought a generic treatment that we didn't need. Keep up the good work guys and thank you.

I love their selection of livestock and the staff are very knowledgable! My only wish is that they had a wider selection of aquatic moss. Definatly more than happy to have this store as my closest aquatics dealer!

Spent nearly an hour talking with very knowlegable staff yesterday with my father. The young gentleman was very patient as we asked several questions and did not try to rush us even though the store was busy. Great service Thanks

Only a small store however they have an abundance of both freshwater and saltwater fish, along with tanks and everything else you could need, I've recently decided to give saltwater a go after keeping tropical fish for some time and they spoke me through the whole process.
Only problem is I find myself there far to often, I will be back soon to begin stocking my new tank
Thanks
