Went here with my little boy. Very reasonably priced to get into. The railway is amazing takes you a long route around the site (around a 20min journey) and for a very good price. I paid £7.50 for 3 rides on the train and my little one loves all things trains. The trains themselves very nice. Proper miniature steam trains. Staff was very friendly and welcoming would defiently reccomend going if you are interested in trains. Only small issue I have is they only open the miniature railway a couple of times a year which Is a shame.

Great mini railway run by volunteers open only a couple of times a year Inc August bank holiday weekend with vintage vehicles and traction engines( £3 for 2 mile+ ride on a miniature steam train (train every 15 mins approx) is great value!) Well worth a visit ,well done FSMR

Took the kids to the open day which we didn't think would still be on due to the heavy rain that weekend. So it was lovely to see that regardless of the weather they were still up and running. Didn't charge for any steam rides all day as a thank you for still coming they even dried the seat for you when it pulled into the station out of the rain. Delightful little railway great for young children well worth an afternoon of your time.

Only open twice a year and well worth the visit! From the miniature railway, to static engine displays, to traction engines, to an amazing beer tent with 4 real ciders to choose from - brilliant day out!

The Avengers , 1965. Season 4 episode 2.
How John Steed and Mrs. Emma Peel have hot and steaming moments on the SMR ...
In black & white still , but Top-television from the '60's !
( The most exciting part of their 'journey" has vintage piano-music . If I am right, this was from "The General". The name of the train starring in Buster Keaton's movie by that name )

If anything sums up Great Britain it is this place. A wonderful family day out riding the trains and connecting with Britain's engineering past. Great, helpful staff who volunteer to keep it going. On a sunny day there is nothing better.

This place that I am about to review is really nice to visit with your family and it is Staple
ford Miniature and it is located in
Nottinghamshire . The entrance fee is a little less than eight pounds and in my opinion it’s worth it to opened it,because the fun will not be lacking and it will be the joy of our little ones... even the wagons ,you can ride and take a beautiful ride in the park... These are vintage railways trains in miniature and can be considered a gem for lovers of model railway;too bd this attraction is only open two weekends a year. I advise you to go and see it;when it’s in the opening period.

Best time to spend your bank holiday weekend. Not much shade about so make sure you bring a tent.....lots of food to buy plus bring your own fridge if you like.
