Valley Vets, Ystrad Mynach

Excellent vets. Wonderful reception staff and nurses. Very caring and helpful and supportive. Very caring from initial phone call through the whole process of getting animals better.

The guys at Ystrad Mynach have been a huge help and we really can't thank them enough, everyone from the front desk to vets in the back were personable and professional, caring to the point we felt our dog was always in safe hands. Thank you so much to everyone there

Absolutely amazing 😊 the emergency 24hr vet service saved my now 7 month old doberman puppy. Staff were so supportive and explained to me every step of the way what was going on. If distance wasn't an issue I would have considered making these my main vets. Thank you guys. Miss Davies and Yogi ❤

My pet had to have his
Annual boosters and whilst there, many dogs were getting distressed and the staff were brilliant and immediately intervened to help them.
When I saw the vet he was great with my cat and also cut his claws which is quite are an ordeal in itself, and managed it perfectly. All the staff are very helpful and always empathetic.

Visited on a Sunday out of hours . I couldn't of asked for anything better. They were extremely caring people who did there up most best to save our pet rabbit . Cinnabun. Still miss him everyday . He even turned his back on the vet . Bunny with a attitude . Thank you animal hospital .

My dog loves them and they have always been great with him - lots of digestive problems caused by scavenging. Doggy ICU in 24 hour emergency undoubtedly saved his life, and despite a scary stay there for him, he was still not afraid to go back in for follow up! I am very happy with them.

Fantastic vet practice. I have never found a more friendly, helpful and caring practice. I have been registered with many practices over the years and I will never move from this one now. The vets, nurses and reception staff are so kind and compassionate. Your pet is known by name and making appointments is easy and efficient. I recommend them to all my family and friends.

Staff were fab, very friendly and helpful. Vet was amazing. She made both us and our dog very welcome. She was amazing with our dog, coming out into the waiting room to meet her and calm her down. She took the time to explain everything and gave constant reassurance. She is obviously very passionate about her role and nothing was too much trouble. Best vetinary surgery around. Would highly recommend. Thank you all.

VV Ystrad Mynach are outstanding. If you’re lucky enough to get an appointment with Ana, your pet is in the best possible hands. Never known a vet so enthusiastic, happy, understanding and an all-round great vet. I feel comfortable enough to approach Ana with the smallest of problems that worry me, as the owner. She’s an absolute credit to this industry. Not to forget the friendly, caring nurses and Reception staff that have always made a fuss of Bud, Izzy & Lola; which made them feel comfortable. And also the nurses who assisted Ana in the operation of my two girls. It couldn’t have been done without a team effort. Thank you all, for everything xx

Have used Valley Vets for several years now. The staff are lush and always friendly and helpful and I always feel listened to. I also appreciate that this surgery have access to the extensive facilities in Gwaelod Y Garth if anything more comprehensive needs doing. Have no complaints at all.

Had to make a very hard decision to say goodbye to my best friend Alfie , the staff were very sympathetic and understanding and let me spend as much time as I wanted with him before he passed.... ☹☹

Valley vets are the best vets by far, the staff are great and Anna the vet is one of the best vets I've seen over the years , I will not go anywhere else

I was concerned about my tortoiseshell cat Peggy and rang the vets and was offered an appointment very quickly.

The staff were excellent and dealt with Peggy in a lovely calming way . The vet named Maggie, checkied her and told me exactly what she was checking etc.

As promised she rang me two days later with her results.

I have used Valley Vets since 2020. Travel a bit of a distance to get there, but I know my girls will be looked after. My little.cocker Willow had surgery this week. The after care provided by the nurse was exceptional I would highly recommend

Really lovely staff. Vets explain things clearly and are happy to answer any questions. My dog is not at all worried about going in.

Very easy to get an appointment. Very friendly welcome on arrival and seen very promptly. Zero judgement on my dogs ailment (her teeth weren’t in the best condition)Made me feel very welcome and listened to. I love this vets and won’t go anywhere else. The whole team are fantastic.

Valley vets have a personal touch when dealing with my pets. My older cat didn't like the noise of the reception area and do until her appointment they would put her in a quiet area for her to stay calm and less stressed. Even at the difficult time of putting her to sleep they came to my house and spent time with us both to make sure that the situation wasn't rushed and we remained calm at an upsetting time.

Very happy with lovely receptionists at all times , yesterday especially the vet was very helpful and explained about the condition . Very thorough . Very helpful with costs , insurance claim and obtaining cheaper options for special foods and medication . Very impressed actually .

Two years ago. I had to make the worst awful decision to have my beautiful cat Purl euthanized. She was a grey exotic short hair rescued from Bridgend cars rescue. We had her for 4 beautiful years and she have us more love than we can ever measure.
She was diagnosed with Polysystic Kidney Disease in 2018 and died 9 months later. I cannot express how the entire team supported us during the last months of her life. They were simply ... the best. Dave the vet would ring me up at home to give me a rundown as to the decline of the health of my beauty. Thus helping and reassuring me as to what was to come.
When the time came we spent over an hour in the examination room trying to make that final decision.
Purl was put to sleep with dignity and we wept so much for days..
I did express my sincere thanks to Valley Vets but would like to tell others of the wonderful service they all give as a team

The staff at Valley Vets really love and care for your animals, everyone makes such a fuss of them which is so lovely to see. The staff are so kind and caring and nothing is too much trouble for them. Thank you for being so kind and caring towards my girls. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
