My sister and I stayed over the weekend, we had our camper van and a car. We had a good size hard stand with electric and a very large open green space with a picnic bench. All of the pitches were well maintained and the static caravans all look very modern and comfortable with decking and little garden areas. The site is so peaceful and set back just enough from Hay that we could see the Milky Way! It was very spacious, probably more obvious in October despite it still being reasonably busy for the time of year. The facilities were clean, warm (important whilst camping in October) and offered everything we needed. The Taylor’s were really friendly and helpful, gave us great recommendations for a wild swim and made us feel genuinely welcome. The site was well maintained, to the point that even though we had torrential storms on the Friday, the site was still clean and not bogged down like so many get. The location was perfect for us to get out and explore, close to the river for kayaking and some great pubs in Hay. Highly recommended and we will be visiting again!

Great park in secluded location so the only noise is nature.

Good pitches with all facilities including free WiFi which has a strong signal.

Park managers are lovely and friendly, keep the park spotless and can't do enough to assist.

Will definitely be back

Amazing holiday park/campsite. Stayed in quite a few in England, this is by far the best so far. Amazing, modern, cosy facilities. Really nice pitches. Friendly owners. Even small things supplied like bricks for placing under BBQ's etc. Electric, water, and Freeview on every pitch. Really nice environment. Stayed two weekends, will definitely be staying more!

Very nice indeed! Staff wonderful. Pitch and facilities are the best I've seen. We hope to return here again. On the doorstep of Hay on Wye and a short trip to many other places of interest. The best toilets and showers I've experienced on a campsite. Peaceful and beautiful.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Two of them are bikers so its a biker friendly place. The toilet facilities here are excellent and they have won awards. It pretty quiet and dirt cheap for those camping in a tent. A half hour walk into Hay on Wye. You may want to get a taxi back as its all uphill. That should cost £6. There's a laundrette on site which requires coins. There's no shop on site so you need to take anything you need with you. There's a Texaco with a shop just 15 minutes walk away.

Wow what a fantastic campsite! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The toilet/showers are kept immaculate, there is also a lovely washing up area, play area, orchard, washing machine/dryer, plenty of beautiful wildlife and to top it off the views around this area are outstanding (and the staff are brilliant they work so hard to keep everything looking incredible)

My family have been camping for years though I'm more of a glamper now! We have found over the years that our experience gets tainted by those who are not considerate of others and don't keep noise levels down after 10pm or generally don't care about their behaviour. The staff advised if we had any problems to call them. One evening I did have to ring and they dealt with with the situation quickly and efficiently. We had an early start the next day as we were going to Tenby, which was a 2 hour drive away for my daughter's birthday present to meet a red panda! We didn't want to be shattered for that! (I'm all for having fun but I need my sleep! And tents only have thin walls and yes I do use ear plugs).

It is a great location to go of exploring with Hay on Why just down the road. I would also recommend a visit to the "Big Pit" it is about an hour away but the roads are so well maintained in Wales it was an easy drive plus the views on the way are well worth the drive and we had a great day out.

Thank you again for the best camping holiday we've had in ages!

We’ve just spent an amazing week at Borders Hideaway. It’s a lovely site. It’s very peaceful and tucked away in the countryside. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the site is beautifully maintained and on arrival you’re handed and very helpful information pack. They have gold awards for conservation and a lovely orchard and herb garden which you can use.
Each serviced pitch has its own water supply and TV Ariel, if you really want it!!! Also free Wi-Fi on site too with a very good signal. Good washing up facilities with complimentary Eco friendly washing up liquid. There is also an information room with lots of leaflet son the local area and also a small freezer for you to re-freeze your ice packs.
The shower block is immaculate and cleaned many times during the day, with no closure as they work around the visitors. There are 3 wet rooms with toilet, shower and basin and then one toilet on its own.
It’s a very quiet location in beautiful Welsh countryside with easy access to the Black Mountains & Brecon Beacons. 5 minutes from Hay-on-Wye where there is a Co-op to get provisions. Lots of lovely pubs around which all serve lovely food. We’d never been to Wales on holiday before but we’ll definitely be going back. Everyone we met were so friendly and everywhere we ate the food was amazing. We’ll definitely be returning to this campsite & the local area.

A lovely, quite camp site perfect for families. It has it's own orchard, a small children's play area, clean showers and toilets, lovely staff that were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back. Responsible prices. Loved that they had a "wild camping" field do those who didn't want EHU could be away from those with it.

Great campsite, especially the wild camping. The toilets are the cleanest I've ever experienced at a campsite, good for kids as there is a play area that is pretty much central in the site and about 5 minutes drive from the campsite there is a river which is good for swimming, paddle boarding and other water sports so if the weather is good, definately bring swim gear. Highly recommend this if your looking to go camping in wales.

Such a beautiful well maintained site. Pitches are a large size and on arrival you are escorted up to the pitch to avoid getting lost. Staff are amazingly friendly and made me (as a sole female traveller) feel welcome, safe and that nothing was too much trouble. Bathrooms were spotless!
