Lovely suite, had a upstairs..nice comfy bed (small double,if you like abit of space)nice and clean throughout. Nice hot shower, would stay again. The TV got no signal but had netflix lol

Excellent service and good food. Unfortunately kitchen close at 8-30 so didn't get to see the sweet menu. Otherwise excellent

We stay in one of the suites (downstairs and a up stairs) lovely and clean, heating if we were cold ,very comfy bed and pillows (double bed is on the small size,if you like a bit of space) lovely hot shower, would stay again.the pub that is part of the rooms is so lovely with very hardworking staff ,nice food and drinks.only got a pic of upstairs..I forgot.tv had no signal but had netflix lol.

Fantastic rooms and lovely pub grub. Was a fabulous stop over for the evening/ night. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

Lovely old tradional pub (very few around these days) , amazing food, room (suite) was so spacious, Clean and had everything you require.

Great place to stay. Exactly what was needed after a wedding in the area. Sam the housekeeper was exceptional. So friendly and kindly offered to drop us to our car the next morning. She made the stay!

Food was lovely the pork belly starter was my favourite really well cooked staff very friendly

We didn't stay just went for lunch. New owners? Chef? What an improvement! Menu was simple and delicious, fabulous steaks, crispy fries and a great dressed salad. Surpassed my expectations! Friendly and lovely staff. Will be back!

Vegetarian main meal choices are limited but loads of choice with the starters so we had 3 starters.

Went for dinner with friends, they were really bust and I wasn't expecting much, but they did really well and the food was amazing, best mixed grill I've had in a very long time, all perfectly cooked.
I do recommend this place for anyone looking for good food and a wide selection of beer.

We visited friends in the village yesterday and six of us had the pleasure of eating outside at this lovely pub.
To begin with the staff could not have been more attentive and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
The food was top class, the roast dinner which if there had been a vegetarian option for I certainly would have had. It looked and apparently was delicious. However I had their vegetarian lasagne which came with salad. I have to give my compliments to the chef, it was such a large portion and possibly one of the tastiest I have ever had. Thank you to everyone there. We will certainly be visiting again.

The food has always been very good. Lovely and cosy inside, and an excellent beer garden with lots of seating

What this place lacks in terms of it's menu choices, it certainly makes up for by the sheer quality of the food here. Going here for my dad's 50th birthday was one of the best meals that I have ever had in my life. Would definitely recommend, the staff are lovely with a good selection of drinks, plus an excellent atmosphere and mood of the pub. If you haven't been here you should definitely check it out!

Fantastic food and plenty of it! Chef was very helpful as two of us wanted half of 2 different pizzas. He split the dough instead and made us 2 smaller and wonderfully light pizzas. Authentic Italian based pizza in a fantastically English pub!

Brilliant pub. Didn't book and you need to on a Sunday but we were lucky with the October weather and could sit outside. GRAVY is the best and they should bottle it!!. Great roast. Great atmosphere. Great service. Great price at under 10 pound a meal. Really wish we lived closer and would hesitate to travel here if visiting close again.

Sat in the large garden, gorgeous food and drinks, staff are friendly, very welcoming and helpful.
Toilets are clean and easy to use.
Carpark is to the side of the pub and parking at the front so plenty of room, we have a large van and got in and out OK, even though it was very busy.
Allocated parking spaces for guests that are staying.
Would definitely visit again 😀

Popped in by chance for a quick drink, staff and locals were welcoming! Lovely garden area.

Went for my Mother-in-law's 80th birthday meal last night and the food was outstanding! So so tasty and great value for money. To ensure you can enjoy the generous portions go hungry! Lovely staff went the extra mile to make the evening very special. Thanks team EG, great work.

Reasonable prices, bit more variation than normal pub grub and served quickly.
