A stellar establishment!

I had forgotten that yesterday was going to be extremely busy, given Father’s Day - Karl kindly fit my party of five in at short notice.

I cannot fault this establishment. The food was superb, the service fantastic and speedy. We loved the diverse nature of the menu and were able to try a number of dishes. Some of us had the Sunday roast and others, dishes from the smoker. Great to see a number of vegetable accompaniments with the roast dinners as well.

Nothing was too much trouble for the waitresses and the wine list was extensive, which was great to see.

A stellar performance all round - thanks to Karl, Kat and the rest of the team.

We will certainly be back!

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Service was first class. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Room was modern and super clean. Breakfast was fit for a king !!! Tucked away in a lovely, quiet location. Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet get away. We will be popping back for a weekend away. we also met Archie, the original Dapper Spaniel :)

Stayed for 2 nights on a dog friendly stay. First time I have been away since lockdown and honestly couldn’t have stayed in a better place. The owners and all of the staff were amazing. The food exceptional both at breakfast and the evening meals. All cooked fresh to order. Had so much fun and our fur babies have never felt so welcome. Will be back for sure. Thank you Carl and all all for the laughs and the welcome feel staying at The Dapper Spaniel.

Went for an early evening dinner to celebrate my birthday.
First visit here and found the decor and atmosphere casual, tastefull and spotless.
The service and food was excellent and I'm sure that we will return again soon.
We both thought the warm cookie dough dessert was the highlight of the evening and worthy of 5 stars on its own.

Great value Steak Night! Made a last minute decision to go here on a Thursday night and took advantage of their Steak Night offer. My wife and I had rib eye steaks, with all the trimmings and a nice bottle of wine for less than £50. Lovely food, well cooked and with good service. Definitely will be back!

The food was excellent. We had the burger and the chicken, leek and ham pie followed by the lemon curd tart and the sticky toffee pudding. The service was as attentive as that of a good restaurant and the bar staff knew their drinks. The restaurant area is clean and comfortable. The owners are new and have settled for a good range of menu items. The is a good selection of vegetarian options too. The quality of the food is excellent. Chris said the pie was great and the jus fantastic along with the heritage carrots and quality vegetables. My burger was massive, the mushroom ketchup was really tasty and bacon from a other dimension, served with triple cooked chips. It was really really good. I do recommend this place. It is also possible to reserve a table online.

The lengths these people have gone to in order to ensure Covid safety is truly impressive.
The food is excellent, even for gluten/dairy-free vegans! The live music has been great. What more could you want from a pub?

I have returned to the Dapper Spaniel 10th August for a sunday roast meal with 8 family members. We were not disappointed the Roast Beef was so tender, served medium rare, 4 of the family had this and all heaped praise for the first class meal. All family cited their meals as served hot, well presented with good portions. We will certainly return again soon.

Went here tonight as a last minute thing as our plans changed last minute, called to book although busy they found us a table and we set off.

Service was great and the food was also great my the only two things that I could say but down to me personally is the menu was a little confusing and seemed to lack a little in options really however the food was really good and tasted amazing.

The other thing would be the fact that there was a dog in the restaurant area although the website does say dog friendly I did not expect to have a dog at the table next to us eating off a plate on the floor perhaps a little too out there for me as it was doing what dogs do when there's food about wanting to eat it. I have my own dog but don't like it around the table at home at meal times.

Apart from that great place service was good food was nice all at a very good price and honest will return and recommend.

Ps make sure you have a coffee amazing.

I have been to The Dapper Spaniel a few times now and the fabulous food never disappoints. The staff are friendly and very helpful, and the bonus is your dogs are very welcome also, they evan have a doggy menu and drinks for your canine friends. Definitely one of my favourite places to visit and eat

Excellent pub. A really homely atmosphere complete with dogs. I was lucky as it was open mic Friday. Certainly worth a visit I didn't done but those who were seemed please.

Karl and Kat have done an amazing job at transforming this place into a beautifully welcoming village pub. Amazing food, friendly staff, and a great setting. And your doggos are welcome, too!!

We were here for a Canada day celebration. The pub is lovely and clean and the staff were brilliant. Our meals were tasty and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

Went for a meal with the family. Lovely experience and food was top notch. Looked and tasted amazing. The duck dish blew my mind. Highly recommend.

What a great place. We were only in the area a couple of days and went to the dapper spaniel both evenings. The food is amazing and is some of the best I have ever tasted.

This is a very nice pub. We stayed the night in one of the rooms. The breakfast was great and so were the staff. The pub is located inside of Rolleston, even though google shows it outside the town.

Great meal - tasty food, well presented alongside warm and professional service.
