This is a great shop with perhaps the best collection of reasonably priced cards etc.in Bridgford and surrounding area. Friendly and helpful staff who , as far a we were concerned, went out of their way to sort out and order a special card they did not stock. . Brilliant.many thanks.

I’m a regular customer at Central New and Cards, but today they went above and beyond their usual friendly service. I was making a purchase for £5.80, but the staff member pointed out that I could get exactly what I wanted for a cheaper purchase of £2.20, thus saving me £3.60. I can’t think of many shops that would do themselves out of a bit extra cash.

Can't rate this shop highly enough they sell an amazing selection of beautiful cards to suit every occasion plus beautiful wrapping paper, gift boxes and an amazing selection of magazines but what really makes this shop special is the staff who are always so friendly and helpful 💗

Fantastic selection of cards

Really dislike leaving not so good reviews. Great stock in the store and eclectic selection of magazines.

I went in a couple of months ago with friends and found the guy at the counter was 'off' with me, afte my making a nice and throaway comment. I really don't like being treated this way, as there are plenty of unpleasant people in the world, but I'm always nice to staff on tills and dislike bad vibes over trifles. I wasn't going to write anything, but it put me off going in there again.

Having been looking for a 2020 diary at the big supermarkets, Tesco, Asda etc and also the local Co-op I returned to Central news where I got this year's diary from. At last.....a no nonsense diary, I'll probably be back next year for my 2021 diary.

On another note, whilst waiting to be served there was a little old lady being served at the head of the queue. Although the shop was busy the assistant was prepared to spend time chatting to the old lady who seemed in no hurry to leave. At first I was irritated but then just moved to another till to pay. I realised that this contact for the old lady may have been her only contact for the whole day, maybe the assistant had realised this too? But that's the kind of shop this is, if only more assistants were prepared to take the time with the elderly

Very rude woman behind counter. Shall not be revisiting.
