Great bike shop with nice customer service and very speedy service! The staff member was really lovely and even gave me a history of my bike which was a nice touch! My bike is working perfectly now and the amount of hand sanitising stations was great as well. The only thing was the front door which was difficult to open with a bike but other than this great service and will definitely use ir again :)!

My bike wasn’t doing what I wanted it to, and I went to Reg Taylor to try and make it go faster. I told the guy ‘do what you can to make it go faster’ and he performed a miracle. I feel like I have a brand new bike. He fixed 2 new tyres on and cycling is all of a sudden fun again. I can’t thank him enough. My Strava times are about 30% better than they used to be. And he also gave me advice on how to maintain it (by making sure the tyres were pumped up fully). One bad point was that my chain broke the day the bike left the store but the next day he fixed it for free so no big deal. These people know bikes. I won’t go anywhere else.

Reg Taylor cycles is the real deal. Staff offer honest advice and their charges are decent. More often than not, you won't be able to have your your bicycle fixed on the spot because they usually have a lot of bicycles to fix daily. So you'll most likely have to leave the bicycle and return in minutes to hours. Mine was ready in less than an hour however. And it would appear that they did a good job reconnecting my broken chain.

Took my bike in for a repair, it got fixed one day earlier than expected, tyres got a quick pump which they needed. The whole experience was excellent.

Would reccomend, service and attention to detail was top notch from start to finish, the price was very reasonable to boot so 5 stars plus, a real gem.

I have been to Reg Taylor Cycles more than once, and I would rate them more than 5 stars if that was an option. 100% the BEST IN OXFORD. The staff are absolutely amazing: very professional and with a strikingly kind mannerism, super easy to talk to even for those who, like me, don't really belong to the world of wheels and bikes. I had booked in for my bike to be serviced, but when I arrived, the shop assistant told me he wasn't sure if it was worth fixing for the price. He explained everything that was wrong with it very clearly and added it up for me, which made it clear that he was absolutely right, it needed too much work to be worth it! I really appreciated the honesty, which saved me a lot of money. Reg Taylor Cycles could easily have taken my business and cost me more money in fixing the bike than it was worth, but he was honest with me and saved me a bunch. Recommended by a keen cyclist & had problems with replacing a gear cable on my road bike. After buying the parts from them & running into difficulty i took my bike in the following day & i was greeted with a very friendly service & they were superb, they did the repair within a few hours & notified me that it was ready to be collected. Received excellent polite service at Reg Taylor. The team were quick with the items that needed fixing, honest and very reasonable pricing. They also did a safety check on the bike and found a serious fault so grateful for good workmanship. Will definitely use again

I stumbled upon this bike shop. I needed to replace a wheel my son's very old bike, (which meant it was an unusual size). Not only did they have the right wheel in stock, they also did the necessary modifications (moving spokes, changing the axle dimensions, moving over the old tyre and inner tube, pumping it up, etc for next to nothing. These guys are talented bike mechanics and pricing is extremely fair. If I was local I would use them for servicing every time and my son will be a regular, I'm sure. Highly recommended.

Fast services, experienced knowledgeable and friendly staff and all at a very fair price. Never tries to push services more than what's necessary and gives a clear honest opinion if the job needed turns out to be bigger than expected.

I always take my bike here to get fixed. This is one of the best bike shops in Oxford. The prices are very reasonable.The staff really know there stuff and are very helpful. The level of service and expertise you will get in old school independent stores like this is very rare in larger chain stores. If you are in Oxford and looking for that independent cycling shop with superior skills and knowledge, this is it.

Been bringing bikes here for 8 years. These guys know what they're doing, are friendly, efficient and fairly priced. They have done work on a tandem and solo bikes for me. Fitted dynamo lights, rebuilt wheels, ordered special parts at no extra cost and done regular maintenance, and turned every job around in good time. Wonderful place with a decent selection of bikes and basic accessories to purchase as well.

There are lots of bike shops in Oxford, but we always bring our bikes here when something needs doing. We get a great, speedy affordable and friendly service every time. What more could you ask for. We've also bought our last 2 bikes from here and I recommend talking to the staff if you are looking for a new bike. You get great advice, good prices and also great after-sale care.

I've used every bike shop in Oxford and Reg Taylor cycles is far and away the best. They do great services, all sorts of repairs and just rebuilt my beloved bicycle beautifully. The guys at Reg Taylors are fabulous. I have been bringing a variety of bikes to them for about 4 years. No matter if it is my carbon road bike or my 1980's folding shopper, they are helpful, courteous and friendly.
If work doesn't need doing then they will tell you. Turnaround time is very quick and no appointments usually necessary. They will order bits in for you and schedule when they can do the work.
Best bike shop in Oxford

I've been to lots of bike shops in Oxford but I like this one the best. They fixed my 15 year old and very much aging bike back to new. They're not necessarily the cheapest in Oxford however the work they do is excellent. They really do know there stuff. I never go anywhere else now.

Had my bike serviced yesterday. They did an excellent job at a very reasonable price! Dropped in at lunch without booking in advance and it was ready in under 2 hours! Friendly guys, happy to have found this place!

Oxford has at least ten bike shops. And this is probably the most unassuming-looking of them. But the workshop is a true wonder. Knowledgeable, careful, quick, cheap, polite. You might walk past and think 'Ah, it's all kids' bikes and hybrids, they won't know X or Y'. But they do! Over the past few weeks they've serviced my folder, cut a carbon steerer, installed a dropper post with complicated internal routing. Every time the work has come back immaculate.

No hype, no fuss, no hidden workshop or big displays. It's just great. Use this shop.

EDIT: They have also packaged, posted, and returned a wheel that needed parts they couldn't acquire, liaised with the external company, and put up their own money for the repair before I paid them. I didn't even buy the wheel from Reg T in the first place. Seriously, this business is AMAZING.

They're a proper LBS with encyclopedic knowledge and plenty of time for
people who have difficult problems to solve.
They helped me identify a particular issue and then sourced the part for me and offered to fit it. Without their specialist knowlege my project bike would still be sitting in the shed. Thanks
