Cannot recommend Johnny enough! We live in a concrete 50s block with ancient plumbing that seems to be a nightmare for every tradesperson so far. Except Johnny. He gutted our decrepit kitchen and built us a new one. It is beautiful, very good quality and we love it. His knowledge was unbelievable- woodwork, masonry, plumbing, cabinets, flooring, paint, appliances, plastering, etc. Absolute fountain of knowledge. He knew what to ask when we didn't, and was so patient when I needed him to explain something a few times to understand it. He anticipated the things we didn't know, that we didn't know. The project overran as these things tend to do, but we didn't mind because we knew the finished product would be outstanding- and it was.

Also want to add that Johnny is an absolute gentleman and a truly kind soul.

On top of all that our neighbours loved him and he kept bringing us bacon butties! Absolute legend.

If you are looking for a very talented perfectionist to sort your kitchen out then Johnny absolutely is your fella. You won't find anyone more passionate, dedicated and trustworthy. He taught us so much and it was a genuine pleasure to have him.

We were really delighted with Johnny’s work and would highly recommend him. He removed a whole kitchen for us and installed new cabinets, tiling etc. He managed all the elements of the project for us - kitchen cabinet order , delivery, installation, tiling and any necessary involvement of other contractors. We were not in the city at the time and he consistently kept us up to date on progress, filled us in when there were issues and ALWAYS came with a solution. I will start with the bottom line: among all the contractors I have worked with in the process of renovating my flat, John is the only one I would employ again!
His experience in planning and fitting kitchens is remarkable and his work ethic is honest and transparent.
John supported me throughout the whole project, providing great advice both regarding suppliers and the kitchen planning itself. He project managed the works liaising and coordinating different contractors (i.e rubbish collection, electrician, plumber), alleviating me greatly.
His approach was very considerate of me as a customer; every day he left my flat as tidy and as dust free as possible and consistently kept me informed of any changes in the plan and of the inevitable hiccups.
I am extremely grateful to John for consulting me before making decisions, so that I could evaluate options and be sure the final result was functional for my specific needs. In my previous experiences I have noticed this way of working is not common - as it might be more time consuming - and I value it immensely.
As a customer, in my opinion it is important to be present to offer support as and when needed and ensure there are clear mutual understanding and expectations.

John was phenomenal. Excellent work on the kitchen, great recommendations and suggestions, useful discussion about the project. Very friendly, polite and mindful of our need to still live and use the house whilst kitchen installation happened. I'd happily use John again for any future jobs and seemed a step ahead of the other people we got quotes from.

John did a brilliant job fitting our new kitchen worktop. We had a few issues hidden behind the existing cabinets which he managed to fix. His services included troubleshooting the plumbing issues with the boiler and central heating, and fitting a new fridge under the worktop. Very happy with the work done and will be using John for future works for sure.

We are so happy we used John & Urban Refurb on our recent kitchen refurbishment. He removed our existing kitchen, fully fitted a new kitchen, plumbed, tiled, plastered and painted, with every aspect finished to perfection. His work is exemplary with an excellent eye for detail and finish. John is very professional and respectful of the living space, leaving it clean and tidy at the end of each day. John is very friendly and personable and has a wealth of knowledge. We really appreciated his advice and suggestions throughout the job. Navigating a large kitchen renovation during a pandemic was never going to be easy, but John was incredible. He was flexible, professional and extremely personable, nothing was ever too much and he was always willing to go the extra mile to make sure things were perfect. Even outside of the kitchen project, when myself and my partner were isolating with covid he was making sure we were all set for food etc.

With John you get a extremely knowledgeable kitchen designer and fitter, who has contacts in every aspect of the trade. He CAD designed and organized the sourcing of our kitchen cabinets, as well as recommended a great stone worktop contact of his. The project was a full refurb, ripping out an old kitchen, flooring and the ceiling and needed a complete redesign. He liaised and coordinated plumbers, electricians, waste removal and plasterers throughout the project, and only charged their cost (not adding anything on top). His pricing was very competitive and very fair. We are extremely happy with the quality of work and finish of our lovely new kitchen.

We had an incredible experience with this company. Johnny is a pleasure to work with, and was able to deal with all of the unexpected twists and turns as we renovated our kitchen. He did a fantastic job, including:
- Ripping out all of the old kitchen, including the floor
- Re-lining and damp proofing a small extension that had been badly built last time - it's now warm, dry and light
- Installing our solid wood kitchen, including building some bespoke elements
- Fitting all the new appliances
- Laying the Amtico kitchen floor
- Re-plumbing everything and replacing radiators
- Repainting
- Helping with tricky bits of design - we really wouldn't have had such a good outcome without his ideas

We chose Johnny to fit our Wickes designed kitchen, and we are so glad we did! There are many great things to be said! He has a lovely personality which makes it a pleasure to have him around the house. He is very communicative (using Whatsapp) and was always keeping us to date with the project (as for the first 2.5 weeks we were in a different country as he got on with the job). He is very trustworthy, and we trusted the different people he brought in for other aspects of the jobs. He kept the house very tidy and was always cleaning up after himself. His work (to my untrained eye) is excellent quality, and I believe his price was very reasonable (thankfully our landlord paid!). He was happy to give us ideas (i.e. to have shelves or not to) whilst at the same time being happy to adjust and be flexible to changes in our plans.

We would highly recommend him!!

I couldn't fault John's work on my new kitchen. He was cheerful, responsive, diligent and efficient. I was kept informed throughout, and the finished kitchen is leagues ahead of what I was expecting.

John helped me when I was in a bind (I needed the kitchen doing at last minute with virtually no time to plan it) and even though he was about to go on holiday he took on the job and did everything he could to get it completed as soon as possible. John and his team have recently finished a beautiful kitchen renovation for us. They handled everything, the rip out, plastering, electrics, plumbing, flooring, fit out, tiling and rubbish disposal. We had a solid idea on how we wished the kitchen to look, and John worked with us to achieve this, even suggesting alternative ideas/options to help improve our vision. Although the overall project took a bit longer than first expected, we'd much rather the work be completed to the high standard that it is than it to be rushed (particularly as I am a real perfectionist and a sticker for attention to detail). John is super friendly, always willing to give his professional advice, and was respectful and clean in our flat. Overall we are incredibly happy with the results.
