We brought a selection of bakes to take home to try and we were not disappointed! The Bakewell tart was delicious and one of the best we’ve tasted. It was especially delicious with some creamy custard! The Bakewell pudding was something we’d not heard of, but worth a try. It’s puff pastry based and tasted good! The shop was very busy and popular with tourists!!

Paid this place a visit today. Really cute shop and great selection of food. Ladies behind the counter were super friendly too. Best Bakewell tart I’ve ever eaten (and I’ve eaten a few). The pasty was so big I had to eat it in two sittings and again was super yummy. If you’re local I defo recommend paying them a visit

When the cold wind blows right through you…it chills you to the bone 🦴…
On this occasion the wind blew me and my motorcycle right in to Bakewell…. I needed tea and I needed cake 🍰 ….. staff sooooooo accommodating, tea for one served with an extra pot of nice hot water,👍 what’s not to love 🥰 then there’s the cake …. I’ll let the image do the rest.
Take time, take a trip, but most importantly pop Bakewell in the satnav

We made a special stop here to experience a genuine Bakewell Tart. Coming from America, I could not wait to try what everyone talked about. I wasn't disappointed; the tart was fresh, delicious and rich. So glad I bought an extra slice since my family and I went through the first very quickly!

The customer service was excellent. The staff are all very welcoming, friendly, and attentive.

We visited to try the gluten-free Bakewell Tart and were not disappointed. It's a huge portion served with cream, ice cream, or custard. I couldn't finish mine so it was wrapped up for me to take away.

The menu is extensive, and the savoury meals being eaten by other customers looked great.

I'd highly recommend a visit!

The customer service was excellent. The staff are very friendly, attentive and polite. I don't think I've ever experienced such amazing service.

The food was really tasty, we ordered a cheese & onion pastie and a potato bake, both served with salad and coleslaw.

The best part was obviously the bakewell pudding. I've never had one that tastes soo good. I'd recommend having it with custard.

Had a beautiful experience with this company. I ordered 5 tarts online and I received my order within 2 days. Upon. Opening my order to my surprise they had given me an extra tart (with a note saying "extra tart") what a lovely thing to do. Thanks for that guys.

Needless to say I enjoyed every bit of the tarts, as we were celebrating my son birthday and wanted an extra special treat. Great company, great service, great products.

Massive thanks!!

Ryan

Been here a couple of times, lovely food and good portions. We went on a bank holiday weekend at about 3pm and most places were closing but The Bakewell was open and welcoming. Fay is also the best!

Called in with my girlfriend to buy one of their traditional tarts. Left with slices of traditional tart, a couple of slices of different coconut cake, and two Bakewell puddings!
I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but they've all been absolutely exceptional, and the lady who served us was super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back next time we're in the area.

Called in for dinner. I ordered homity pie and Australian sticky chai.
My pie was delicious and every bit was eaten.
I ordered the Chai as a change from my usual Latte, so glad I did, tasty doesn't describe it. I would love to be able to make that myself.
This place would be my every day visit if it wasn't so far away from my home...shame.

Super friendly cafe who were really accommodating for our party of 15 adults and kids. Ordered a mixture of cakes, pasties, sandwiches etc that were all delicious. They even gave us a complimentary birthday Bakewell tart to one of our party who was celebrating her 70th that day. Shout out to Stacey & team for a lovely visit with the best Bakewell tarts/puddings in town. They offer gluten free and vegan options for the Bakewell tarts as well.

My husband and I had Bakewell Tarts and a Toffee Tiffin to take away. The lady who served me was friendly. My goodness, the Bakewells were delicious! We munched through them on the Monsal Trail 😁. Just what we needed. He enjoyed the Tiffin too. Would definitely visit again when in lovely lovely Bakewell 😍

Retraining as a ploughman to justify this lunch. Simply the best ploughman’s lunch I’ve ever had.
The Huntsman’s pie was so tasty. Pork, chicken and stuffing. Such great portions I saved half to take home and I don’t usually ask for a doggy bag.

We always visit this shop when we’re in Bakewell. The Bakewell tarts are the finest we’ve had. We always buy them from here. My partner had the Homity pie and loved it. We saved the Bakewell tarts for our afternoon coffee.

Another thing. The staff are lovely. Really lovely. They were especially attentive to the elderly couple next to us ( who were chuckling at my doorstop ham sandwich). It’s so nice to see. The young chap who took our order was so polite and efficient. The owner is so nice. Thanks to all. We’ll see you when we’re next in from Manchester. The lunch more than refuelled me from the parkrun! 😀

It was absolutely ramo when I visited in the week, I’m sure the rain had a big role to play in that!
I got some quick bakewell takeout to enjoy at home and my word, did we enjoy. Never had a bakewell quite like it, so nutty and moist with beautiful crunchy pastry.
I am happy this place isn’t too close or I would be tempted far too often!!
Do yourself a favour and try their tarts whilst you are in Bakewell. When in Rome as they say.

Visited The Bakewell Tart Shop 1 May, mid morning. The young lady shop assistant was very pleasant, helpfull, efficient, knowledgeable and informative. I purchased Bakewell Tarts, Bakewell Puddings, Jars of Chutneys and Homity Pies. The amazing assistant, who is a massive asset to your Company, boxed all my Tarts and Puddings up for me. As I had a few carrier bags I asked her if I could call back to collect them. This was no problem and she even said that she would put the pies in the fridge. My friend and I mentioned that we were then going into your cafe. She took us through and seated us. Outstanding customer service. We then ordered a latte and americano plus Toasted Fruit Bread and Bakewell Tart and Custard. All were served hot and truly delicious. The young gentleman who served us was very pleasant, helpfull and efficient too. As a nice gesture he brought us a bottle of cold water without asking however it was much appreciated.
This was an amazing experience from entering the shop to leaving the cafe.
A must if you are visiting Bakewell. You won't be disappointed.
Great staff, great products, great customer service and great prices.
Thank you.
