Jewson Ipswich - Greyfriars Road

Great location for local builders working in or close to town center, 10 mins max from A14 just after the Orwell bridge, great bunch of guys that work there too, full of quality products and tool hire .
Plus a small show room showing paving slabs layed on the floor including the current trend of Porcelain.

It's rare that I often feel the need to write reviews however I went to jewson in Ipswich yesterday and from start to finish the service was spot on, knowledgeable staff, and very helpful. I purchased some 5.5.mm plywood for a divan bed reinforcement.
The chap who was rather large in stature like myself (unsure of his name) cut the wood to my measurements. We both looked at it and they looked really small. He measured them again and even checked online at double bed sizes and they were correct. They looked alot bigger when I got them home and they fitted a treat. I will most definitely be going back. Especially as the chap from wickes recommended them to me in the first place.

Brilliant service

They've got the Jewson lot.... Unless they haven't got what you want! Handy location for town centre which is reflected in the pricing. Only complaint is against the forklift driver that day. Light/grey hair late 40's early 50's. He came across as condescending and impatient but did bring our boards to the van. Which, to be fair is his job! Is an average DIY customer really going to know that instead of climbing up and passing the boards down, one should wait for the forklift operator to move them to the ground... when he decides it's your turn!
A training day that teaches basic customer service and how to communicate with the public, letting them know that you are the big dog in that yard without barking!
I guess he is a long term employee and has too many years redundancy money coming if let go!
