Cock and Pye

I come in here a lot recently after walking past it countless times, it’s a great spot that can easily be missed due to the location but seriously worth going in. I go during the day when it’s more of a restaurant/pub feel, but I know in the late evening it is quite lively with more of a bar/club vibe especially on weekends. It’s a Greene king pub and the menu isn’t massive but it’s got a lot of good dishes on offer. I go for the small plates as it’s great value and the options are expansive. The staff are always lovely, all seem to know very well their craft. Atmosphere is usually chilled unless it’s game day, the decor is very chic and nice for a pub!

Great drinks and atmosphere, good for a game of pool. A wide selection of drinks. Unfortunately a small section of food, used to be much more extensive. I wish they'd add more.

One of the best pubs in town. One of the original places to be at. Great service, food - pub grub. Chilled daytime atmosphere and weekend nights get lively. Recommended

Me and my daughters always come here for dinner when in town. Fantastic children's menu. Great prices and staff are always friendly even in busy times. Best pub in town.

Popped in for Sunday lunch yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, Great value for money too and very tasty I couldn't eat it all.

Thanks to Ben and all the staff for the excellent service, carrying a beer over for me when I am not doing so well, may seem easy but for me sometimes it is not. And for the excellent Xmas Dinner food and service was excellent even though the pub was packed.

One of the best bars in Ipswich. Always has a welcoming atmosphere, the staff are amazing and the food is really good.

Great spot to grab a pint and food. Food was delicious. The small fish n chips is enormous so be careful and hungry!

We were told about this pub after visiting Wetherspoons,what a difference,this pub serves great food,so good we went for another meal

Popped in just before food stopped being served, but barman squeezed us in. Food was tasty and good value. Place was clean. Not very busy on a Sunday evening. Would go again.

Great pub in a great location. Been here many times for drinks over the last ten years and have never had a bad experience just good people.
Should probably try the food one day...

Love this place, drinks are reasonable. Staff are friendly ( except the cook when it's clocking off time lol).
Not too busy so you can get a drink without waiting too long. Pool table £1.50 (leans to the left bottom lol). But all good.
All in all a good 5 ***** from me. We will be back
