Thank you Jules for letting us have Harold, we had a great weekend. Your organisation was excellent and it was reassuring to know that there was lots of support if we needed it, but none required, he performed impeccably.
Harold went well, different to drive but that is to be expected of a 50 year old vehicle. We loved the raised seating and wide view from his big screen. He was easy to park and it was so nice to be able to pull up, get the kettle on and sit on the comfortable rear seat admiring the view.
Thank you for everything that was included with Harold, the awning was really useful and fine to put up to us newbies. You seemed to provided all the necessary equipment and even with just the two burners we were able to prepare some nice meals.
Raising the roof was very simple and the extra headroom in the cooking area really appreciated. The rock and roll rear bench turned into a really large and comfortable bed, giving us a good night's sleep.
Hopefully we will be able to hire him for another trip again sometime, that is if we don't buy our own camper van, yes we enjoyed it that much to seriously consider owning one. .

Suffolk VW Campers were brilliant from start to finish. Jules was always very responsive to any queries and kept us up to date from the moment of booking until the big day. Jules was very friendly on the big day and made all the bridal party feel at ease. Harold (the Camper) was also beautiful and well looked after. We had a super week in Harold the Camper Van. Our twins wanted to see what it was like to camp, they always remember the Pepper Pig camper van of the future episode and this sparked their interest in Harold. The van itself is in amazing condition, everything works beautifully and the owners have thought of everything to make a trip in Harold easy. For me, it was a trip down memory lane and a joy to drive a van without satnav listening to the familiar sound of the engine in the back whistling away. It also reminded me of a time when people used to wave at each other on passing, when your in the same vehicle - charming, simple and lovely. We would really recommend a trip in Harold.

First time hiring and driving an old VW camper and we couldn't have picked a better one. Harold comes with EVERYTHING you need - Jules (owner) is absolutely meticulous and took the time to give me a complete tour of the van before we drove off. Our two children camped in the roof and adored it, a really good dose of life in the slow lane. Miss the van and wish we had one of our own!

"Harold" the camper van was the transport for my daughter's wedding in Thorpeness last Saturday. Jules was meticulous in his planning for the day and Harold was the ideal tranport for the Bride, Groom and Bridesmaids, and myself. Jules, Harold’s owner, is very user friendly In terms of making sure Harold is ready for you to drive and ‘live in’ , he is extremely efficient Before I drove Harold alone, he sat with me for 10 minutes whilst I got to grips with driving Harold These classic vehicles handle very differently to modern cars so it’s essential to feel competent and confident Which I did after Jules’ instruction
I made use of the set up service offered to get me and Harold settled in to Pink Moon Camping I can’t fault the care and effort which Jules took
He is available 8-6 daily for any queries too
Harold is a beauty and a real pleasure to stay in He’s beautifully restored and kitted out Much admired by others too
All the little details are taken care of and I massively appreciated eating off real plates not plastic
I had a very comfortable festival experience and immediately booked for next year so that says it all really!

My husband and I hired 'Harold' the camper for a self drive trip at the beginning of May & couldn't recommend enough to anyone who was looking to do so...The whole process from start to finish was super easy and well organised. Thankyou Jules for everything we had a fabulous long weekend break even though the weather could have been kinder!!

I booked Harold (name of the camper van) for my wife’s 40th birthday and really enjoyed driving him for 4 days up and down the Suffolk coast, a unique experience and one I would recommend to all. Jules is extremely easy to deal and communicate with so booking was straight forward. I loved getting to grips with driving a VW camper van and other campers are genuinly interested in talking to you about the experience. A great weekend and hopefully we can do it again someday!!!

We hired Harold and (Julian!) for our country wedding on Saturday 30th June. What a wonderful way to travel! Harold was very much admired both inside and out. A truly stunning campervan, immaculate and with such style. Julian was at all times professional, competent and able to calm the pre wedding nerves! His calm and welcoming approach was very much appreciated by us. The journey to our wedding was made so pleasurable and so well thought out! I can never thank Julian enough. Truly wonderful.

Hired Harold for my son's wedding and it was absolutely brilliant. We loved having a car that was a little bit different and it was immaculately presented. The service was superb and the way Julian kept in touch at all stages was very reassuring. The whole thing went like clockwork and I would highly recommend Julian and Harold!

We had an excellent time in this Camper van. Being first-timers, we were delighted to be given meticulous advice and handover by the owner Jules. The condition of the van is impeccable, mechanically sound, and the sleeping very comfortable indeed. All in all, highly recommended

My sister and I hired Harold for a weekend in August 2016 and couldn't be happier with our experience. After the initial adjustment to driving a VW van - you have to adopt a slightly more active driving stance! - we sailed around Suffolk without any problems at all, visiting Sizewell, Walberswick, Southwold and Framlingham. Jools supplied us with enough maps for us to get round easily - essential given very patchy mobile reception - and we had very comfortable stays at the Southwold campsite and Beach View holiday park near Sizewell. Harold is extremely well fitted out - with sink, fridge, cooker, power points, even heating in case the weather turns cold - and is fully equipped with everything we needed for cooking. The bed is easy to pull out and we both slept extremely well. This was a nostalgia trip for us, reliving memories of childhood holidays, but we definitely made many new memories and would do this again.

We have just come back from a wonderful week with Harold the camper. Great fun to explore East Anglia. Even the dog enjoyed it! Couldn't recommend hiring Harold enough. A great service provided by Julian and a thoroughly nice chap to boot!

We had a fantastic time in our little Camper-van from SuffolkVWcampers. The handover was comprehensive and covered all the essentials necessary to enable a 'carefree' few days driving around North Norfolk. The camper was excellent, more than comfortable for the four of us and with the supplied awning, space was never an issue. Only wished we had hired it for a whole week as the three days flew by and before we knew it, we were handing it back.
These Vans have now become expensive and unobtainable for most people to buy. Having such a good example to hire and use and fortunately for us only in the next village was ideal.
I would dearly love to have this van parked on my drive to use and enjoy all year round
