Very peaceful woodland and easy sandy walking paths, big enough to not feel crowded, plenty of options depending on how energetic you're feeling! There is a car park but I would imagine it gets full quite quickly at busy times.

So many walks. Took my son cycling. There isn't always a clear path but children love the exploring. There is many routes that you can try. We will be trying out different routes.

Whitmoor/Worplesdon Common has to be one of the nicest walks in this part of Surrey.

It has woodland, elevated walkways, sand dunes, lakes, streams and (currently) Galloway Belters - the whole gambit

Lovely walk with shaded and open options and optional pub. Can get boggy when wet.

Take the dogs here regularly for a nice long (or shorter) circular walks. There are multiple routes and you always run into other friendly dogs and they have a good play together in the sandy area or in the pond. My dogs love it and so do I! Surrey Wildlife does a fantastic job of looking after it, lots of birds to see also. We really appreciate having it on our doorstep and being able to access such a lovely and diverse area.

Great for walking the dog, our kids in the winter, autumn love the mud and puddles and in the summer climbing tree's. The dog loves the big pond and usually if you go mid morning lots of other dogs and in the early afternoon too. You walk different ways round to make it more fun each time too. Good space for parking how ever sometimes can get busy but is not long till a space comes available.

This is such a lovely, friendly place to walk. The car park can get busy at times but usually if you wait a short while a space becomes free. We have been walking our dogs here for years. There are lots of different paths and most of them are on flat ground. Just be careful if you cross to Jordans Hill and around the access road to properties along the lane on Worplesdon side of common, as there are a couple of Royal Mail vans that forget to slow down.

Lovely open space, very peaceful and with some well-maintained paths. Some areas are more rough terrain but all fairly easy walking. Lots of variety in vegetation and a beautiful lake. Some bench seats dotted around. Watch out for the boggy bits if you have dogs or children!

It is a fantastic place to go for a walk. I have a dog and he just loves his walks there. However if the charges are brought in I will not be walking him there. I am retired, encouraged to walk by the medical profession and yet I have to pay for the privilege which I cannot afford twice a day. I already pay council tax so why should we pay more. Dog walkers will probably be the only people who will use the common as they can pass on the charges to their clients.
The council really need to review this!

Probably my favourite place to walk the dogs. The parking can get congested, particularly at weekends, and the paths are uneven and can be very muddy at times. But it's a beautiful little common you can get around in a little under an hour, but can take a lot longer if you explore the extended routes.
There's a pond at the far end (if you're starting off from the Salt Box Rd carpark) through the woods. This can get very low in periods of drought, and the water will be quite smelly during these times (for those dogs who like the water).
Please note that, during long hot summers, the common undergrowth gets very dry and is particularly vunerable to casually discarded cigarettes etc. There have been three significant fires here in recent years, one quite recently, causing devastation to trees, vegetation and wildlife.
So please, take care if you're a smoker, and definitely no BBQs

We call this place "dog poo common", as the paths are paved with dog poo. It's a common, pun intended, place to bring a dog for a walk, and not everyone picks up, some pick up, bag and then put in the hedge. No, I don't believe it either, but I've seen it!

We often play count the dog poo bag or count the dog egg!

This is a great place to come for a walk, there are plenty of paths, good wildlife, Dartford warbler if you are lucky, we heard a cuckoo tonight, you might see deer.

Thanks
