The Old Bake House

Hands down one of the best Bacon, Brie and cranberry paninis I have ever had! This mixed with a beautiful building and lovely garden in the back.

A perfect place to stop with my daughter for a quiet and relaxed break after school where she enjoyed a wonderful hot chocolate stacked with helpings of cream and marshmallows! (Child heaven) and a delightful coffee for myself.

The staff are charming, very helpful and very polite.

We will certainly be returning here again. Fantastic.

Fabulous little gem of a cafe in the oldest part of Worthing, goes back to Tudor times. Lovely coffee, great cakes, and friendly staff, but also really good prices. Definitely not a hipster joint :)

Kelly and Ruth made our beautiful wedding cake which was a 3-tier buttercream pumpkin spice cake with incredibly intricate, edible, autumnal decorations. Kelly & Ruth were really helpful in the design, letting us know how it would work as well as listening carefully to our ideas. They also kindly created some slices for us to try before we confirmed the flavour! As and when I had questions Kelly & Ruth was super easy to get hold of. On the day of the wedding Kelly & Ruth came to the venue to carefully assemble the cake, thoughtfully placing each decoration in order to ensure it was perfection! The cake looked absolutely beautiful and was exactly as we imagined. The guests and my suppliers were in awe and every single one of our guests, without exception, complimented the cake! Everyone thought it was delicious as well! Kelly & Ruth are expert cake makers and if you haven’t had a slice of one of their cakes yet then I recommend you get yourself to The Old Bakehouse ASAP! Thank you so much for our beautiful wedding cake, I know how much time, love and care went into making it.

Can't even begin to explain how good this chilli cheese scone was! Topped with chutney and cream cheese, heavenly.
Lovely atmosphere, inside and out, and will definitely be returning to try a fruit version.

Perfect place to go to enjoy wonderful homemade food and to be served by friendly efficient staff always cheerful, helpful and make you feel relaxed and comfortable.
I had a special occasion and ordered a
Victoria Sponge Cake to be picked up.
My guests and I all agreed it was the best we had ever tasted. It was so fresh and baked that day.

I've had afternoon tea at the Old Bakehouse 3 times because it's SO good! A lovely treat with the fancy cups and saucers but still very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. You get such great value for money, you can choose exactly what you want, and they're brilliant with free-from options.

Wow what a find. Need to book although our first time here we were accommodated without one. Great food lovely friendly service and great atmosphere. The tea room is comfortable and nicely furnished. Loved the large 🍵 teacups

Such a wonderful tea room who brilliantly created our wedding cake. The manager, Ruth and all the staff were so cheerful and professional. I'd definitely recommend their super service. Thank you to everyone who went the extra mile and made our cake and whole day a truly memorable one!

Had an amazing High Tea The Old Bake House Tea Room Tarring they did a dairy free one for me and you would have never known it! The lemon drizzle was amazing. Special shout out for Kelly (not me another Kelly!)who runs it with her Mum.

What a lovely little tea room, with a homely feel to it. Me and my fiancee was served by two lovely ladies with such politeness and a smile. We had two baguettes which were amazing, the bread was so good also had two slices of cake which were amazing too and two bags of fudge and two coffees which was equally amazing! I strongly recommend this tea room.

The owners of this business, Ruth and Kelly are just wonderful. Both are professionally trained chefs and their food shows that, and both have a great sense of humour. Their wedding/special occasion cakes are stunning, delicious works of art.

Our first visit to this great little Tea Room, it looks teeny from the outside, but plenty of seating inside plus a little patio to the right and more out the back, with a little play house for the kids. We received a very friendly welcome from Linda and her ladies who were very attentive. We had lunch (and cake!) Very reasonably priced fabulous food. Can't wait to visit again.

Smashing, quaint & cosy tea house. Lovely high tea beautiful cakes,scones & sarnies. Excellent service, made to feel welcome & special. My first visit to this small and quaint tea shop, my wife has been here a number of times and loves it. Well I must admit if your after a good cupa in a very nice tea room well I would suggest you visit here. The owner was very nice and polite plenty of seating and some very nice looking cakes on offer.

Love it here. Great food & wonderful ambience. Always such fun in here. Staff are so friendly & excellent service. Had bacon & brie sandwich. Last time had cheese & onion scone with cream cheese & chutney. Best tea around.
