Amazing experience
Dan & Ellie were great hosts and were very welcoming.
The kids loved it, helping on animal feeds and adventuring around the site.
Close to lovely towns and beaches with boat trips to go dolphins spotting

The camp itself was simply amazing!! The tents were cosy yet spacious, clean and tidy
Couldn’t recommend it enough!! It was fantastic!!!
Thanks again and we will certainly be visiting again!!

Absolutely loved our stay at Canvas and Campires. It is a well thought out set up, with cozy sofa's, comfortable beds, kitchen and wood burning stove. We had the accessible tent with an en-suite bathroom. With all those luxuries we were still able to experience the Welsh wind and rain on the canvas, making the tent even more cosy.

The hosts, Ellie and Dan, are wonderful too, they have so much local knowledge and can give tons of recommendations for days out and places to eat.

We visited with 3 boys aged 12, 14 and 16 and they all enjoyed the holiday.

We would go back in a heart beat!

We've just returned from an amazing stay. Dan and Ellie were both lovely hosts, really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The tents are spacious and the beds comfortable. The kitchen has everything you would need for a few days away. We also had a hottub which the kids especially loved. Couldn't recommend C&C enough. Will definitely be back again soon.

Some places are so good you want to keep them a secret. Dan and Ellie are truly lovely people and wonderful hosts; their daughters were delightful. My son was able to go out and play like it was 1985. The animal feeding round every morning is fantastic, a special mention to the piggies, Hippo and Apple, who were a class act. We booked to return before we'd left.

Wow, what an amazing find by my wife!

We stayed in the little cow shed cottage for the weekend and it was fantastic, spacious for two and cosy with the log burning stove and snug up the ladder.

The log fire heated hot tub was a complete bonus (we'd forgotten about that until the day before we arrived), especially with one super clear night. Sitting in the tub, in almost complete darkness looking up at the stars was a really memorable experience.

Dan & Elly are the owners here and couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. Although it was off season for the Safari tents, Dan showed us around them, and they are very high quality indeed. We'll be looking to stay in them sometime in the near future. What really impressed us was their attention to detail and efforts to make sure that the tents are fully accessible, really impressed by the lengths they've gone to.

The whole site is worth exploring, from the duck pond to the pig styes at the top of the hill. Kids will love it all, with a big field below the tents and the chance to feed chickens.

Dan has a wealth of knowledge about the local area and can recommend places to visit and dear & drink, several of which we tried out. We could have stayed here for much longer.

Depending on your phone network, you might find limited or no mobile reception. We're in EE and O2 and had almost nothing. This is probably a good thing when you're staying somewhere like this, and gives you the chance to disconnect.

I can't recommend this very special place enough, truly wonderful.

Absolutely wonderful stay at Canvas and Campfires this past week. Dan and Ellie are welcoming and kind hosts. Stunning green luscious landscape... lovely pigs, sheep and chickens roaming around. Really comfortable beds in the beautiful converted cowshed.... the photos on the website don't do it justice. Such a perfect escape from busy day to day life. Near beaches and woodland and lovely Welsh towns to explore. Perfect holiday destination. Recommend a massage with Caz down the road too, at Healing Haven Massage 😊

This place is amazing. The hosts Dan And Ellie are very welcoming and friendly and always willing to chat as are the pigs, sheep and chickens that run around the site. The site itself is well laid out with plenty of space between the safari tents. The tents are LARGE! We had one of the accessabilty tents and it was more spacious and well appointed than some of the lodges we have stayed at. We can say that we all really enjoyed our experience at Canvas & Campfires and that the accessible tent we stayed in was equipped with a fully accessible shower room, all doors were more than wide enough and the added touches of slightly higher tables and a wooden verander enabled us to enjoy some much needed family time.
Wonderful place to stay I would reccomend with out hesitation.

Awesome place, great for families. Dan, Ellie and family are great hosts. The tents are clean, well appointed, warm and great fun. the location is perfect, good for access to local beaches and great if you just want to spend all day at the campsite. Lots of things for the children to do, they were huge fans of feeding the animals.hope to be back soon.

Had the chance to supply children's entertainment at this venue over the weekend, the owners were more than accommodating and helpful in ensuring a seamless and enjoyable event was had by the families staying at the campsite. Highly recommended from us here at Plan Bee Events

Our stay in Ellie and Dan's safari tents was wonderful. The tents were absolutely beautiful and better still really accessible, they even provided me with vibrating smoke alarms as I am Deaf and wouldn't hear an audio alarm. I have to say the beds are so comfortable we had one of the best nights sleep we have had in ages. The setting is stunning and seeing the animals on the farm was lovely. Dan and Ellie themselves are so friendly and made our stay. We will absolutely be returning!

A wonderful week spent in the comfortable and very well equipped Safari tent. We saw red kite soar above us during the day, and watched shooting stars from the hot-tub at night!
The kids loved collecting the eggs and feeding the animals. Beautiful Welsh coastline was just a short drive away, and we were well looked-after throughout by owners Dan and Ellie.

This is the second year Canvas and Campfires has been going, but you would never know it by the quality of service we got from Dan and his family. The tents are all in immaculate condition, with wood burning stoves, surprisingly comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, and an indoor loo. Showers are just on the other side of the green.

This is a great place for kids, especially under-12s. Each morning “Farmer Dan” collects all the kids from the five tents and takes them on the morning rounds feeding the sheep, pigs, and hens and collecting eggs. There’s marshmallow roasting in the evenings by the common campfire, and there’s a lot of wilderness to explore for the kids below the tents. Dan’s daughters were fantastic at making our kids feel excited about the place and played with them whenever they were free.

The location is great both for seeing castles and touring along the coast. We had an unusually dry and hot week and made use of the sandy beaches. There are several old steam railways in the region as well.

Dan made sure we had everything we needed, and was always around for advice or help if we needed it. This is a rare find of a place, completely independently run, and they are doing a marvelous job. Book a stay if you can.

What a wonderful 5 nights spent at C&C. Our family stayed in a beautiful tent, the amazing wood burner kept us warm and we couldn't get through the endless supply of wood. Dan & Ellie are great hosts and we would highly recommend this hidden away gem near Lampeter. We will be back!

We've been to C&C for 2 years in a row now, and cannot wait to book again for next year! Ellie and Dan are the perfect hosts to this beautiful little glamping site tucked away in a quiet corner of South Wales. Cannot recommend enough!

Wow! This word was said a lot throughout our stay. Ellie and Dan have done a fantastic job with the safari tents, it really is a home from home. We are keen campers but this has made us think twice about ever putting up our own tent again. Just to give you an idea of what you may find: The beds are beautiful to look at and are so comfortable, the bed linen felt like something you would find in a 5* hotel, a flushing toilet in the tent, running water, lovely wood burning stove, fully kitted out kitchen and hot showers in a nearby cabin. All of this set in a stunning, quiet place where you can find free range chickens and sheep, a friendly cat and happy dog. You are able to help feed the animals and there are unique touches like a very professional bug hunting kit (upon request) which kept our kids entertained for hours. We felt the children were very safe exploring the magnificent grounds as they keep cars away from public areas. To be honest, we would only see the children occasionally running from one side of the field to the other as they were making dens, bug hunting, climbing trees, rolling down hills and running around, which meant they slept well and were very content. Happy children = happy parents.

Ellie, Dan, Lyra and Isis are a lovely family that welcome you but give you the freedom to enjoy your holiday.

We also visited a nearby seaside town called Aberaeron. We spent a long time climbing rocks, finding shells, taking in the views and went for a nice lunch in The Hive.

We will not hesitate to book again and will be recommending it to all friends and family.

We have just had the most relaxing stay in the cottage which was clean, cosy and had everything we needed.Dan and Ellie are the most wonderful hosts, nothing is to much trouble and their lovey little daughters even brought us fresh eggs that they had picked specially for us! They were delicious for our breakfast! Stargazing in the hot tub was a highlight and the views are breathtaking!
This was our first trip to Wales and we will most definitely return to stay here. We want to try out the glamping there aswell as it looks fantastic!

A fantastic week full of simple pleasures. A log burning stove, hot tub, fresh air, opportunity to join Dan (amazing host) to feed the animals. Fresh free range organic eggs. Our children chose to turn off their phones and go outside building dens. Plenty to keep you busy nearby.
