Absolutely wonderful overnight stay (13/1/24) in "The Pigsty" room at the Farmyard Inn. Great warm room with lovely en-suite. Beds comfortable and all towels, tea, coffee etc all provided. Our dog loved it as did we. Superb meal in the Pub itself on Saturday evening. Beautiful generous food all really well cooked and presented. The landlords were super friendly and extremely welcoming. Would highly recommend and would stay and eat again without doubt. Thanks.

We stayed over in our campervan. We were made very welcome by the landlord and landlady, such a very friendly couple. We enjoyed a beautiful meal, in which my husband said it was the best fish that he had ever had. Reasonable priced for food and drinks. Would highly recommend. Situated in a quaint country village. If we are ever travelling back through this area, then we will definitely be returning.

Absolutely lovely, small village pub with a lively open fire. Started coming here after playing Airsoft nearby, the owners / staff are very welcoming. Lovely pint. The locals are also friendly and welcoming. We all look forward to going for a drink there now.

Joe and Sammy were the epitome of fantastic hosts! Our dining experience at their place was absolutely delightful. The food was not only delicious but served piping hot and in generous portions, which made it great value for money. We enjoyed our meals so much that we couldn't resist returning for a second visit, relishing both their starters and mains. On a busy Saturday, they even went out of their way to squeeze us in, despite being fully booked and having a Halloween event later that evening. Their kindness and flexibility left us sincerely grateful, and we were far from disappointed. A big thank you to Joe and Sammy for making our dining experiences truly special!

Ate here on Wednesday last week. (11/10) The very nice waitress explained, just started a new menu, that evening , the beef blade was fantastic, service excellent. We find it helps to book, local pubs need support. It was so good we booked to go back.

Came here for dinner. It’s under new management and she is lovely and made us feel so welcome :)
The highland burger was honestly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had and would recommend to anyone who likes haggis.
Very sad that it’s not our local

Myself and my girlfriend turned up just after they had just stopped serving food, but Louise the new owner very kindly accommodated us after a quick word with the chef. Very friendly atmosphere with local people happy to recommend places to visit and where to get a good breakfast! Thank you to Theresa the chef as the food was delicious.

Really friendly place to stop for a drink or two. Lovely cosy pub, great for feeling like a local while on holiday. The landlord Louise was very welcoming. The food looks good so will definitely be back. Good selection of real ales on tap. Children are welcome. Part of greene King so good food menu looks reasonable. X

We had a lovely evening at the Farmyard Inn. It’s really cosy - a proper country pub - and the owner and all the staff are really friendly and welcoming. The food was yummy with very generous portions. Would definitely go back!

We stayed in our campervan in the carpark recently as we must say how impressed we were with the pub, the staff and the impeccable quality of the food.

Stumbled on this little gem on a pub stopover site , it doesn’t have facilities for campervans but the carpark for an evening stay is ample and quiet .

5 minutes down the lane is a walk to a lovely wild swimming river site which has been cleaned simply for this reason, so people can swim !

We will be back again 100% !

Actually planned to go to a different pub. It was closed when posted open for 2nd time.
Due to former already ate but the beer I had here was very nice and reasonably priced.
Great service. Friendly staff.

We were a part of seven and we had vegans, vegetarians, meat eaters and everyone was satisfied with the choices offered. We ordered and we did not have to wait long for the meals to be served. The food was cooked excellently and the portions were large enough to satisfy everyone’s appetite.
The food tasted excellent and no one in our small party was disappointed. Would certainly be going again. Top marks to the staff nothing was to much trouble.

Party from Rotherham.
