One of my favourite village in Peak District.
Beautiful Shop with small pond in front of it.
Staff is super friendly and they will explain each and every type of cheeses available in their shop.
They have various types of cheeses,jams,honeys,wines,eggs.
The eggs should buy with 1£ or something because that money will go some charity.
I really liked that.

The Hartington Cheese Company is a renowned award-winning business selling mostly fine local cheeses. Wines, local beers and an array of gifts were also stocked in the quaint little store. The only difficulty we had was - too many delicious cheeses to choose from. But the staff were on hand to describe in detail the qualities of every single one. Decisions decisions... We visited Hartington for a long weekend to celebrate a 60th Birthday - and the kings coronation!

We visited the cheese shop and absolutely loved the cheeses we bought and the service we were offered!

The ladies here really know their stuff and we cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Great selection of original and speciality cheeses including charcoal header and sticky bishop. Good selection of matching condimonts and beers.

I love this shop, when visiting the Peak District I try to make a point to pop in on my way home. They have such a wide variety of cheeses which are absolutely delicious. I highly recommend that if you get the chance to pop then do it you will not regret it.
Staff were not only really friendly but also really knowledgeable about all the different cheeses and what they would go well with.

Fantastic selection of local cheeses and some from regional producers across the country. The selection of crafted UK produce includes pickles, wines, liqueurs, and crackers. I recommend Hartington White, Dovedale Blue, and my favourite Hartington Bomber.

Not often I post reviews of shops.....but this cheese shop is brilliant. So much impressive, varied impressively local cheese. Great blues and crumbly whites. Bought a selection and they are all excellent. Dovedale blue 💙 xx

Brilliant, only shop I know that stocks Bowman's cinnamon cheese, worth selling your kidneys for, plus all sorts of locally made cheeses and other products,
The staff are so helpful and there doesn't seem to be anything they don't know about the area
The village itself is a must, walkers, eaters and shoppers, plenty of room for you

This is the best cheese I've ever tasted ! Also they're stocking wine made locally at Swadlincote and we tried a red which was really good.
