Millies Tea Rooms, Chocolatier and Bed & Breakfast

Just arrived home from a 2 night stay at Millie’s, we will definitely be returning. We had 2 rooms and both were beautiful, light and airy. All rooms and facilities including the coffee shop were spotlessly clean. Beds were really comfortable.
The food, drinks and chocolate from the coffee shop were the best I’ve had. If I could give it more than 5 stars I certainly would.
Rukiya, the owner couldn’t do enough for us, all staff were kind and helpful especially making sure we knew all of the local landmarks and places to explore, it’s a perfect location if your looking to explore the peaks and the surrounding villages.

Visited the tea rooms around lunchtime. We had one full english breakfast (which wasn’t finished as it was a decent sized portion) and one Maya’s special which I polished off. A couple of mocktails and hot drinks. Lovely food, great location, super ambiance and the service was outstanding. Both the ‘waitress’ and the owner could not have been nicer and more helpful. Excellent visit and will certainly return. Note: tea rooms only open at weekends

Came to the Peak for a few days hiking and spent one night at Millie’s. Twin room is well equipt, bright, airy with comfy beds. Location is wonderful, in the centre of Hayfield near to pubs, shops and hiking routes.
Rukiya made the stay special, she is a warm friendly person who goes the extra mile. The award winning breakfast is FANTASTIC and it’s worth visiting just for that.
Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Hayfield.

Found Millie’s while looking for breakfast - not your typical breakfast but oh my it was delicious (so much so we returned for afternoon coffee and cake - which were equally delicious). Dog friendly (mine was supplied with dog biscuits). Super friendly staff. I couldn’t recommend this enough

We didn’t stay here but popped in for a drink . What a fantastic venue. The home made cakes were sublime( scone and lotus cake) and the home made chai was immense and 100% authentic. I can’t wait to go back. Brilliant lunch menu. Dog friendly too so all in all a winner

Booked a room for 2 nights and it was fantastic! The room, location, service and food was all great. Rukiya was a great host and looked after us. It was all the little details that made this visit really special. Rukiya and the team were all very kind to us and catered to all our needs. They sent us suggestions in advance which helped us plan out our trip. The afternoon tea is a must try! Everything was homemade from the delicious sandwiches to the mouthwatering scones. Can't wait to come back!

Visited Millies at the end of September and although it poured down the host was amazing. Breakfast was amazing. The experience was also amazing. Recommend for a quick getaway in a very quiet village but lots to do around.

Great place for breakfast (also Halal). I had something called Kaya’s special and it was absolutely amazing. Finished it to the last bite. Now I understand how they were entered into the finalist for ‘breakfast & brunch award’

Just returned from Millies yesterday evening, had such an amazing time. The room was so lovely, clean and comfortable. The food was amazing and the chocolates too! Rukiya provided an amazing service, will definitely be coming back again! Highly recommend! Thank you.

I came here when visiting a friend, and we stopped for tea and cake. The service was really friendly and the cake was AMAZING! we had lemon drizzle, and the portion size was very generous and the chocolates were delicious too 😋

Excellent spot for tea before / after a hike! Sandwiches were made dairy free / veggie just for me which were delicious! Everything is halal and decor & customer service on point! Highly recommend

Amazing coffee, cakes and service. We particularly enjoyed the chocolate scones which were very unique and tasted greater than they sound!

Brilliant little find for breakfast on our cycling trip. Very unassuming tea room with a fantastic menu with English and Indian options. I had masala eggs and chickpea curry washed down with chai - all incredible. Very friendly service - highly recommended

We had the pleasure of staying for a couple of nights at Millies and we enjoyed every second of our time with Ruki and the team and were very sad to leave.

She was extremely hospitable, accommodating and friendly.

The breakfasts were really good and the whole experience at her B&B was impeccable.

She was helpful and had very sound knowledge of the local area and surrounding Peak District.

We will definitely be visiting again and can’t wait!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! WOW what can I say.... beautiful tearoom near a beautiful scenic location and views amazing walks near by, I made a last minute dairy free order and it was made to absolute perfection in a short space of time the staff were super polite kind accommodating attentive to our every needs ... now let's talk about the food...
Wow... out of this world the best food i have EVER tasted! Made to perfection so much detail in presentation and taste and flavour just divine everything is fresh made by millies tea room themselves absolutely tasty i could go on forever highly recommend and what is more amazing is it is Halal! Wow what a bonus for muslims was even able to pray my prayers this is a gem in the peak district you HAVE to go! You will not regret it!

I travelled to Millies for a few days away, and absolutely loved the experience. From start to finish the service was very professional and friendly. The breakfast was made to perfection very fresh and generous portions. The room we stayed in was very clean and had everything we needed.
The host was lovley, we enjoyed her company she was really helpful with all the information regarding the hikes and other attractions in the area. Last but not least we decided to book in for the chocolate masterclass, this was such a great experience we learnt lots about chocolate and got to experiment with a range of different flavours and take lots of chocolate home! Overall I loved the experience and would definitely go back!!
