Innkeeper's Collection Castleton, Peak District

The Castle’s atmosphere was warm, friendly and welcoming. Lovely decor and open fires were very welcome on a cold day. A good selection of beer on tap and good food options. The vegetarian breakfast was really tasty and well crafted. Friendly and helpful staff.

The staff at reception were great and the food and beer selection was very nice. Cannot beat the location. Nice big rooms that felt newly decorated and new bathroom facilities. Overall very comfortable stay and would return absolutely

Atmosphere was warm & cosy, homely feel to the place. The staff were amazing and accommodating with our needs. Food was stunning. Our room was incredibly large, very clean , floor was uneven but this is not a complaint, it just added to the quirkiness of the place. Would definitely return. Thank you guys for the R&R we set out to enjoy

Really loved our short stay here and the food in the restaurant was spot on.

The view of Mam Tor from the bedroom window was a nice surprise.

The kids were more than happy with the bed in the family room but were dissapointed that they didn't see any ghosts 😂.

Recommended as a good spot for visiting Castleton.

We thought the rooms (and our family had 5 in total) were fabulous. Traditional, clean, comfy, large and warm. The staff were amazing, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Thank you for making our dad's birthday special.

The only negative (and there's nothing you can do about it) was parking. The pub carpark is small and with all the tourism, the public carparks were full.

Loved the location, the room had a view of the castle! Large, warm room. Had lunch there and also breakfast - both of which were amazing and lovely vegan options. Helpful staff.

Room was lovely and wonderful old feeling. Evidence of previous leaks tho detracted from a feeling of luxury and meant the price tag felt a bit high. Would still recommend.

Friendly welcome from staff, who were extremely busy.

Room was clean, bed comfortable. Lighting in the room could have been better and the toiletries in the bathroom could have been better placed when using the bath.

We had an evening meal and breakfast with you and the food was lovely.

Beautiful pub, so much character, far more nicely decorated than any other pub in Castleton. It has lots of lovely leather studded armchairs, open fires and warm colours. Perfect for winter. The staff were super helpful and friendly and the food was very good. Our room was in the annexe, very comfortable beds and very smart bathroom. Also nice and quiet.

Great room, fantastic location, food was delicious and the staff couldn't be more helpful. The pie of the day with the triple cooked chips are highly recommended! Thanks for a great stay!

Large room, very comfy bed, great shower. Only thing is you get woken up very early by the church bells that chime every 15 minutes. Lovely to hear, but not at 7am or 10pm. Would stay again, just make sure you don't want a lay in.

Excellent accommodation, good selection of food and wine. Great pub atmosphere, food was excellent. Staff friendly and informative on menu and also the surrounding area.

The room was amazing, your staff are very helpful and friendly, the pub is the best pub I’ve been to! The food was superb, the best steak I’ve ever had and a nice choice of beers and ales. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere!

Lovely pub/hotel with great character and very friendly staff. Room was really nice and beds were comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was very good. Would definitely stay again.

Can't find fault with anything about our stay in all honesty. We also stayed for 1 night last December and found the staff to be efficient, polite & very friendly. It's a great hotel and food is delicious too - love it!!

Really nice stay, staff were great and helpful. Only issue we had was the upstairs room, floor boards creaking everytime there was movement above.

We stayed at the castle at Castleton, the reception staff were very freindly , the room was beautiful, evening meal in the dar was excellent, and breakfast was wonderful, can’t wait for our next visit .
