You can find many unique shaped rocks here. Kids enjoyed them with their imaginations.

Reached here after 1 hour 45 minutes walk starting from Jacob’s Ladder.

From here on a clear day you can see the city of Manchester.

A great walk to the trig point, many different trails to take and lots of unique rock formations to investigate. Ensure you wear warm clothing as winds can get strong through the valleys…beautiful views to be seen and lots of fresh clean air if you want time away from the city.

I climbed this peak over the weekend starting from Hayfield. Whilst it is a relatively small mountain it is still nevertheless a challenging climb. We climbed via a reservoir that was close to empty which is quite worrying especially since there is no rain in the long term forecast. Climbing mountains is part of what makes me me. The sense of achievement felt upon reaching the top is amazing!
The image of the suspicious liquid in my water bottle is water after passing through my survival filter. The discolouration is down to the low levels of water available this increasing the concentration of peat in it. It is certainly an acquired taste. Someone needs to do a rain dance!

At 633m Kinder Low is only 3 meters shy of the highest point in the Peak District: Kinder Scout. Many trails go here from every direction. You have great views across the peak district and of Manchester from here. The walks up are moderate just make sure you are aware of the weather forecast and dress appropriately. Most definitely worthy of a visit.

Beautiful as always. Highly recommend this trek. Can be boggy at the top on some parts on after rainy days.

Beautiful, amazing views!! I love Kinder Low 💗 Did a 10 miler today. Headed towards Kinder Downfall after we stopped at KL, and back across towards Edale. Crackin weather too!

I've climbed Snowdon and to Kinder Low (it's three metres lower at the trig point than the peak of Kinder Scout, which I couldn't find) and the Kinder Low walk was far more challenging. Psychologically it's not straight up and down, more up, down, round, flat. It also requires more planning and a proper route mapped out. There are people around but it's not super busy. I did find the footpaths were mostly well marked out, but it's easy to stray off at some points. We did this with our two kids, six and 11 and they found Snowdon easier despite it being nearly double the height.
The other thing to be aware of is the wind and exposed sections. It can get very, very windy along some of the craggy, rocky bits. Take a woolly hat and layers. It's also quite peaty and boggy so good shoes are a necessity.
It's absolutely stunning and a great achievement to make it to the top.
We walked from Hayfield in a loop to Kinder Low and back via Edale Cross.

Good hike and plenty of photo opportunities along the Penine Way up to Kinder Low Trig point.
Lots of steep climbs but enough places to take a breather, or have your lunch.

One of the best hikes I have ever experienced this year. The most thrilling and adventurous thing throughout my hiking was the trails. It's not that much hard but with the heavy rain on that period it makes us a bit slower to finish the journey a little bit late. The view points are beautiful. I advise people to keep their plastic waste along with them. Overall I'm highly satisfied with the spot

Always a go to place for trail hike. Neither too easy, nor too tough. Just about right with exceptional scenes

Beautiful views, we went on a clear, sunny day and could see for miles but would imagine its totally different in low cloud or bad weather. The walk up from jacobs ladder is steep but well worth the view, definitely one I'll be doing more often 🥾⛰🚶‍♀

Did my first hike here in winter, in the fog and snow. Was very interesting, but had to be careful not to get lost.

Real sense of achievement as my wife and myself both 66 years old climbed Jacobs Ladder to this point taking in breathtaking views.
If you're in this area definitely give it a go it is well worth the effort.
