An excellent bakery found on the main road through Castleton, just past the S bend.
Inside there are confectionery items , some very unusual ones too.
A section of chocolates, and fresh cakes.
Behind the counter you will find a massive board with choices on for baguettes to take away.
It's one of the biggest selections I've ever seen.
They were made within 5 minutes and were very tasty !!
If this place is busy, this is the reason why.
Its very popular for a reason !!

Great value place to grab some food. We got several sandwiches on freshly made rolls and they were excellent, quality ingredients at a very reasonable price. Will be going back there to try more of their sandwich options next time we visit Castleton.

Cute little shop with tons to snack on as well as gifts. Cold packages sandwiches and a variety of drinks on shelves. They even have a working bakery that brings out fresh pasty’s, sausage rolls and more. A good variety of sweets, cakes, chocolates, and even liquor. Stopped in here because we were a little hungry and were surprised at home much was inside this little store. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Picked up two Pasty’s and two slices of cake...absolutely delicious!

Make a point of calling here! Ok, the prices of bakery goods are tourist prices but WOW that pork pie was worth every penny. Haven't had one of those since I lived in Yorkshire! Delicious! Very pleasant lady served and had a bit of a laugh. Will defo go again.

Labelled the ‘best Bakewells in the world’ and didn’t disappoint. But credit to the Bakewell slices too. There’s an argument to be made that they’re the best in the world as well but the owner was being too modest.

We bought beetroot falafel sandwiches from here before heading out for a cycle. They were excellent!

The Sausage Rolls were nice but the Bakewell tarts were even better...Will be stopping there again...top scran

Called in here this morning after a 5 mile snowy walk ,a really nice shop , a good coffee and a massive breakfast baguette,I'll be back 👍

I stopped here on my travels for a sandwich as they made them to take away. The sandwich board has a large selection and not your usual sandwich options. I opted for no 20 from the pastrami options on a granary baguette, and it was delicious. Shame. I am not local as I would go back more often. The wait time was short, so credit to the staff for a good service. Other local products are available with various sweets and sweet treats. It's worth popping in if you are visiting Castleton.

Bought some freshly made baguettes from here and they didn't disappoint! Really good selection and friendly staff.

Terrific. I had the no. 24 baguette (bacon, brie, red onion and onion chutney) and it was perfect. The bread was excellent, the bacon perfectly cooked, and just the right amount of everything. I also bought a loaf to take home that was lovely.

And the staff were friendly. Looking forward to going back.

On my recent motorbike trip I stopped for some food here.
The staff went out of their way to help me. I only asked to cut the foil of the cheese I bought, so I can eat it outside ( travel allowed but most shops still closed due to COVID), and I got my cheese sliced, my bread cut and buttered.
What a lovely gesture from the two ladies working there!
I will stop every time from now on when around here.

Magic!!! First time buying the baguettes from here. Absolutely delicious! Good value and tasty. The bread was perfect, crispy on the outside but soft and fresh on the inside. We had pastrami on one and bacon & egg ( a 19 and a 25😊).
Loved the choices of other cakes, drinks and cheeses.
Go here; you won’t regret it.

Thankfully, I don't live too close to this shop because I'd probably spend a lot of money in there & rapidly gain weight.

Definitely hands down the best cheese topped Branston pickle pork pie I've eaten & I can't wait to go back for more .

Called in when I was walking to Hope Village Beer Festival needed a snack before the beers. Grate selection of hot food I had a Cornish pasty £1:95 good value and would recommend very tasty. As was the beers🍻

Really good bread, freshly baked, and mouthwatering hot pies. Perfect for making a packed lunch to take out on the hills around Castleton. Don't hang around though, they sell out quickly!
