Wandered in on a grey Sunday afternoon not expecting too much, and maybe not even expecting there to be any space!

We sat outside next to the river which was really nice.

Surprisingly good set of vegan options including burger and salad and the Beetroot Wellington (pictured) as a vegan roast option.

Good selection of beers too. Sadly too full for pudding

Service was lovely, our server was bubbly and attentive. Food was good! Only thing is the pastry on the vegan apple pie wasn’t very good but overall a nice meal.

A real bonus! Managed to find a space in the adjacent car park and visited on a Tuesday afternoon for a cup of tea. Freshly brewed and nicely served, sitting in the outdoor seating area next to the river in the sunshine. Inside is very atmospheric with momentos of a couple of centuries displayed on the walls. Clean, nice place and will visit again for a meal next time.

Just to begin with: the food was absolutely stunning!

We had the Butternut Squash Ravioli and the roasted beetroot and it was absolutely amazing. By far the best food we had on our 3 week journey through the UK. I really liked that the staffs asked for allgerys, I wasn’t used to such service.

You shouldn’t expect someone to come to your table and take your order, he have to order at the bar, but it’s all written on big signs soo..
A great add on is the location and the beautiful view on the river.

Really lovely place on the Quay in Wareham, right on the water. Very friendly staff and a lovely light lunch after a morning exploring the Purbeck Isle

The Old Granary Pub is a delightful spot in Wareham with a charming ambiance and exceptional service. The menu offers a fantastic selection of drinks, each more delicious than the last. The pub's setting by the river adds a tranquil and picturesque touch to the drinking experience. It’s the perfect place for a cozy meal or a relaxed drink with friends. A true gem! Will be returning one day to try the food!

Went here for a "work" social. Nice menu, good food. Although it's not a naturally accessible place, the staff are fantastic at ensuring everyone can enjoy the place.
On a nice day, there is also outdoor seating.
The main thing that stopped me giving the food 5 stars was that the beetroot Wellington didn't really taste like beetroot! Lemon tart was lovely, though.

Wow what a difference in two years as my last review reflected the poor service but with a change in management the service, the food is just fantastic exactly how it should be. The food is great and plenty of choice for vegans and vegetarians and we love the butternut squash ravioli. My partner and we have come back many times since last Autumn 2023 and I’m so happy as it’s definitely my favourite place to eat especially as I’m local

A really pleasant visit. Cosey warm atmosphere as soon as you walk in, pleasant staff. It’s not the biggest menu but the food was absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be back again soon. Well worth a visit.

We didn't have a reservation for lunch but were seated quickly. Food was very nice and the service was excellent. Children get a stickers and things to draw on/with. The carpark was busy and you have to pay.

We are local and were looking for a nice place to sit with a drink and watch the spring sun set. We hadn't been to Wareham Quay in a while and thought we'd give it a try. We parked directly outside and found a lovely table outside, overlooking the river. We ordered a few bar snacks and a few drinks. Service was very good and speed of service was excellent. Overall the visit was excellent and we have already made plans to return in the near future.

Very good meal, ate upstairs with a super view over the river. Very Covid secure with menus tucked under the glass tables. Very chilled vibe even on a Bank Holiday One way in and out. Card payment only. Definitely recommend

Great food, drink and service just a couple of steps away from the quayside at Wareham, and on the day we went, Saturday, the small but bustling market. Our delightful waitress sported a most excellent octopus tattoo up her left arm, indicating the slightly quirky nature that lies just beneath the more obvious surface appearance of a standard pub with food. Comfortable in more ways than one, could easily have lost the entire afternoon there.

What a lovely experience. The place is full of history and in spectacular surroundings, overlooking the River Frome. We only had afternoon tea but the service and quality was superb.

Lovely outside seating on a beautiful day. Good food and fast service! Friendly staff and lots of Covid measures in place. Would like seat cushions on outside seating just to make us a bit more comfortable. Definitely would visit again!

Lovely pub in the historic town of Wareham. Outdoor seating on the Quay with a heated upstairs outdoor dining area overlooking the river. Meals are quite pricey but as always you have to pay for the location. Can just purchase drinks. Toilets. Public pay and display car park on the Quay ... £1.50 for 2 hours April to October so not too bad.
