Longleat Hedge Maze

Another absolutely fantastic display, which really gets everyone in the festive mood. Looking forward to next year already!

Went for our daughters 6th birthday. The weather was amazing for January we were very lucky which made the day even more special. Cannot believe I've never been before. The festival of light was amazing and we will definitely be heading back soon.

We found the correct way in about 30 minutes😌, but I could see how you can get lost as its massive!
Great fun, give it a go.

however the vantage point "finish line" is near the exit so most of the maze is left undiscovered and empty

also path is very muddy following rainfall - especially towards the vantage point

At longleat they are doing Festival of Light till 8th January, it is beautiful and amazing really lovely to walk around in the theme of Roald Dahl books and the Lanterns lit up are so good, and the singing light up Christmas tree

Festival of light at Longleat was absolutely brilliant, we went into the safari for the day and then spent the evening in the grounds looking at all the amazing Roald Dahl themed areas.

Highly recommended.. this is the second time we've been to their festival of light (last time it was Greek mythology and that was ah maze ing!)

Managed to find the right path in just under 25 minutes! 🙂 Found the correct way out right away. Great entertainment! 🤩 Happy to return here and recommend it! Thank you 🙂

Great day out with the kids with plenty of things to keep them occupied and enjoyed the Christmas lights and displays

Love this place, always a good day out. And now the kids are back to school, it is possible to get on the boat and train etc.

The hedge maze only took us about 15 mins but normally it takes 45mins. Here is a video of the start but we made it to the tower! This is must do if you are at Safari Park.

The hedge maze is great ! So well designed it's possible to spend ages walking round it. There is a sign up saying the average time on the maze is 45 minutes. Me and the boss were here years ago and thought it would be good to bring the kids to Longleat for the day.

Unfortunately my kids have a homing pigeon sense of direction and we were out in under 8 minutes !!!! 😡

It's really fun to spend some time circle around and find your way out.

Went with granddaughter and family as part of Longleat visit. Great fun, says about 40 minutes to find your way through, but didn't take that long. Huge maze though, with loads of paths to follow, which you can see from the finish vantage point. Wouldn't start with not long to closing time, just to be sure!!

In the current climate there's still a good days worth of activities to do. Most of the indoor attractions are still closed, but we were able to easily and to keep our two little ones entertained for a day. Started with the Safari which takes around two hours, then have done lunch (outside) and finish the afternoon of with a boat and train ride.

Most people will exit through the escape hatch right by the entrance. Only the brave will attempt the maze in its entirety. They will look the goat in the eye and know they might never return home. Still walking around in circles, they want freedom but won't be able to find it that easily. From afar on higher ground, they will see the ones who entered before them sneering at the attempted escape plans your mind will have you believe in.

Near the end you will come across hints from the ones who entered before you. Whether you listen or not the end is still further away than you would hope. When you finally make it out, you will breathe easy and rejoice only to conclude that the trip you just made you cannot retrace.

Warning you can get lost in this maze its brilliant!

Fab maze, my little boy loved it and proved a challenge for us all. Big people included!
