Abberley Ridge

Great circular walk. Good for dogs with lots of of lead. Short bits on road only. Quite steep in sections

Steep walk up to the ridgeway. I just followed the Worcestershire Way signs. In the center of the ridge is a great bench to admire the view. You won't want to leave the birdsong or the view.

Beautiful winter walk. Parked in the village and followed the signs up to the ridge. From there the trail was clear as bf the view’s between the trees extended for many miles.

Beautiful woodland, great short but steep walks. The paths are very clear. There's an absolute abundance of wildlife with fantastic views all around

Beautiful circular walk over Abberley, Walsgrove and Woodbury hills, starting and finishing at Great Whitley

Did this same hike twice. Once in spring and again in the autumn. Great scenery not too far from Birmingham. Word of warning some paths were overgrown with nettles and bramble on the Autumn trip. Not clever to ware shorts!

Living looking at Abberley Hill, hardly surprising that I wandered up and along the ridge often. Delightful in bluebell season.
There is limited car parking at the top of Wynniatts Way on the west end where access is easier.
It is only a shortish walk to the Flagstaff Trig and a delightful view point with bench just beyond.
I always enjoy looking across to the Teme Valley, admiring Woodbury and Walsgrove Hills, not forgetting looking down on Abberley Hall clock tower.
The ridge walk is about a mile in distance with teasing glimpses of views mostly to the north. The decent is very steep at Shavers End.
