Maen Llwyd Holiday Cottage

Everything you could wish for in a holiday home!

Stayed in this amazing Cottage for 2 weeks whilst working locally. I cannot recommend this place enough. High Quality furnishings, everything you would need and more is provided. A fantastic location, a pub within a 2 minute walk. Great takeaways within 10 minutes drive. Views from the Cottage are simply breathtaking. It’s definitely 10/10 for me, and I will be back there with work and family.

Excellent cottage, this is the 2nd time we've stayed which is indicative that everything is perfect. The cottage is exceptionally clean, modern, warm and well provisioned. There is ample room with Tesco supermarket close by and the pub 100 metres away. An enjoyable stay in a great cottage

We stayed for a weekend and didn't want to leave! Beautifully decorated to a high standard with everything you could need. It truly is an amazing cottage and superbly comfortable. Given the times we are in the place is spotless and fautless. We can't wait to go back. The hosts are also lovely.

We had a great family reunion at Maen Llwyd. The house was immaculate and extremely well equipped with everything we needed, including the little extras which we found so welcoming - tea/coffee/hot chocolate, biscuits and milk in the fridge (which was a good size with a separate freezer in the utility). Huw came round to welcome us after we had arrived and was very friendly and a useful source of knowledge for things to do in the area. There was plenty of space for the family, which included a 3 year old and a 10 month old - the cot and high chair were set up and ready. There were comfortable beds, squeaky clean bathrooms and kitchen and plenty of seating in the lounge, plus a lovely big dining table in the kitchen. The swing and slide were well utilised by the 3 year old, as was the large grassed area (the garden was a safe enclosed area) with plenty of seating for the adults! Beautiful views from the house and garden, including red kites and swallows to spot too - probably more but we're no experts on birds! We did notice some noise from the nearby road but it didn't spoil our enjoyment of the weekend. The house has been well looked after and we would highly recommend a stay here.

Stayed here for two nights last weekend, and honestly cannot fault the place. The holiday cottage was decorated and finished to an impeccably high standard. Each room was beautifully furnished, and everything was cleaned immaculately. The cottage is situated in a quiet area with fantastic views of Mid Wales, but there are still lots of towns and a supermarket just a short drive down the road. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, and asked us if there was anything we needed. The kitchen and entire house was well equipped with everything we needed and nothing missing at all. There is also access to a gym, and it has appliances such as a dishwasher and washing machine with makes holidays a little more easier. Also fab Wi-fi signal and Sky TV - not like these were needed as we were too busy exploring Elan Valley.

Lots of outdoor space and fenced in areas so it’s safe for children to play etc. Lovely pub up the road for food, and spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, all nicely decorated.

Wonderful, clean and spacious family accommodation. Plenty of room for our families to come together and enjoy our holiday in mid-Wales. The property was modern, well equipped and nicely furnished. Plenty of outside space for the children to play in the garden area. All we needed for a relaxing and memorable week. Would definitely recommend.

We had an excellent week at Main Lloyd. It sleeps 8, but there were just 5 of us. The property is beautifully equipped and maintained and was an excellent base for exploring the stunning Welsh countryside.

Been to Maen Llwyd five times already and we'll keep going back. Huw is a fantastic host, the house is always very clean and cosy, the kitchen is well equipped and it's in a beautiful, peaceful location. What more could you ask for? A Tesco superstore a few minutes down the road, you say? No problem, there's one of those too.

Brilliant location to explore all that Mid Wales has to offer. The house is well equipped and v clean and the hosts are lovely. We will be back !
