Wonderful service recently bought 2 leather weekend bags, items my husband had been anchoring after for a while, and have just used on a weekend away they were perfect, an excellent addition, to our travel items. Not only do they look incredible but were also extremely practical, well worth the monies, the retailer was very knowledgeable friendly. This family run business is bespoke on so many levels well worth a visit highly recommend.

What a lovely family business. Excellent customer service and top quality products. So helpful. Went over & above to help me choose a great suit and matching/ suitable shoes & shirt which fits perfectly. Would highly recommend for clothing & shoes for all seasons. Smart and casual available. Great advice re matching clothing & shoes and fast ordering service and alterations if needed . Will definitely shop here regularly for my clothing & shoes.
Always assumed the shop was for outdoor clothing & for older generation. How wrong I was. Check them out for quality all season clothing and footwear for all ages.
So overall great . A must visit. Would highly recommend.

I was looking for a new leather jacket, had never been in this shop before, but was glad I did.
The gentlemen who worked there was very helpful and patient. He found me a beautiful jacket which fitted wonderfully, properly tailored for a women.

Visited today, 10 January. I had been looking for a top quality Harris Tweed blazer. Bryan was able to help me understand the difference in quality and pricing of the blazers/jackets he's got on offer. Luck was with me as I was able to find just the right HT blazer that fits as though it was made for me AND a wool/cashmere overcoat I've been wanting for some time. Bryan and Vanessa couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant. I'll definitely be back and will do my best to spread the word. On my 'soap box' now... it's common we bemoan the hollowing out of our city centers, empty shop fronts where once we could find honest, trustworthy traders. Charles Headley have been in business 40 odd years, knowledgeable, honest, helpful, impressive range of stock, grateful for our business. Please stop by and consider buying from them rather than making a purchase online.

Had a lovely hat, I think it's a federa style, bought me for Christmas the style and quality of it is very good, unfortunately it was too big. Was able to exchange it with no problem. Very good service and very pleased with my new hat 🤠. I have also a lovely Harris tweed jacket and a trilby style hat from the same shop which are great and comfortable
always excellent service 👍.

Bryan has made my Christmas, yesterday he helped me to design the leather coat that I had been searching for, for years…
It won’t be ready until February but I am so looking forward to it!

I ordered a leather jacket, it arrived quickly but when I tried it on it was a bit small. Ordinarily that would be that but no, not at Charles Hedley, they ordered me a new one in the next size up at no extra cost.

Had a gorgeous tweed bag as a gift with a purse. Purse was a bit big for my needs, although very lovely. Explained my dilemma and shop happily swopped the purse for a different one. Great staff and customer service. Chesterfield needs more shops like this!!! Thankyou ☺ xx

Visited yesterday looking for birthday gifts- loved what was on offer- beautiful bags/ coats/jackets/accessories.
Great range of stock and some gorgeous colours. Found a pair of proper lined leather gloves and matching purse.
Great value for such well made items.
Proprietor was very helpful and allowed us time to look.

We would recommend whoever visits there is plenty to choose from as well as quick and simple ordering of items or sizes not available.

Finding a luxury pre loved item can be a journey fraught with hazards along the way from authenticity to the actual quality all which can take the shine off your purchase. Not forgetting a huge amount of trust.

I have been looking for a Tweed jacket and had an idea of the style I wanted, however the cost was way outside my price range as I’m retired. Bryan understood what I was looking for and picked a jacket that I could afford and it fitted perfectly. It may not be a expensive Tweed but it certainly suits me!
