The New Cross Surgery

I saw the low reviews on this surgery so felt I had to leave a reviews and give 5 star it deserves. I moved here from another local surgery a few years ago after never being able to get an appointment. I have to say I am so impressed with the service. Ask my GP is a brilliant tool when sometimes you just need to ask a question or have some reassurance. This way you aren't clogging up the phone lines of someone with a need much greater. I have never had any issues getting an appointment, and all the staff have been friendly and helpful. OK the surgery is extremely outdated and in need of an upgrade but other than that I cannot fault them. Thankyou

I have recently had to visit the surgery once or twice a week for the past 3/4 weeks. Although it was just a minor ailment the 5 nurses I saw during that time were very friendly, kind and helpful and I would just like to say thank you to them for treating me so well.

I’ve been using this particular surgery (instead of their other one across the road) and I can’t fault them.
From the receptionists to the nurses and the doctors. Not only have they been very approachable and professional, I’m lucky to be still here with the stuff I’ve been going through. It was mainly due to their proactiveness that got me a good deal healthier. The ask my GP app is very responsive and would use that every time instead of phoning.

This surgery has improved dramatically in the last 12 months I have received an excellent service for both myself and my new baby, online and face to face. The new doctors are so friendly, approachable and helpful. Really happy with this service.

Very friendly staff & Gp's. The app is much better and never had a problem using it, its much better than having to keep trying the phone lines. Being i work shifts & dont frequent the Gp often its great.

This surgery has provided exceptional support and care to an elderly relative. Quick, caring responses and treatment have allayed concerns. We’re very quick to criticise our overburdened NHS but I can only sing it’s praises. Even the receptionists, who mostly get criticised as being hurdles to bypass have been brilliant

Surgery could do with modernizing

The never pick up the phone

Had “emergency” blood tests done yesterday and was advised by my doctor I would get the results today due to them being an emergency. Phoned the surgery at 2pm was told they hadn’t come back yet (fair enough) phoned again at 4 was told they have come back however the doctor hasn’t looked at them yet can you phone back at 6, phoned back at 6 to be told my blood tests haven’t come back?! When I explained I’d already spoken to a receptionist about 2 hours ago she said they have come back just haven’t been looked at by the doctor yet??!! To be told then by the charming receptionist “ok well they haven’t been looked at by the doctor then! Absolute wasters honestly! What a joke! So in other words the doctor CANT BE BOTHERED TO CHECK EMERGENCY BLOOD TESTS!!! So if there is something seriously wrong now you’re happy for your patients to wait all weekend and Monday to be told then on Tuesday?! Good luck to you that’s all I can say because this won’t be dropped this will be taken all the way! Absolutely sick to death of the incompetent staff that work here honestly! The amount of days the surgery is closed for “training days” training for what?! Because you certainly still can’t do you’re jobs properly! Laughable honestly! Incompetent waste of spaces the whole staff team! Using Covid as an excuse to be lazy still it’s boring now.

A practice with no empathy or sympathy. A practice where the receptionists make fun of you or criticise you for following the rules they give you. A practice that lost my results on more than one occassion. A practice where the doctors do not care about their patients and do not take them seriously.

UPDATE 1:
The situation got worse and my health has suffered due to the actions of the people working here. A practice so awful its like they want people to
get anxiety and stress.

They also cancelled an appointment with no permission and didn't tell anyone.

UPDATE 2:
Doctor promised to phone back and hasn't.

UPDATE 3:
They never answer phones and my fathers health is getting worse and worse. They also disconnect phones which I think is illegal.

UPDATE 4:
They sent me a letter from one doctor to another doctor (and not written for me) a random plastic bag and an unfolded box in the mail and when asked what they are for claimed that they didn't know.

UPDATE 5:
They said I was okay when I wasn't.
My condition is now much worse.
They simply don't care about anyone.
