Friendly, knowledgeable and they have some beautiful door handles at fantastic prices. Very well stocked, had everything I needed for internal rebated double doors. Would highly recommend.

Great local hardware store with a surprisingly wide range of good quality tools, hardware and fixings. Not as cheap as B&Q but also not as generic - if you are after a quality file, or door lock, or an M4 thread tap, which the big stores wont carry, this is the place. Guys there are nice and helpful too.

This is the best place in every sense for most DIY needs. Over the years I moved from visiting Homebase to Welford Ironmongers. Quality of power tools, locks, fireworks, screws and much more came on back of good advice from the staff there and never compromised in any way and at lower price than diy chain stores…
