The Wickstead Arms

We've waited three years to manage to get a table in here as it is quite small and only offers walk-ins and is usually full. The Steak and Ale pie did not disappoint at £14.95, a half a pie slice with real cooked chips and peas. Beer battered onion rings were also light and lovely.

The staff were fantastic, two lovely friendly young girls who served us, a credit to the pub. Cask ale selection is also decent in here, the rest of the lager selection is fairly standard such as Madri and Morreti, could benefit from a craft style IPA on tap.

They only serve food at lunch which is a shame as we would happily dine here in an evening. Certainly one of the more affordable pubs in town these days for food and drink.

We had the most amazing roast beef lunches we've ever had in a pub.
The potatoes were really creamy, and the cauliflower cheese was to die for.
They staff are always super friendly and helpful and will bring your drinks to the table so you can enjoy your meal whilst it is hot.

The Wickstead Arms is a gem of a pub right in the heart of Nantwich. It oozes character with its fine selection of real cask ales that you may never have seen before. The food has that home made quality you rarely find these days. Plenty of choice and served piping hot with friendly attentiveness.

If you want a proper pub you don’t need to scour the streets - just head for the Wickstead Arms and you won’t be disappointed.

We called into The Wickstead Arms,on recommendation.So glad we did.We were welcomed in by a very lovely & cheerful,young lady.After ordering our meal,she was so helpful & attentive.We had a really delicious meal too! We will definitely return.

What a Wonderful, and pleasant day we all had.
It was my Wife's Birthday, and we were told In advance about the food, and specifically the Pie's.
We were Not disappointed.
The Steak & Ale pie, was amazing.

Another great meal at the Wickstead arms. It was a hot day, choosing the curried goat wasn't my best decision, nevertheless it was absolutely gorgeous and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Fabulous pub with great service and fantastic food. 😀 Definitely a return visit is in order.

We always have a great meal here when we visit Nantwich, our go to pub for lunch.
Staff are very friendly and helpful plus dogs are welcome in the bar whilst eating.

The best food in Nantwich by far. I regularly go to the Wickstead for food and I’m never disappointed! I would highly recommend the pie and roast dinner! I think good food and service needs to be celebrated! Super affordable! One happy and full tummy customer

Always changing real ales on offer with 4 usually on. Also the food looks absolutely gorgeous with the place on a Sunday very brisk.

Definitely worth a visit.

Friendly staff very welcoming. The food was lovely forgot to take a photo at start but all the plates were cleared. Has a selection of cask ales with plenty of other alcohols available. I would defiantly recommend if you ever in Nantwich.

We enjoyed a very tasty and fairly priced Sunday Lunch in the lounge at the Wickstead Arms today. The welcome and service throughout were fantastic. A cosy and traditional pub decor, with regulars at the bar but just as much welcome for someone new (and with a baby in tow). We hadn’t booked, but luckily there was a table. Gluten free Sunday Roast option. Clean and tidy including the toilets (no official baby change due to limited space, but a mat was available and the floor was clean).

Nice pub, friendly staff and well kept beers. What more do you want. Tried the food today and the Mutton Curry was immense. Massive portion and really tasty curry, great kick. Proper little boozer this place, brilliant craic with friendly locals

The staff are run off their feet but are still very friendly and the food was excellent well worth a visit and you can see by the empty plates excellent

Just enjoyed a slap-up Sunday lunch at the Wickstead Arms during a short visit to Nantwich. Lovely, welcoming place, great food, friendly atmosphere. Had two dogs with us and they were also welcomed in. Good find! Thanks to all concerned.

Only two girls working very hard serving at the bar and bringing food to the tables. Both very courteous and pleasant. Need more staff. Excellent food.

Stopped at this lovely pub for lunch and to watch football, pub does Sky and BT sports.
