Absolutely first-class. Beautiful area, quiet and unspoilt with incredible woodlands nearby. The accommodation was superb, warm and comfortable, with all our needs provided for. Breakfasts were wonderful and were unhurried and enjoyable. All-in-all, an experience I would have no hesitation in recommending and one we hope to repeat before too long! Well done Clare and David!!

We returned to the School House for our second visit and, once again, we loved it. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived and The School House was a perfect place to stay. There was such attention to detail. Our bedroom was beautiful, with a king size bed and amazing views of Chapel Lawn. There was a home made lemon drizzle cake, bottled water, tea and coffee, and even a little pack of emergency items in case we had forgotten anything. For walkers, the place is a dream as there is a map room with walking ideas and maps that can be borrowed. We had ordered a packed lunches for one of our walks, which were excellent and very good vale. Breakfasts were tasty and ingredients locally sourced where possible, definitely a highlight of the day. For electric car users there is a charging point installed. There are local walks right on the doorstep if you don’t want to drive further afield, with clear directions provided - Definitely worth it as the area is beautiful and some of the views superb. Even recommendations for local pubs were provided. After a days walking the School House is a haven of warmth and comfort to return to. Truly a great place to stay and to feel the stresses of the world fall away. We will be back for our third visit - There is so much of Shropshire for us yet to see.

Absolutely wonderful! Couldn't ask for more from our hosts. The rooms are wonderfully decorated and comfortable, breakfasts were delicious with all the homemade treats from bread to jam and locally sourced produce. The whole area was beautiful with lots of walking trails and ruins to see close by. Everything you could ask for when looking to get away for a bit to slow down and enjoy natures beauty.

We are moving into the area later in the year and, having previously met David and Claire while exploring around Chapel Lawn, we decided to book into The School House while on another exploratory trip
We're so glad we did. Our stay, albeit brief, was very comfortable and peaceful - two things you need when your settling down to ruminate on the prospect new life in the Redlake Valley
A sumptuous bed, home made goodies when we arrived and a trencherman's breakfast in the morning meant that we were well rested and ready to put our boots on the next day
Both hosts willingly shared a wealth of local knowledge with us, helping to paint a picture of what our new life could be like
One thing is certain though, we now know that we have one set of very pleasant neighbours who we will be living nearby
Thank you both very much for a lovely stay, we thoroughly recommend The School House

Well, where to start? We had a brilliant 3 night stay at the School House in the Caradoc room. Could not fault the room, massive comfy bed, amazing views from bedroom windows, lovely bathroom - and of course the lemon drizzle cake. Plus, had forgotten just how much we liked jelly babies..!
Breakfast was absolutely top notch, and as hosts, Clare & Dave could not have been friendlier or more helpful.
We're already looking to pay a visit later in the year!
Highly recommended.

This was our second visit to the School House and it was lovely to return. We had the best couple of nights sleep, so much so that when we got home we ordered the same mattress topper that Clare and Dave use. We love having the sitting room in the Brineddin suite, with the starlight through the skylight (you can shut the blind if you prefer) and the view from the bedroom window. Breakfast was excellent, as ever, as was Clare's fantastic lemon drizzle cake. We will be back again.

We stayed for 2 nights at the school house and were made very welcome. We stayed in the Caradoc room. Beautiful views very comfy bed and so peaceful. The homemade lemon cake provided in the room was delicious with a plentiful supply of tea, coffee and water. Hosts are very friendly and informative and do a wonderful breakfast. Surroundings are beautiful and Interesting places to visit nearby. We would love to stay again soon

A really fantastic B & B. Clare and Dave can be so proud of their business. Every thing you could want was provided. Breakfast was excellent and very well presented. The only reason I dropped a star for location is the narrow lane in both directions to get you back onto a B road. I know that can’t be changed but it’s something to be aware of. Excellent choice of pubs with restaurants in the area so I don’t think anyone would be disappointed with their choice of accommodation

Had a lovely stay at the School House B&B recently. Comfortable big room, excellent food and friendly knowledgeable hosts. The breakfast was delicious. We felt very well looked after.
There are several walks to do from the door with lots of wildlife to see. The scenery is outstanding.
We hope to return. It's such a beautiful area, and a very relaxing place to stay.

Clare and Dave are great hosts, our room was spotless and spacious with a separate sitting area (with a small fridge) and comfortable bed, breakfast was great, and the wifi excellent. As location suitability varies by guest's plans - we needed proximity to Knighton and so for us the location was convenient (provided you are traveling by car).

Lots of thoughtful touches, including home baked gluten and dairy free home baked cake. Comfortable bed, cotton bedding and bouncy pillows. Comfortable seating in room for both of us. Welcome basket for our dog. Immaculately clean. Excellent breakfast with very good quality ingredients and perfect poached egg. Free charging for our electric car. Outstanding hosting. A perfect stay to celebrate my retirement.
Many thanks Clare & Dave!

Our stay at the School House was absolutely wonderful. The room we stayed in was large, comfortable, and has a beautiful outlook over the surrounding hills. The hosts, Clare and Dave, are so warm and friendly, and they really do go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome. We particularly appreciated their thoughtful anniversary card that they left in our room, their helpful recommendations that really helped us to make the most of our weekend, and the fantastic breakfasts (the homemade vegetarian sausages and Clare’s granola were so delicious!). A perfect rural retreat for exploring this stunning part of the world!

We have stayed in many B&B’s over the years, several of which have been very good. The School House is in a league above.
Idyllically situated for peace and quiet and for countryside walks, yet only a short drive to several good pubs, the accommodation was spotlessly clean and the facilities perfect. We particularly liked the Map Room containing maps (rather obviously!) and walking guides, plus plenty of local information.
Dave and Clare were welcoming and helpful throughout – and produce a most excellent breakfast!

Spent 2 days at this fabulous B&B , very quiet & peaceful only sound at night was the tawny owls & in the daytime the sheep. Amazing breakfast with lots of homemade goodies including lemon drizzle cake to greet you in your room all made by Claire. Lovely toiletries including bubble bath for a relaxing bath & nice cosy dressing gowns. Had the bedroom picnic which was very tasty.

Everywhere was spotless. Dave was very helpful when we needed help with our car. Brilliant friendly hosts. Claire very kindly shares her recipes for her homemade granola & sausage .

This is one of those places which, on one hand, you want to recommend to everyone but on the other hand, you really don't... Just in case you can't get a reservation again yourself!!!
Clare & Dave are fabulous hosts with excellent knowledge of this beautiful part of the country.
The rooms are super clean and comfortable. Breakfasts are amazing (Clare's poached eggs, in particular), and there's always some sweet-treat goodies to welcome you - a gorgeous lemon drizzle cake this time.
It's so very peaceful.
We've been before & we'll come again! Superb!

We recently stayed at this delightful B & B and received a very warm welcome from Clare and Dave. Our room was gorgeous, it was luxurious with fine linens and great views of the rolling Shropshire countryside from the windows.
We had the most delicious breakfast with quality products which were locally sourced. We note others have mentioned Clare’s perfectly, poached eggs and would have to agree. It set us up for the day. The packed lunches were also generous and filled with lovely food goodies. We hope to return soon and would recommend without hesitation.

We have recently returned home from a 3 night stay at School House. It was a brilliant experience, Clare and Dave are wonderful hosts. The room was so spacious and there was everything we needed. The breakfasts were great, using local produce wherever possible. Lovely to find a lemon drizzle cake in a tin waiting for us !! We chose to have a "bedroom picnic " and it was all waiting for us. We also could thoroughly recommend The baron at Bucknell and The lion at Leintwardine. We can't wait to return and explore more of Shropshire

Absolutely top notch service. Lovely welcoming touch with a lemon drizzle cake on arrival with complementary hot drinks and spring water. Grounds and rooms immaculate as was the breakfast which set us up well for the day. Packed lunch was good too. Nice to have planned walks to hand to get to know the area better for all ability levels. Beautiful views of the surrounding hills from our room. The signal is intermittent with the wifi as we were warned but no surprise due to the wonderfully remote location. We could see why it rated highly with Trip Advisor too!

Lovely B&B nestled in the Shropshire Hills and great for exploring this area. Clare and Dave have thought of everything, wonderful room and great breakfast with lots of nice touches. No problem being vegan and the dog friendly room was fantastic. Very much enjoyed our stay.
