Wild Thyme Italian

We enjoyed a pleasant weekday evening here. The food was the most authentically Italian, handmade fair you could wish for and at a very reasonable price. Given the high standard amazed it wasn’t busier. Service was attentive and thoughtful.

We enjoyed a lovely evening in this small (ish) Italian inspired resturant last summer. I still dream about the lasagna 6 months later. It was very busy when we arrived and the front of house (Who we later found out was the owners son) was rushed off his feet. He was coping well though and was very efficient. For us it was a relaxed experience and when things calmed down later in the evening we were able to have a good chat about pretty much everything as well as the food. We really enjoyed it and would very much recommend both the food and service.

We were lucky to have lunch just before serving ended: venison ragu & gnocchi, mushroom ravioli; both absolutely delicious. Loved the atmosphere and we were really well looked after. Thank you.

Absolutely amazing food. So different. The wild game Ragu was so special. Loved the butternut squash soup. And what an ice-cream salted caramel cheesecake icecream.Yum wish we lived closer.

Stumbled across this place almost by accident on a Friday lunch time. The beef, pork & fennel Ragu with Gnocchi was excellent, I would go there regularly if it was a 3 hour drive away. Prices were really reasonable as well! We only had tap water to drink so I can't comment on the drinks prices, but the portion size was perfect for lunchtime and only £8-£9 per person.

This is a lovely restaurant with friendly staff. The food is delicious, all homemade. We have been lots of times for lunch. I recommend the gnocchi, meatballs and the salted caramel cheesecake icecream is amazing. Lunch is very reasonable with mains roughly £8 a head.

Lovely little restaurant where nothing feels like too much trouble. Clever use of an awkward but interesting architectural space. Delicious food and a calm, relaxed atmosphere. Also - big plus - no irritating musack in the background.

Just come back from a meal at Wild Thyme Italian. It was lovely My partner, my dog and myself had a fabulous evening and meal in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. It has a certain ambiance which makes you feel like you are in a traditional bistro in Italy. Good food, good service can’t fault it. Definitely worth a visit.

A fantastic looking menu. We had a lovely lunch here on a Saturday. Pitch perfect food and excellent wine. Exceptional value for money. The service was excellent, the waiter charming - the son of the chef. The only bad thing is that this place is not open all week! We cant wait to go back again!

This evening we enjoyed a fantastic meal at this lovely little restaurant. We have been staying in the local area and wanted a small intimate dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The Wild Thyme Italian suited the bill perfectly!

We enjoyed a lovely starter of olives and bread and a meat antipasti which was great. Then shared 3 starters as our main. My gnocchi was completely gorgeous as was my husbands crab linguine.To finish we had one of so most perfectly balanced tiramisu’s I’ve ever had. The waitress was very attentive and we cannot fault her. If your visiting Presteigne, going to Little Thyme is a must!!

Lovely meal. My husband said it was the best steak he’d had for ages. The pasta dishes of other diners looked amazing and my salmon dish was lovely. Friendly service, so glad to have ‘found’ it.

Good quality food and friendly service. It would have been five stars if the salmon in the main course had not been well over cooked. Will go again.

Visited my old friend who now lives in Presteign. Passed the interesting little restaurant while looking round on Sat,17th Sept. The menu and look inside was enticing, so we booked for the evening. Couldn’t have been more enjoyable, fantastic food, good wine, and charming waitress serving us, made it a lovely experience. Definitely will be back! Thankyou.

We had a supper which was out of this world. Italian dumplings with wild garlic pesto were stupendous. I had fabulous perfectly cooked monkfish with a scrumptious stuffing served with vegetables cooked à point. The service was excellent, a very friendly and thoughtful waiter. An absolute treat all round!

We've been camping locally and have come two mornings in a row for coffee and some cake.

Incredibly welcoming, fantastic coffee and cake out of this world!

Will definitely come back whenever we're camping here again!
