My husband and I got married here in September 2023. We initially found the venue whilst trawling through google and it immediately caught our eye. Upon our initial viewing we fell in love with the gorgeous farm and surrounding landscape. Natalie, our wedding co-ordinator, was beyond helpful and made the whole process so easy and as stress free as possible.
The food tasting we went to a few months after choosing the venue made for some very difficult decisions, all of the food was amazing and I loved that it was locally/home grown.
We opted to stay at Old Great Marlborough, which is owned by Wild by Nature. It was the perfect size for 20 of us, and was in an idyllic setting just inside of Wales. The house itself was gorgeous and I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to be surrounded by friends/family throughout. We spent all of our time outside enjoying the tennis courts, bbq, hot tub and massive grounds. It definitely made the day feel so much more relaxing and we were all able to get ready together which definitely lessened some of my nerves.
The set up day and our wedding day went by so smoothly, all thanks to Natalie and the staff at the venue who were so welcoming and made sure everything went by without a hitch. Our wedding day was beyond anything we could have dreamed of and I hope the few pictures I add will do it justice. All of the photos are from our amazing photographer Che Birch-Hayes. The food and drinks were a big hit, the rhubarb mules, pavlova and canapés, as a whole, are still talked about 6+ months on! The venue amazed everyone we spoke to and lots of people said they had no idea that such amazing countryside was nestled there. The weather was perfect and we spent the day outside in the sun and all evening dancing the night away with good food and drinks. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

I attended a summer wedding here, absolutely amazing! 10/10 day out, from the ceremony to the activities, the pop up bar, the food (top class!) and the fire pits!

The staff were amazing and very friendly!

Possibly the best wedding venue I have ever been to!

As a wedding photographer, I can confidently say that Lower House Farm, hosted by Wild by Nature Weddings, is one of the most breathtaking venues I have had the pleasure of shooting at. From the moment you arrive, the stunning natural beauty of the place captivates you. The beautifully restored 17th-century barn, with its oak beams and vaulted ceilings, provides a rustic yet elegant backdrop that photographs beautifully in any light.

One of the highlights of this venue is its diverse range of picturesque spots for capturing those perfect moments. The enchanting waterfall is a hidden gem, offering a magical setting for romantic portraits. The outdoor cooking area, with its wood-fired kitchen, adds a unique and charming element to the event, creating an inviting atmosphere that's perfect for candid shots of guests enjoying the delectable, farm-to-table cuisine.

The gardens are impeccably maintained, full of vibrant wildflowers that make for stunning, colorful backdrops. The swing hanging from the majestic oak tree is a delightful spot that adds a whimsical touch to wedding photos, creating memorable, joyful images of the bride and groom. The ancient oak tree itself, standing proudly in the meadow, is a favorite spot for ceremonies and group shots, providing a sense of timeless beauty and grandeur.

Every corner of Lower House Farm is a photographer’s dream, with countless opportunities to capture the love and joy of the special day. The team at Wild by Nature Weddings is incredibly professional and attentive, ensuring that every detail is perfect, which makes my job as a photographer not only easier but an absolute joy. I highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a truly unique and naturally beautiful setting for their wedding day.

Lower House Farm is more than just a venue; it’s a canvas where unforgettable memories are made and beautifully captured. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

A great venue with amazing food. We got married here, so it's very special to us, the setting and staff were great. We've also been to another wedding here, and another 'feast' in the autumn. You can't beat the food, locally sourced meat on their, and other local farms.

There's a beautiful, big Oak tree at the bottom of the field, with a little stream below. And post the farm house is a little waterfall that's worth the 5 minute walk, but be sure to wear boots, as it's quite boggy if it's been raining.

We had the most brilliant wedding at Lower House Farm in May 2023. We chose it because we wanted somewhere beautiful where we could be ourselves, and the lovely team at Wild by Nature let us do just that. The staff are incredible and couldn’t have done more for us whilst also giving us the freedom to make the place our own for our big day. We’re big foodies and all our friends and family raved about the incredible food! The pavlova and evening curries particularly went down a storm! We’d definitely recommend Wild by Nature to anyone looking for a wedding venue. It has all the classic elements with quirky details, amazing staff and a stunning location. It’s perfect 💛 and thank you especially to Natalie and Nicole, who are just brilliant!

I couldn’t have asked for more!
Nicole took over co-ordinating our wedding and she was just lovely, nothing was too much trouble, she was direct and open and beyond helpful.

From the afternoon tea for myself and the bridesmaids the day before, to the main meal (the canapés were just spectacular), to evening pizza and breakfast the next day every bit of food was a delight with my guests telling me they had never had wedding food like it. We even went to their pub on the Sunday for lunch!

The bartenders did a margarita bar with a spicy rim just for us and were the loveliest crew, making my dad whatever weird baileys shots he wanted!
Every staff member I met was so sweet and helpful.

The setting is bohemian rustic, we got married under a tree and there’s an amazing waterfall nearby. It was a dream location!

Lula our gorgeous bridesmaid dog was so welcomed (and adored).

Not one thing went wrong in the planning, it was all so smooth and easy.

If I could give more star I would

Thank you all so so much

Heather and Alex

Words cannot describe how wonderful Lower House Farm is as a wedding venue. It is simply perfect!

We got married here in early November 2021 with a ceremony in the yard area and a fantastic meal inside the barn. Emily is a fantastic wedding coordinator and made sure the day went smoothly. From our initial contact to the day and beyond she has been there answering questions and helping us to plan our perfect day, nothing was ever too much trouble!

The food was fantastic, head chef Esther and her team created an incredible meal not to forget the delicious canapés to begin and pizzas in the evening. They catered for complex dietary requirements and the food was enjoyed by all. The vegetarian option was a particular hit amongst our guests!

The drinks were fantastic too with a delicious hot honey and gin drink that warmed everyone up, local wines and bubbles. A massive thanks to the bar team who were so incredibly friendly.

We used lots of the recommended suppliers who were all fantastic too.

Thank you Lower house farm for our perfect wedding day. We wouldn’t change a thing and would recommend you to anyone considering getting married in the area. We cannot thank you enough.

We cannot recommend Lower House Farm enough, we first viewed the venue in August 2021 and were so happy to finally get married in June 2023. The location is simply breath-taking and the venue and setting compliment each other perfectly, a beautifully cared for collection of barns and spaces which feel relaxed and welcoming.

The team at Lower House Farm were so attentive, both in the lead up to our wedding and on the day itself, delivering a brilliant service whilst remaining discrete and without imposing on our day.

The food was incredible and the portion sizes were super generous.

Myself and my husband are looking forward to attending future events at the farm, the place is incredibly special to us.

We had the most wonderful day at Lower House Farm celebrating our marriage. It is the most beautiful venue, and we were blessed with fantastic weather, which really made the most of the superb scenery.
So many of our friends and family commented that it was the best venue they had ever been to and we agree!
The food was delicious, and all of our guests with dietary requirements were so well catered for.
Emily and the team were so wonderful every step of the way, and made our day run seamlessly. They liaised with our band and travel company which took pressure off on the day. Every question and request was well received and we would like to thank them for every effort they made in making our day so special.
We cannot recommend this venue enough!

Lower House Farm is a special and magical place, as are all of the team who work there. We knew as soon as we visited that we wanted to get married at this beautiful venue. Rustic, natural, relaxed and effortlessly beautiful. We worked with Natalie, the wedding coordinator, who was an absolute dream. She was funny, kind, responsive and always quick to answer any questions or adapt to changing requests. Honestly Natalie and the team were simply stellar and hands down the easiest part of planning the wedding. On the day everything was perfect and the guests are still raving about the food!!! The pavlova is to die for, no joke!. If you're looking for a gorgeous natural venue, with an intimate feel and lots of support and freedom to make your day special and reflect you as a couple, then look no farther than Lower House Farm. The venue has so many beautiful spaces and is a stunner whether its rain or shine. We hope to be back for their other events many years in to the future. Thank you all again for such a perfect day. You are magic makers!

We booked our wedding at Lower House Farm two years in advance (during the pandemic) and throughout the whole lead up to our big day, the Wild By Nature team remained attentive, accommodating, thoughtful and supportive in every way you could ask for! Their venue absolutely sang in the Autumn sunshine and we were so thrilled to be able to have our ceremony under their stunning oak tree. Having the wedding breakfast in the restored barn on their long feasting tables gave it exactly the convivial, generous feeling we were going for. We really appreciated the team going the extra mile and securing an extra license to be able to have our ceilidh band play in their covered courtyard. The team’s help with set up and take down made a huge difference to our experience. Last but by no means least, the food was exceptional! From the canapés to the drinks, the incredible slow roast hogget to the fantastic curries, our guests were so impressed by the quality (and quantity) of food and drink on offer. If you are looking for a relaxed venue that will make you fall in love with the outdoors all over again and food that will keep you and your guests talking for months, this is the venue for you.

Great job by Nicole and her team for our wedding. Everything ran smoothly and as planned, while keeping a relaxed feel for everyone.

The venue itself is wonderfully understated yet incredibly beautiful, creating a fantastic atmosphere. The main room looked stunning for both the ceremony & reception.

Special mention for the food which everyone has been commenting on just how good it was!

Thanks for a perfect day, we wouldn't have changed a thing

Wow - we are still on cloud nine after our wedding at Lower House Farm last week. It was the most beautiful location to get married, with incredibly delicious food, amazing staff and a wonderful place to stay for the weekend.

We felt fully supported every step of the way by Natalie, who also helped coordinate on the day which was especially important to us as we did most of it ourselves.

It was important to us that we got married somewhere with space outside, locally sourced food and a relaxed atmosphere and Lower House Farm was just that. We cannot recommend it enough.

Our guests had the most wonderful day and all agreed it was well worth travelling for - some as far as Dublin, Perth and Vancouver!

If we could do it all over again this week, we would in a heartbeat!

Thank you - Lauren & Rob

Beautiful place to get married.

Option to be married under a tree, or in an old barn.

Plenty of space for cars and tents if you want to camp. Long drop toilets and solar heated shower.

Space is limited inside, so wouldn't expect it to cater for more than 100 guests or so.

Decent WiFi on site to upload photos.

Food good, although breakfast options are fairly simple, especially if you have fussy young ones.

It's a working farm too, so expect to see animals - and drive on farm tracks.

We got married at Lower House Farm last week and I'm still buzzing from the most fabulous day. The planning process has been smooth and easy and the Wedding Coordinators Emily and Natale have been nothing but helpful and genuinely thoughtful.
The setting is stunning with jaw dropping scenery, and the surroundings and available space ensures that there are loads of options for how you use the space on your day. It means that whatever the weather, there are beautiful spaces for you and your guests.
The food is immense - from the canapes, roast Porchetta, pavlova and pizzas - I wish I could eat it all over again! Everyone commented on how fabulous the food was (and all of our food intolerances, allergies and requirements were catered for wonderfully.)
The staff were so helpful and kind on the day, friendly and incredibly efficient. It was also the small details that I really noticed; my husband and I were whisked off for photos during the canapes. Natalie, the Wedding Coordinator noticed this and brought us out our own plate of canapes so we had something to eat. So thoughtful!
I couldn't have wished for more. It was truly the most special day - thank you to all the staff who made it happen.

We had our wedding here after booking it 8 weeks prior to the event! We just couldn't resist having their last day of year available after arranging to view it. It turns our it's perfectly possible to organise a wedding in 8 weeks! at least when you're lucky enough to have found a venue you love the has availability. Nicole, the coordinator, was massively helpful throughout the whole planning period and nothing was too much to ask from her. She was able to advise on anything we couldn't figure out or needed help with, they have an excellent list of suppliers, a couple of which we ended up using. Though the venue is spectacular alone, for us the main selling point was the food! All cooked in an outside kitchen either over fire or coals, or a wood fired oven for the pizzas. Everything was as amazing as it sounded on paper. They also take extra concern with the environmental impacts of the event, sourcing everything as local as possible and any products we were getting in were kindly requested to be biodegradable/recyclable etc, something we were also very happy with. Once we have some photos we will be uploading them as soon as possible.
