The whole experience of hiring a van through JourneyFunk was extremely smooth, when we collected the van Phil went through all of the features of “Frank” the van we had hired for the weekend. What a head turner the van is! Phil when equipping his camper vans has considered just about everything, including a fantastic welcome pack so we could celebrate our weekend away. I would have no hesitation in recommending JourneyFunk to anyone who wants to experience camper-van life, which can allow you have weekend and views like those that we were fortunate to see. Me and my partner rented a van back in August, the van we hired was amazing and the guys at Journeyfunk were super friendly and helpful, answering our questions at any time of day. We had some amazing adventures in Derek! He was well equipped with everything we needed, fitted out to a very high standard & was a very comfortable drive & ride. Phil was very friendly and gave us a thorough run through of everything we needed to know before we set off. A very important plus to us was the early pick up & late drop off which meant we had 4 full days to explore & gave us the maximum campervan experience! A brilliant time was had by all including the dogs! We can’t wait to do it all again & we are missing Derek already!

We would argue that the NC500 is best experienced in a campervan, facilitating an ideal compromise between comfort, flexibility and accessibility; if undertaking the trip in campervan it obviously has to be a VW! And to fulfil such a desire one really has to look no further than the fantastic service offered by Long Whatton, Leicestershire based Journeyfunk. The proprietor, Phil Kibble, is a campervan perfectionist who has every detail and requirement covered, and we cannot recommend his services highly enough.

Well what can we say? Apart from what a fantastic experience! We absolutely loved our adventures and travels around the Peak District in Percy, the perfect companion.

We had an AMAZING adventure in our VW camper. Service was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble, quick response to emails and great advice from Phil. The van is well equipped with everything you might need, it was spotless when we picked it up and Phil explained everything before we set off. Absolutely amazing service and fantastic campervans that are spec'd out to the highest quality. Beautifully looked after and clean throughout. Looked like a brand new van! It was our first time with Journey Funk but will definitely be coming back some time soon!

A quality VW camper and amazing service. We hired the van and awning for a long weekend. It looked amazing and worked like a dream. Phil was great at providing information and was always quick to respond when booking. He took us through how to use the van and set up on site - all very clearly. He offered to answer queries whilst away. Price was comparable with other providers but I wonder if the van and service would be as good as Journeyfunk. Would use again.

We have just returned from 8 days away with a camper from Journeyfunk and it was an amazing holiday from start to finish. Phil was very helpful from our first enquiry through to handing the camper back today and everything we needed was supplied.
The vehicle was hi-spec and immaculate. We were very impressed + we have had various friends ask for the company’s details as they want to hire it themselves (we also had several people walk up to us at the campsites to ask about the camper, commenting on it’s looks and interior). Our 4 year old LOVED the pop top bed and his review was that it was the best holiday ever!
The whole process was very clear, so we knew what was included and Phil made sure everything went very smoothly.
My best recommendation is to say we have already told him we would like to book again for next year 😁

Rented a VW camper for a week during the October half term. The camper was brand new and the service was first class. We were very impressed and our two girls (6 & 8) absolutely loved it! Phil has kitted out the campers with everything you need and is great to deal with. I can highly recommend Jouneyfunk and we'll definitely be renting again in the new year.

Excellent Service and an incredible Campervan!
We hired one for the weekend, two adults and an 8 year old and it was perfect. The Campervan is equipped with everything you need. We were surprised how spacious it was, we loved every minute of it! It was also a pleasure to drive. We’ll definitely hire one again.

Hired from New Zealand which could have made things more difficult but Phil was so easy to work with that the process could not have been simpler. Van was great. Definitely would book with journeyfunk again.

Fantastic rental company. Our first time doing something like this and it was made so easy and fun. We were taken through everything and shown how it all works. If we had any problems a phone call to the owner to help us out was no trouble at all.
Will definitely be using them again, would highly recommend using Journey funk if you're interested in going on a camper van break.
