The Cider Barn

We moved to the area in the last year and had heard some great things about this place.
My wife booked a Monday night table for my birthday (not many good places open on a Monday in the shire) -
How lucky was I to have this as a treat, the cider wasn’t bad either!

Flavours on dishes was so well thought out, we often eat at Michelin star rewarded places and this was on a par!

Really recommend here, definitely be coming back very soon!

What a beautiful restaurant set in a beautiful location, and serving beautiful food. We went here on a Saturday night to celebrate a birthday, and it was an amazing experience made special by the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the staff. If you're looking to go out for a meal, then definitely go a try, you won't be disappointed.

We visited on Easter Sunday for a birthday lunch and were completely blown away by every little detail. From the moment we arrived, the service, food, organisation, and decor was just perfect and we couldn't have hoped to stumble upon anywhere better. It's even dog friendly which was just wonderful. With every new course, the flavours and quality of food just completely blew us away. The best meal that we have both ever had and we have even discussed journeying back to Herefordshire (2 hours each way for us) just for a Sunday lunch at the cider barn. Book. Eat it all. You won't regret it!

Amazing! Highly recommend. I had the partridge to start, venison for a main and chocolate and juniper dessert. All dishes were full of a mix of flavours that really complemented each other. It is in an old barn that's full of warmth and a cosy atmosphere. The staff were friendly and service was surprisingly quick considering everything was fresh. Definitely needing a return visit.

We had a lovely lunch here on Saturday at 1:30pm. Service was excellent, I've never had such good quality food served so quickly - a real credit to the waitresses and chefs. Definitely on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for. Would recommend the beef hash and the chocolate tart!

Possibly the nicest meal I've eaten in Hereford. Quality ingredients, deliciously put together and friendly staff. 100%recommended. Returned for a Sunday lunch, which didn't disappoint. Welcome cider or apple juice & 3 amazing courses for £32. Simply delicious.

Here for a family wedding, unfortunately the weather meant most of the day was spend indoors or out on the terrace. The place was turned around for an indoor wedding and the results were wonderful!

Superb Sunday lunch, prompt response to my email in the morning facilitated a late booking. And what a stroke of luck. I've not visited this venue for 3 decades, and oh boy is the food fantastic. (Not to mention the house Cider and Perry ☺).
Marvelous ingredients cooked to perfection. So full after our amazing starters and mains of Pork Belly (oh, the Cider gravy 😋), we're going to have to plan a swift return, just to sample the desserts 👌

We went here for a special occasion and weren't disappointed as the food was fantastic. Well presented and the flavours were amazing. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Great setting along with some very nice cider as well. We highly recommend The Cider Barn and next time we're in Herefordshire again we will be back.

My fiancé and I visited a friend in Hereford this weekend, and before heading over to his house, we decided to stop off for lunch.
We came across The Cider Barn on Google Maps and with an average score of 4.9/5 with 200+ reviews, I knew we had to check it out.

From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect; the service was great, we got to enjoy the UK sunshine from the terrace with idyllic farmland views, and the food - just wow!
Every single course was cooked and seasoned to perfection, with balanced flavours & textures. My fiancé said it was definitely the best meal he’s had this year, and possibly one of his favourite meals he’s ever had.

It is clear The Cider Barn have carefully crafted their menu and take pride in using Herefordshire’s fresh & local produce in their dishes. If you’re in Hereford, you need to eat here! I can see why the average rating is so high.

A glorious evening at the cider barn this weekend! While staying in the area and after several recommendations from locals we called to see if we could be squeezed in that day and are so glad we were. The staff were jovial and helpful, the setting was beautiful and the food was incredible. Though we live a fair distance away we will definitely be back should the opportunity present itself.

A beautiful building, friendly staff and delicious food. The atmosphere is also very relaxed, that you feel it’s just you and your fellow diners at the table, but a good buzz of conversation in the background. Will definitely go back.

Cannot recommend the Cider Barn for food enough.

We had a wonderful meal, the service was excellent led by Freya and her team, this felt like an authentic gem.

My only tiny criticism is we almost didn't attend as the vegetarian menu wasn't on their website, I'll attach here, needless to say, we were really impressed. In fact the vegetarian options were so good, that my partner (a self confessed meat lover) even ordered a vegan option too.

Would recommend the marinated tomato starter, celeriac fritters as a main and the fried doughnuts, which came with a delicious citrus curd and fennel sugar.

Set in a historic barn with lovely outside seating, a quiet area, it was well worth the long drive.

Our visit to The Cider Barn was for my husband's Birthday. I found this lovely little place by chance and I am so glad that I did you wouldn't know it was there unless you were looking for it. But once you get inside it is beautiful, lovely calming and warm interior, a charming converted barn. The toilets are well kept and clean. On arrival staff were very friendly and helpful with a good sense of humour immediately making us all feel welcome.
I had the pheasant for my starter, which is to die for!! Perfectly cooked with lovely flavours and textures surrounding it, I could have eaten that as a main! Our mains that came out were well presented, perfectly cooked and tasted divine. For desert I had the cheesecake with BlackBerry sorbet. It was nice, it wasn't amazing but it was lovely, the best part was the very refreshing sorbet. Once we had finished our meals we were not rushed to pay and leave, it was all a very relaxed and comfortable evening with pleasant staff. I would definitely recommend! ❤ I hope to return again soon.

At last I've discovered a restaurant with a chef that obviously knows his trade. Great combinations of flavours and outstanding perfectly cooked vegatables. Also try the great local draught cider. Oh yes nearly forgot the efficient and attentive staff. Top notch..

I went to a wedding yesterday and it was fabulous . The place its self was beautiful . The food was the best and the service + staff were so professional and friendly . I could not fault anything .

Booked a family meal for 16 to celebrate a 70th birthday and it was a superb experience. Our party included young children and everyone enjoyed themselves.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and everyone's meal was excellent. Food was served promptly and was delicious for vegan and non-vegan alike.
When we arrived we were offered a free glass of cider or apple juice which was a nice touch.

Absolutely amazing place, we had our wedding reception here when restrictions were at 30 guests. Pauline was fabulous every step of the way, organising the fine details. We dropped off our decorations, the staff set them all up perfectly, our little corner looked beautiful. The food was amazing! Thank you sophie. And paul made sure we had everything we needed throughout the night. Highly recommended. Thank you and all your staff for making our day perfect.

Yhis is great little bar/restaurant out in the middle of nowhere yhe cider us great the food is top nothing yhe staff are friendly and helpful. Make sure you stop off at the shop next door aa you leave.
