The Stagg Inn

We went for dinner twice on our week visit to the area.
The food, wine list and service were fabulous.
The price v quality is all important and in this case, bravo.
I have been in the on trade 40+ years and still am.
It’s so lovely to see a family run, independent establishment doing everything right.
We cannot comment on the rooms as did not stay.

An excellent meal and a great welcome from the Mum, Dad and Daughter team. Recently beautifully refurbished, The Stagg Inn is a jewel of a find. We can't recommend highly enough. You won't be disappointed.

Everything about our experience was great! From the greeting to leaving. Staff were attentive, rooms were comfortable, and the area was lovely. The food and wine were lovely and plentifull. An all round a fab experience. We also went out in one of he morgan cars for the day. Which was also an enjoyable and great experience. 👍 thank you. 😊

Last minute stay at The Stagg and it didn't disappoint, wonderful welcome, made to feel at home.
The dinner was exceptional, we both agreed it was one of the best meals all round we have ever experienced, well done to all involved.

Morgan Experience.
Great welcome from Lisa and Keith who made us feel at home immediately. The room was lovely, with some nice touches such as fresh milk for tea and coffee (re-freshed again in the morning). The standard and quality of the food in the restaurant was excellent, as was the service. Good wine list too.
After a super continental breakfast served by Lisa, Keith gave us a rundown on the tour route plus a few points we needed to be aware of. He then led us to the car and delivered a very comprehensive briefing on how to drive and get the best from a Morgan.
The pre-programmed satnav worked flawlessly and took us through some stunningly beautiful country. The stop-off points have been well chosen.
Overall an excellent and thoroughly enjoyable short break. Highly recommended.

We decided to revisit The Stagg in Titley this evening, and wow were we impressed!
Now run by a delightfully friendly family The Stagg has a fresh, clean modern but cosy family feel with delightful decor to match. There's a bar area which leads onto an uncluttered tastefully decorated dining area. The conveniences have had a fabulous upgrade. Further round is the snug/drinks/entertainment area, with sumptuous seating and magnificent mirrors.
Further round there is a beautiful private dining area with a cosy fire. Both Lisa and Imogen were engaging and friendly, ensuring each guest is attended to.
The food was blissful. Presentation was spot on. Portion size was exactly correct. Hats off to the Chef, brava!
The overall ambience and feel was elegant but homey, special and welcome.
We will certainly return.

Delicious meals. Very charming service. A good bottle of Muscadet. Nice interior.

Had a great evening on Saturday we were very well looked after and food was really nice. Good to see The Stagg open again. The decor is great! Wishing them well going forward.

Everything was perfect for us , the overnight stay was excellent, loved our room , everyone was very friendly and couldn't do enough for us , the food was superb. The Morgan drive was brilliant got me back to when driving was proper driving none of the extras you get now.

Great stay, dinner, breakfast, Morgan experience. Keith and Lisa made the experience amazing with a fab welcome and first class service and food. Good luck for the future

Can't recall a more enjoyable Sunday Roast, it was an absolute banger!

Have got to say myself and my hubby have just come back from this hotel,everything about this place is first class from entering the hotel to leaving,nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff who were constantly on hand for any requirements or questions

We loved the decor, especially the jugs. The service was amazing and the turbot was outstanding. We met the chef, his mother and the chef's son - all totally charming. Lovely people. We went for my dad's 60th birthday and he had a really special time. Great memories.

Had an outstanding meal today with my wife.
The food was exquisite, Queen scallop superb and the jus with the steak was brilliant.

The service was attentive and the owner was informative and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience all round!

We found this stunning inn by mistake and were so pleased we did.

Greeted by the owner on a hot sunny day we were seated in a shady corner and treated like old friends.

Nothing was too much and with a little one in tow that was appreciated. We had gluten free bread, dairy-free options, and even some bespoke cucumber finger starters on our request!

The food? Oh wow. Stunning steak sandwich with the juiciest meat. My partners pork was equally delicious.

The beer was perfectly poured, the staff were superbly attentive.

It was so good, we booked our in-laws in for dinner the next night!

Please do try this place it was one of the most amazing lunches I’ve had and the experience was made all that better by the team and venue. Amazing.

Not normally a lover of Sunday lunches, but the fathers day lunch we had today was amazing, thoroughly enjoyed by all and we will definitely return for another. Big thank you to the staff for the friendly and happy service as well.

Great food with very friendly staff. All the dishes were made to perfection. We had a very comfortable stay in the rooms and the hospitality was fantastic. I definitely recommend a visit here!

Fantastic two night stay with good friends. Beautifully presented and comfortable guest accommodation. Cleverly designed garden area with seating and lots of fruit bearing shrubs and trees. Staff were extremely considerate and welcoming. Great selection of drinks from the bar. Meals were served in good time and were an exceptionally high standard. The lamb dish, pannacotta and vegetable wellington were certainly a hit during our two night stay.

Great staff made us feel very welcome. Salmon starter needs more work. The dressed crab was excellent as was the surf and turf special and the pork belly. Service was top class throughout the evening. Thank you.

Some years since we were last here. Stayed 2 nights and dined on both. Our bedroom was in the pub this time, previously we were in the Old Vicarage. It was spotless, great creaky wooden floors! As for the food, well it was amazingly sublime. Great quality ingredients beautifully cooked and presented. My husband had his eye on a particular dish on the sample website menu and Nicola surprised him with that the second night which was so kind of her. All the staff were friendly and professional too. Very much a recommend. Made to feel special.
