Loved it. The best meal I have had in a long time and good value for money. It felt like they were good ingredients and cooked and served with a passion for service and quality. The meal also included lovely complimentary bread and butter.

We were lucky to visit on the off chance but were not disappointed. We had parfait, Lamb, Chicken Supreme and dessert and drinks.

All of the food was really nice. It felt like all of the food was perfectly cooked - the lamb was nicely done on the outside and still moist. The chicken again felt perfectly cooked. The veg and sauces accompanying these were also great and full of lovely flavours that seemed to be well-balanced.

The environment was lovely and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Thanks so much for a lovely great quality surprise nice meal. We will be back. Thanks

Whilst staying at Stretton Lakes, we pre booked a table at Jackson stops! On entry, the staff were absolutely amazing and friendly. We had a three course meal to include drinks, service was very good, food was also very good! We will definitely be returning. In fact, before leaving, we re booked a table. We'll done, keep up the good work.

Didn't eat, but food looked stunning. Popped in for a few pints of cider. Lovely bar staff. Friendly locals. Located in beautiful village. Highly recommend.

Top quality, superb food, attentive friendly bar and serving team, offering great wine and food menu. No surprise this is Michelin-rated - I’ve visited several times, whether for a quick pub lunch or sumptuous and relaxing evening meal. Definitely good to book in advance - just a stone’s-throw from the A1. A gem in Rutland and highly, highly recommended.

A wonderful little village pub with an authentic cosy atmosphere. The old entrance porch is no longer used, so access is now straight into the tiny bar area, complete with Nurdling game area.

There are separate large dining areas. The food is fantastic, although it has lost its Michelin stars over the last couple of years.

Staff are incredibly friendly, and the service is fast and professional.

If you're looking for a cosy, traditional village pub with a genuinely welcoming atmosphere and a few quirks, give this one a try.

Nothing quite like it really. A very, very good restaurant set in an old country house/pub with small rooms with four to five tables each. Fireplaces in most of them, and a very cozy atmosphere. You are greeted in the bar area as you first go in, and then you are taken to your table. Very professional and caring staff, food was incredible. Prices are amazing for what you get, and it's definetly worth booking in advance.

Supert atmosphere service and food. Our party of four had different starters but my liver parfait was delicious. For the main course 3 of us had sea bass and one steak pie. I can only say the fish was absolutely superb. It came with a risotto that was,so light and tasty, complementing the flavour of the fish which was cooked to perfection. Definately the best meal I have had for a long time. The service was attentive but at the same time not rushed. An evening to remember.

Very good. Came here for a meal with my partner, and we were made to feel very welcome. All good that we had was of a good quality, and prepared fresh to order. Starters were presented very well, with lots of good flavour. The desserts were absolutely incredible as well, with all highly recommended. Staff are on point, very friendly and helpful.

We can’t star the food as we are at this moment here waiting for a Rac recovery vehicle. But the service and hospitality has been absolutely amazing. They have kindly let us stay inside even though officially closed rather than wait outside. I almost wish the recovery vehicle was going to be later than 17.30 as the menu looks mouthwatering.the very friendly locals back this up. So much so we intend to come back and camp nearby to explore the area and sample the food . I have stared the food based on local customers and from what little I have seemed

Had dinner here as a takeaway. The staff were great and talked us through what they had. We opted for mushroom parcel with potatoes and veg. I had the poached pear and my wife had the brownie.

The food was great and still hot when we got back. I can’t recommend and one thing because everything was fantastic. You won’t be disappointed.

We had the pleasure of an amazing Sunday Lunch @ Jackson Stops Inn yesterday. This was our first visit and will not be the last. It is rare to find a pub or restaurant that gets every detail right, but honestly our party of four could not fault anything. Service was exceptional, the food was Michelin standard, yet generously portioned and super value relative to what we ordered. The beer 1050? I think it was called was perfectly kept, if you are a real ale lover, make sure you are not the designated driver! Finally, even though they had stopped serving, we were not rushed and kicked back enjoying our coffees until we asked for the bill.
At this pricepoint I think anyone would struggle to find better. Many thanks to the Chef & Staff for looking after us so well. You have created a Gem. We will be back. Ness, Tony, Caroline & Chris.

The best place to meet friends and family for a meal! We had a superb Sunday lunch yesterday. The menu was appealing, the food was beautifully cooked and delicious, the staff, as always, were welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. And it's lovely to see an open fire when you walk in. See you again soon.

Excellent service. Very friendly and helpful staff. Cosy atmosphere. Well worth a visit. The menu looks very good, shame our visit didn't coinside with meal times.
